  1. Yes it is, I mentioned that in the post with the pic I posted. Dont know what people are on tbh - the Arteon is a brilliant car and so is the new A4, even in 190ps FWD 2.0l guise. Most people don't care about FWD vs RWD, if you do, get a proper sports coupe. There's no reason that Lexus can't drop the 3.5l Twin Turbo into the ES with an AWD setup and call it an ES-F
  2. 1) nobody cares 2) you don't know that AWD won't be available 3) it's going to be priced as an Arteon competitor so let it compete with the Arteon. Besides, the Arteon is a stunning car - to look at and to drive 4) nobody cares.... oh did I say that again? 5) At 30mph FWD vs RWD is irrelevant. Even at 70mph on modern vehicles it doesn't really matter
  3. Should come to the UK with LED headlights across all but the lowest spec Debut should be end of this month.
  4. And thats why things like this keep happening.....
  5. The bamboo wood trim isn't covered in anything though I don't think and I certainly wouldn't be trying Tcut or Brasso on it
  6. Agreed, if you want to do that. Personally, I would rather wait and buy a car with a huge discount 1 year later rather than paying the full price initially. I did the above with my 3RX and got a decent discount despite it being a new model, however, it was nowhere near the same amount as I would have got if buying 6 months - 1 year later No right or wrong answer of course.
  7. Good result If you're hellbent on finding this idiot, its worth visiting the gym in person and try it that way.
  8. The facelift version had S, SE, Advance, Luxury, Advance Plus, Sport, F-Sport and Premier trim levels. Not all were available at the same time though as you may have figured out. From memory, the Advance had most things apart from leather seats which the Luxury version came standard with. Sat nav has UK and Europe maps. The Advance comes with business nav which can only be updated by the dealer AFAIK. Its about £150-200 per update. You will know if its got the business nav as it has the rotary wheel controller. The premium nav is SD card based and is standard on the Premier model. You can pick these up for £60 from elsewhere. Radar cruise control - essentially you set a speed and the radar system will slow down or speed up according to the car in front - it will maintain a set distance from the car in front. It was only available as an option on the Premier and is a very rare one at that. The Premier has the Premium navigation, ML sound, LED headlights and full leather electric, heated and memory seats. It is worth it if you can find one in your budget.
  9. Very nice looking car Initially I wasn't too keen on the facelift front end but its grown on me. Going to have a hard time looking after it in comparison to the silver you have now though!
  10. Well its certainly not bad enough to deter from buying the car. I find it functional and fairly simple to use once you understand where everything is located. It could be a lot better though, and they have the means to do it - they just spend more time developing other stuff rather than the infotainment system from what I can tell.
  11. Can't remember my RX300 even auto-locking itself to be honest. Luckily on the newer cars, you can stop and just put it to park and it'll open the doors if its set like that through the central screen
  12. Prefer them chrome to be honest - like the rest of the chrome parts I dont get the whole fascination with de-chroming nowadays - certainly not on a dark car anyway
  13. Yes I certainly dont bother with it anymore. However, I use bixby on my phone and it works perfectly - every, single, time! Same with google assistant. I wish someone could just handover the whole infotainment system to google or something. I have no issues with it saying "Powered by android" on the screen when turning the vehicle on etc.
  14. Thats the issue - just didn't last at all. Its not like my car is heavily used but its used everyday neverthless. Just didn't last anywhere near as long as it stated and I didn't like the finish it left - was too flat. Plus it gets quite expensive compared to Autoallure Boost which is essentially the same thing and I find it better to use.
  15. If you like C2V3, you'll love AutoAllure Boost! Personally I thought C2V3 was over-rated tbh
  16. So you can rev it lol - but some cars dont rev past 4k anyway regardless of being in neutral or Park
  17. Glass polish is what you need. They have a cream like consistency. Barkeepers friend is very good just don't use it on the exterior driver and passenger windows otherwise will affect the coating.
  18. I made a guide a few years back in pdf form. Here's the thread The clay lube was an unnecessary purchase. Bilt hamber clay is designed to be used with water. Additionally, car shampoo in a spray bottle mixed with water would make a clay lube. UHD wax and BH cleanser polish, not really sure on. It's certainly not a tried combo but should be ok in theory. Personally would have gone for BH double speed wax instead, cheaper, longer durability and known compatibility. Furthermore, would argue that BH cleanser and Poorboys glaze are doing the same thing. In fact, BH cleanser is so good that poorboys glaze is somewhat useless. Bilberry wheel cleaner is OK but on darker finish wheels leaves white marks behind. Worth bearing in mind. Rinse wheel immediately don't let it sit. Clean seats once a year or if seat is shiny. Doesnt need anymore than that. Nothing needed on dash and plastics apart from damp cloth soaked in mild apc solution. I prefer not to dress the dash anymore as i prefer the original matt finish. Can get mass dressings but they look the same as factory fresh so why bother?
  19. That's not the hold though. It's hill start assist. Hill hold will keep the vehicle stood for an infinite amount of time until the driver presses the accelerator
  20. Some autos still roll back on a steep hill though The 3RX has a foot operated parking brake and therefore doesn't have the hill hold button.
  21. The 2018 LC and LS use 1 version of the software. The 2018 NX, IS and RC use another. The 2018 RX is on the older generation software.
  22. Doesnt work with my yorkshire accent Like ever...
  23. Fair enough, just what I had been told back in 2001 when I got my first automatic - never actually shifted to N though lol
  24. Whilst the extra checks make sense - the new classifications are utter horse crap What does dangerous even mean? Classic case of fixing something that isn't broken In my eyes, its either a pass or a fail, anything else doesn't really matter. Can see a lot of MOT testers just giving everything an Advisory or a Minor to allow people to take the car on the road unless its really bad.
