  1. @Big Rat agreed on the silver lining Best thing about silver is you will never notice small imperfection on/in the paintwork, and even when its dirty it looks clean lol. I've had all the other colours in different cars and they are a nighmare to stay on top of to keep clean.. especially black! Thinking if it white is good too .
  2. I had a issue with my GS bumper after a small scuff against a kerb cracked the bumper from a area which they told me had "a scratch" and needed painting, which i took Sheffield Lexus word. I was shocked to have seen a massive chunk of plastic missing and fillered like no tomorrow. They didnt get back to my messages at all which lead me to complain to head quarter's. I managed to get bumper of them in the end. Its defo worth a shot.
  3. Shame on them.. email Lexus complaints.. watch the dealers look at it from a different view after that.
  4. No they have not lol... i was going to swap the alloys over but after the full valet i was counting stars , so i called it a day. Took some pictures in the garage, not the greatest but i can tell you i didnt expect the silver to pop out that good (cant really tell in the pics)
  5. Here is Silvia. Shes only had a quick wash before getting wet in the rain (typical.. everytime i get my car washed it rains). She will be getting pampered to some SRP and HD wax later today, will post some pictues later. and before some one says.. i know the rear alloys need to be swapped lol.
  6. Thanks guys. I will get some pics up at some point. Unfortunately i wont be able to make the meet this time round, but maybe next time, will be good to meet/re-meet some of you after my last BW meet a few years ago.
  7. Been a long day and finally im back in a ISF. So as a few of you know which car it was.. so thanks for the tips. I can confirm all the service records have been confirmed by the specialist who said they only ever worked on one ISF and it was Mr so and so's (they actually said they had alot of inquiries about the service record lol). There are some very minor cosmetic to sort (me being anal) but otherwise the car is great, interior is near spotless and exterior is clean and tidy.. i really cant complain with what i paid (and it was not the asking price.. ;) The owners were open to the things i pointed out and we agreed a price after the usual hussle lol.. both father and son where great help. I actaully liked the silver once i saw it, not my first choice but its grown on me. It drives and pull fantasic (missed that F scream). My brother and i felt it was quicker then my last one for some reason. Good to be back in one.
  8. Hi Naz, i saw that car in birmingham when i had mine. Looked a bit rough, but looks like you kept it tidy in your possesion. How long you had it?
  9. What make exhaust is that? Sounds subtle.. i like.
  10. There is one on ebay.. grey one with 139k has 3 previous owners.. looks clean.. kinda tempted myself if im honest.. but really dont want 2 grey cars though. Its on for 12.7k i think.
  11. Its back on the trader if anyone fancys a ex cop car. http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201709079054260?atmobcid=soc3
  12. Hey guys, im in the market too looking for one.. i seen a white one (1st choice) on ebay with 91k. Also saw a black one on AT with lexus bristol.. was wondering if anyone on here owned any of these cars?
  13. Mainly beacsue i needed a daily drive car, the GS300h got the nod. Great on MPG, next ro nothing tax, cheap servicing etc etc. Reason i miss the ISF is because of its character on the street.. you can drive it like a normal IS and not make too much noise, go unnoticed, unlike like the AMGs or Ms or RSs are in your face. But knowing you have a V8 breathing under the bonnet. The thought of that was comforting alone, the looks, rarity, confortable, so no, it wasnt just speed i miss.
  14. I moved from ISF to CLS55 to GS300h.. and i love it. It takes some getting used to at first, as i was more custom to cars that shift when you touch the gas pedal. The 450h i know is a much quicker car and if it drives as good as the 300h then the only difference is bhp. I dont think you will be disapointed if you went from ISF to 450h. One thing i will tell you... i bloody dam miss the ISF.
  15. Always wished i bought Escort RS1600 (1985) or a Sierra RS500 Atm i own a Nissa Bluebird U11 (my85) 2.0SGL. You can see it here.
  16. I wouldnt touch another BMW tbh.. last one i had was 5 series (e60) top spec. I had to take it for a blast on the motorway for 40 mins every month to make sure it regens.. bloody joke. Im so glad im back in a Lexus, no more mandatory sprints and the hybrid give me more MPG with less racket and headache locally. Keep us posted how you get on.
  17. Yeah most likey, but atleast you/we have the option of fitting 112s on 114.3. Nice option to have tbh.
  18. UPDATE: i couldnt get the merc so i got hold of a galaxy which shares the same PCD of 112. So the first thing to mention is that the bore is smaller on thr galaxy alloy, so when i fitted it i just wanted to make sure the 5 bolt threads came through the alloy. The result is here: https://youtu.be/4Ph4Xsu4LKc
  19. My GS300H is giving me 34.7mpg local. I think i need to ban the mrs for a few week and test it myself.. but now it makes sense when she said she missed the ISF.
  20. Thanks buddy.. i will keep you in mind should i get in to any sort of issue.. I believe you guys are good with classic car insurance?
  21. Adapters are no go... i dont like them at all. I have seen some wariation bolts/nuts that cover 2.5mm so that wont be a issue, im going to try my mates E class AMG alloy (5x112) later today or tomorrow lunchtime and see what situ is. Insurance . . . Yeah thats another thing i need to look into. I keep you guys posted on after i try the Merc wheels.
  22. @VerboutWobble nuts?? Have you had any experience with these.
