  1. With great regret I moved away from Lexus (both ISF and GS300h). No major reason or issues, it was literally a matter of "just got the right price offered" for both and moved on. I have recently jumped back to Mercedes in a C300h premium plus, so it has plenty more goodies then the GS. I have to admit after driving the Merc for almost 3weeks, i drove the GS 2days before selling it and I can say the drive is so much better in the GS. The comparison may not be justified becuse the GS natural competition is the E class. I noticed the hybrid on the Merc also works on the motorway everytime you let go of the gas pedal, but inner city the Lexus stays in hybrid mode much longer (because of its bigger H battery). Overall the the mpg I get is similar inner city but the Merc, because of its diesel is better on long runs. Nevertheless it's only a short term departure from Lexus as I have owned more Lexus's then any other car, so I'm sure I will be back. If anyone is interested in a GS F Sport front bumper . .PM me.
  2. My brother has a 2012 CT200h F Sport with 137k and it drives like it had 50k.. i have a GS300h F Sport with 100k and you would never tell it had more then 30k. Excellent cars being super reliable holding very good value.
  3. My brother had his CT serviced (my2012) and was told your hybrid battery is covered for 10years regardless of getting it serviced by dealers for not.. that info was given by Lexus Birmingham service detp. He got a cert to say the battery is healthy for another year though. Personally i get the service parts from dealer and service myself as i dont really trust dealers anymore after hearing some cowboy errors. Keep the receipts..its worth more then a stamp.
  4. Just got the car back after getting a check over and no issues, i say no major issues. The only thing they said was that the wheel alignment is recommended, they usually charge £99, but for me they will charge £60. I for one second do not believe its the alignment as i have no pulling or uneven wear and nor is the steering off centre, plus they only RECOMMENDED, surely if it was off they would strongly advise. Anyway whilst the mechanic sat with me to take it for a test.. it would not make a noise like it does in the mornings.. but it did very so lightly. His reaction was, its just the way they are.. the went on to say the IS is alot worse, but its nothing to worry about and its just the cars characteristics. And thats it.
  5. I think im crossing the Jag of my list then. Tbh it didnt even cross my mind when i bought my 2nd ISF. It was only when i saw one around the corner from my house that struck me and it looked really nice. I have been doing some reading myself and the main things that keep popping up are the E-diff and the tyre sensors along with other minir issues but i guess they all stack up and yes the maintainance is high too on parts etc. Oh well looks like i wait out for a RCF in the summer...maybe.
  6. Its softer suspension is better by a mile (not driven a 10plate+ F so dont know how it compares to the later Fs). Beacuse it has the supercharger it feels rapid 0-60.. its might have similar 0-60 as the F, but it feels alot quicker. Sounded awesome too. Throw a £1000 at it and you get another 50bhp & 100torque (aprox) and exhaust work. I loved it and would buy one again. What bought me back to the F was maintainance cost and reliability tbh.
  7. Was just curious if any F owners have moved to/from a Jag XFR (2010 model) and if you have, what was your experience in owning one. I ask because i saw one in the flesh and it has really made me consider having one, it looked great. I did consider one before i had my first ISF, but then had my heart set on a F. So lets hear from the XFR owners pre or post F.
  8. Had a CLS55, then back to the ISF, had a couple of diesels in between the V8s.
  9. Welcome to the club bud.. i had a white one not so long ago and i tell you one thing, they always look stunning what ever the weather. It has a beautiful pearl finish. I love the white in a ISF... ok then... if i must show a picture..
  10. Lovely machine and welcome to the F club.
  11. Oh yeah LFA.. i'll be there for opening time. Cov is more central i agree...and closer to me 😁
  12. Got my car booked in on the 12th..lets see what they say.
  13. Not sure about the thickness of the lip on those JR24s. I do like the JR20s in grey i think they would really suit a Silver ISF... hmmm got me thinking.🤔
  14. Thanks @etienne1201 Yup film tinted.. went for a smoke tint. Really impressed with the outcome.. makes the front look meaner imo.
  15. Im lookimg for some 5 spokes... but not them. I prefer the vossen flat 5 look. But can find the correct offset in any 5 spoke.
  16. Defo get some pictures up im interested in that lip they sell.
  17. Yes it was a outside job, so it can be removed if the next person who buys it dont like it or if i decide to change to a different shade.
  18. Got the headlights tinted today, happy with the results, just waiting on the plastidip and will post some more pics soon.
  19. Im not a big fan of high owner car but if the car was well looked after and serviced on time it wouldn't stop me from buying. Sports car tend to have high owner tbf.
  20. 58 on 95k and still looking good. Only 2 previous owners too. Talking about owners would love to hear who has the highest owners.
  21. I managed to get my roof spoiler on friday and fitted it yesterday, also added some tints (50% all round) and bumper wrap in satin black). Next week im going to get the front headlights ever so slightly tinted and the front grill plastidip (not the bezel). I seen the ISF on the vossen wheels and i love it. I got a few things i want to do in the next few months: Alloy refurb (same colour), unless i find the right offset 5 spoke 19" (without spacers) Blue Calipers (like IS250 f sport) with Lexus F on them. APEXI TC Spacers and 25mm fromt drop has been put on the end of the list for now.
  22. So... i called Lexus bham today and firstly thanked them for completing the air bag recall then thanked them for cleaning the car inside out then explained how a 12mile round trip turned into a 25miles run (being very calm) The explaination: after the airbag(top dash) is fitted we check to see any rattles etc to make sure there are no issues and also if any warning light may appear. Me: is you test run up n down the road were GSF parts is? Lexus: yes thats correct it about a mile. Me: so how do i have 25 miles on my trip i reset on collection when the whole process is about 15 miles.. 10 miles is nothing but the fact is my car had been driven additionally to my approval..why? Why is my gauge showing just over a 1/4 when i gave you just over 1/2.. 20£ wont make me richer or put a dent in your dealership..but it a matter of principle. Lexus: sorry sir i will get to the bottom of this and call you back..i can assure you the car had not be abused..we have a GSF, a RCF packed as demos to drive and so on. Me: look i dont want petrol cost or anything of you all i want is a explaination by tomorrow. Lets see what they come back with.. i also need to take the sat nav out a readjust it as there is a gap on one side bigger then the other (happens when one side is tightened before the other). I'll update once i get a reply.
  23. So the car went in for the recall.. car collected from home and also dropped back off, looks nice and clean. The one thing which i will complain to Lexus Birmingham is that my car went in with just over half a tank of petrol and come back with just over a 1/4.. so one of two things have happened.. . . The 5 mile route took 3 times longer or the 5 mile route was completed in half the time.. either way im not impressed and want a explaination
  24. Probably more like my last white one..lol J was clearly in no mood to take pictures here. You can see the quad exhaust set up.
