  1. Will almost certainly have an F-Sport model. No word on an ES-F but I presume Lexus would make it AWD if they went for it. Having said that, if they don't make an ES-F, it leaves the door open for the comeback of an IS-F for its next generation in 2020
  2. The vehicle looks good, however, its extremely expensive. Put it next to an RX, spec it up and you're looking at £74-80k! i.e. Tesla money. If it was significantly cheaper, it would have been a good proposition but I dont see it as that appealing. Obviously first year builds have all sold out now but the real test will be whether sales remain steady after the first 2 years An EV from Jag I probably wouldn't touch with a bargepole outside of warranty simply because they can't get the electrics right on their conventional vehicles, I suspect these will have quite a lot of issues. I took a look at a lot of the reviews and the packaging is crap. Its tiny inside, especially the rear and the boot is quite small too. Toyota is working hard on EVs - every model will have an electric powertrain by 2020 apparently but I dont know if that includes Lexus. The costs of these EVs is ridiculous to be honest. They keep saying batteries are coming down in price etc etc but I can't see any of that trickling down to the end user.
  3. Probably tyres rather than anything else - its not much louder than an IS is.
  4. Yep get mine done at the dealers. Don't know who they ship it to but they charge £72 Inc vat up to 18" and £90 above 28"
  5. Yep productipn of euro models will stop. Will probably still be available in US
  6. Vehicle has to be in Park I think before it lights up
  7. Thats how much I pay at Lexus. Or £27.49 to be exact
  8. Production of GS is to stop at the end of April I believe
  9. Mines a 4RX too. Its definitely quieter than the 3RX though which I had previously. Not huge amount but definitely quieter
  10. Thats a pretty close rendering - Ive seen the official pics recently. Lets just say that the front is pretty much bang on, especially the lower vents in the boomerang shape. Upper portion of the grill is less wide than the one in the render and the lower portion is a lot wider than it looks in the render too. Bonnet is a lt more curved - from the render it looks like an LS front end and bonnet but the ES will have a curved bonnet resulting in a smaller grill in terms of height. The rear is almost identical. Render doesn't have enough of a spindle shape in the render, the rear lights are a bit too straight. Also, Im pretty sure the shoulder line went through the door handles and lined it all up. From the render it looks like it goes through the rear handle but not the front which from memory doesn't look the same as the pics Ive seen. Oh and they missed out the panoramic sunroof in the render :P
  11. Dont know on the cost but I doubt it would be cheap - maybe £500-750 but thats just a guess. You could always try and get it repaired, if its not a good fix, swap it out later. It might not be a lost cause though - if they go regularly at that time, you might be able to track who it is, especially if its a gym
  12. Get something with some cut - not T-cut though, its too aggressive. Meguiars ultimate compound should be OK by hand, or Scratch X. Autoglym Paint Renovator - all sort of the same stuff in terms of end results. The plastic parts will need changing - those won't come out and a repair is usually very obvious as grain won't match perfectly. Smart repair may cover that - doesn't look like loads of damage to be honest but worth polishing first to see what the damage is really like. The car park, if they're decent should provide footage of the incident if it occurred. However, there's a chance that they have to blur everything out due to data protection including number plates of cars so its practically useless unless its somewhere you go often and track the car down yourself
  13. Yep it'll struggle with sharp bends as it effectively has tunnel vision. Otherwise it should be fine on normal bends. Next brilliant idea from myself - Radar cruise control which follows the steering wheel i.e. like adaptive headlights. Should really patent it now shouldn't I? Otherwise someone will nick it!
  14. Camskill are £4 cheaper per tyre if you haven't bought them yet
  15. I thought they called it "panoramic sunroof" - moonroof is a US term There are a few different beige/brown colours on the RX Premier. One is almost white, there's tan, dark brown and a mid beige. Seats and door cards should only be a different colour IMO, the rest of the interior needs to be black including carpets. Otherwise its just a pain to clean My interior is red though and i have the pan roof so it lights up the cabin relatively well compared to my previous RX which had black interior and no sunroof You shouldn't be getting any glare off the dashboard - they should be matt
  16. Its run by Arnold Clark, what did you expect?
  17. Goodyear Efficient Grip SUV are rated at 67dB
  18. You should be getting a service checklist, a hybrid healthcheck (if relevant) and visual healthcheck paper work
  19. the 4RX is like a tomb inside - no HUD and you'd struggle to tell you've maxed it out....
  20. Yep sounds like a faulty sensor. Typically its the 2 central ones. Quite rare mind but I doubt its anything else.
  21. Yep is normal. Just the motors. I prefer it tbh sounds like a transformer
  22. Go into display and find something that says "day mode" and ensure its off when headlights are on I.e at night
  23. Prices are generally stable - however, its not a sellers market Private sales of IS-F's seem to be minimal, and do stick around for a while before they go. Probably loads of timewasters or wanting ££££s off.
  24. I would say probably 10 years to be honest, more so if you're not using the AC and it dries the seals up so you get leaks I had my RX done after 5 years and it lost a negligible amount of refrigerant. Generally, I would make sure someone reputable does the job. Its quite easy to do but if you get air in the system it can make all sorts of groaning and creaking noises
  25. Not entirely sure but I would presume they can just swap them over entirely and reprogram. But, I would be prepared just in case to have them change all the sensors around.
