Thought id give a update.. csr is booked in a coupe of week to get done. The reason for delay was because i was arguing a case for my Pan roof seals. They finally gave in but was i was not impressed when they asked me how loyal i was to Lexus.. because i bought the car only a few weeks ago they questioned it. Anyway i gave them a list of Lexues i owned and they agreed to replace the Pan roof under the Relax warranty. But has anyone had that; being questioned on loyalty? -

I agree.. i do believe it should be covered under the warranty.. but they said no i wont be. Its a shame because the old warranty type was so much better, even a small wiper washer was covered. Now i just feel like as you said it all wear and tear. Im waiting for the warranty to approve the head unit and then i will push for the waterpump. I asked a few local mechanics who all said the Lexus and Toyota which share the same Water pump as the RX all suffered with this issue. -

I had a look there that image is defo not the water pump on my car, but the number sounds right based on google search. i managed to take off the wheel and inner arch cover to see, but could not see. So. . i took the car in to Lexus for a stereo issue and they did a VSC and on there they said the water pump was leaking. When i checked properly today i could see small dried pink coolant, i cleaned it all up for now to monitor it in a weeks time or so. No water is leaking to the ground not is it lowering coolant level. @CT200h-TL lexus said the WP is not covered under Relax (wear and tear) and it would cost £421 supplied and fitted as it was fairly easy to replace. My car has done 85k. -
Hi, does anyone know what the part number is for a waterpump on a 2016 RX450h? Ive been told two different part numbers by two different part stores. And Lexus dont give part numbers anymore. First number given 16100-39615 or 30616 Second number given is 16100-39456. Any help would be much appreciated

I just noticed this on mine today.. 1st hard push from traffic light to get in next lane saw a massive puff of white smoke.. did get worried. Then did a 2nd push a quarter mile down the road and that was half the 1st puff.. 3rd was less then the 2nd. I have full Lexus history, just had the big 80k last month, no leaks, fluids all good. I think its been driven softly all its life. I will give it some welly within reason and report back soon.

Sticking Map button

Thanks.. i did try that and it was not effective at all. So i managed to do. If someone just wants the mouse pad/wrist support/infotainment section out. You do the following: 1. Take off both side leather trim. Pull towards yourself working from the armrest side. 2. Pull the wrist pad up from the armrest side sand it will all come up. Just unplug. Thes next is the cleaning. 3. Pull up the mouse pad to take iff and Unscrew 4 philps screws and take off the white module from under, lift slowly because there is a plug connected to a small motherboard. 4. unscrew the 4 motherboard screws and unplug a small plug. Now you have the the buttons off to clean properly -
Morning all, Been a while since getting back into a Lexus and so glad Im back in one too. Anyway i just bought a RX450H 2016 and the maps button and up/down arrows on the centre consol by the mouse pad is a somewhat sticky, it still works but need a bit of a press, now there might have been some drink spill behind it before i bought it i dont know. I wanted to take it out and give it a clean, but does anyone know if the wrist rest/mouse pad section will come off without taking off other panels etc? Also i might check out the climate seats buttons, so maybe some guidance on remive the whole top panel too. Thanks in advance.

Windscreen Washer Jet - Weak Stream
Ace8800 replied to matt8's topic in Lexus IS 300h / IS 250 / IS 200t Club
This might sound daft, but did you make sure the flow direction on the valve is the same direction you connected your pipe from the washer bottle... meaning when you connect the pipe coming from the washer to the vavle the arrow on the valve should be facing the opposite direction not towards the the washer bottle pipe. -
Speeds of the cars are a huge difference and you can feel it, especially 0-60.. it was a pleasant surprise. In all honesty my GS450H returned 34mpg with majority local driving and once a week a 40mile round trip on M6.. the IS300H gave me 39mpg with the same. Id buy a GS all day.. but the prices of GSs are ridiculous compared to a IS300H. Either way if you want space and power go for a GS, the seats are much better in GS too. Ive had both and never regretted either and im sure you wont too.

I bought a ISF of Lexus in Hull.. they drove to me to Birmingham to show me the car after a £500 deposit (refundable if i didn't like it). Anyway was told it will have new pads and disks and full service. Cant go wrong. . . Or can it. . ? A month later i hear a noise from the brakes, took it for Birmingham Lexus and they told me the pads are low and disks are new. I drove the car about 500miles in that month (family driving). No way could the pads get less then 70% IN 500MILES. Cut a long story short i had emails to back up the work they said they will do, which they refused initially they did. Cant believe they used old pads on new discs on a 400+ bhp car. I got some money back for the pads. So my experience with Lexus Hull... never going back. -

That was the little bugger. All good now and both jets working 💪. Took me under 5mins without taking off the cover under the bonnet, you just need to fold it a tad up and its right there. -

Misting GS450h Rear Shock Absorber (2012) F Sport
Ace8800 replied to Ace8800's topic in Brakes & Suspension
Thats a good shout.. i might just do that, give it a wipe and see how long it takes to come back. I checked the warranty work invoice, its just says replace OSR shock absorber and replace and NSF shock absorber. No item or part numbers. Lexus wont give me the part number (said its policy) Spoke to Nippon Autos (Derby)and they confirmed the part number is correct for my car. Also managed to get it from the net too. -
Hello all, So the dreaded time has come to consider a options for a rear Shock Absorber for my GS. I was thinking of replacing the suspension completely with some adjustable aftermarket one or a set of coil overs and single NSR SA alone. But not too sure if I want to kill the smoothness of the this beauty or should I go for the factory one. Anyway I decided to go with the factory ones. I believe as this was a failing part; Lexus updated this part and gave it a new part number. So I'm reaching out to the people who have this done privately to see if the new part number for this is actually 48530-80756 (30A02). I took a picture of the one from the other side that has been done in the past by Lexus under warranty and its shows as 4853-30A02 (G65W), so does the extra 80756 make a difference and what is the G65W? Thanks. oh and one final thing. . I checked the SA and its very light oil mist.. how long do you think it will last before completely failing?

Tbh i have read and been in two negotiations (for family and friends) with Toyota SE.. both times poor service and when i found out Lexus Birmingham had been taken over i was a little hesitant. Speaking from Personal experience i have have had no issues with them. (Edit: for now) But I know what you mean. -

Dont know were you are based.. but Birmingham Lexus for me have gone above and beyond all the time every time in my 15yrs off owning Lexus's (on and off) -
Wow, 25yrs and rust free... Probably one in a thousand that one.
-
I think i need to check mine and if there is a lot of rust i need to use the oil wax i bought for my Bluebird... i miss that car.
-
I had one i just sold with 102k on it.. was based all its life by Sheffield. When i came to sell it the new owner (now) said its got a fair bit of rust there - pointing out the chasis when the front bumper bar connects to. Was surprised to see this thinking this only happens to cars that live near coastal lines and/or Scotland cold weather or Ireland. Now reading this thread look like its a common issue on these. But then again im not suprised, because most jap carps suffer from rust about 7- 10yrs later.

@DerantThis 150k and 15yrs. . Is this for all models or just IS? I have GS450h (my2012), which i would be interested in if available.
