  1. Its not the glass cleaner but the cloth you use. MF will always leave smears. I use Nilco glass cleaner from B&Q with the home bargains glass cloths. No smears for me and no need to get out the chalky glass polish
  2. So, does anyone fancy an LS600h with 250k + miles on the clock with 22+ Lexus dealer stamps? Seems like its had almost £10k worth of servicing alone! Looks remarkably clean for those miles. https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201703193455971?sort=price-desc&radius=1500&advertising-location=at_cars&onesearchad=Used&onesearchad=Nearly New&onesearchad=New&postcode=wf177rs&minimum-mileage=200000&page=2
  3. The lights are definitely there on the Luxury. Only really obvious at night.
  4. A lot of new videos coming out of the ES. The vehicle certainly looks fantastic IMO
  5. Atleast they're trying to fix it though, its not going to be an immediate fix as the software is different for the UK compared to other countries like the US. Just ask for a courtesy vehicle in the mean time The IS suffered from this in 2013 when it came out. The updates sorted it eventually but did take up to 6 months
  6. Oh dear, shouldn't really have bonded though unless they were using something they shouldnt have! The PPF that comes on the IS rear doors, I literally heated a corner up and pulled it off with no issues after 2 years.
  7. Cant really do much about it unless going for PPF. Ceramic coatings help to a degree but itll still get through. Its just one of those things you live with and get a respray done every now and then.
  8. Nope they don't take much off at all off used cars unless they're priced too high to begin with Lexus Stockport - £850 off. Chester - £1k. Cheltenham £750. Edgeware Road - Nothing. Bradford - £500-1k. Leeds - £500-700 Of course, if you buy a car thats been sitting around for ages or not in demand, that all changes. They pretty much know that RX's in good spec, NX and IS will pretty much sell themselves
  9. Should get something in the post after a few days with the Lexus Roadside Assistance card in it You can then use the enclosed form or give them a ring to register the other person.
  10. Yep the 4RX uses petrol power to get up to speed but will go into EV even at 70mph. I turned the indicator off though because its annoying The 3RX wouldnt do that - about 30 was its limit
  11. Straight swap but you'll need to bumper and the grills of course.
  12. The triple LED headlights themselves don't swivel on any of the models. However, at low speed, all of them have lights in the corner of the foglamp unit which turn on when indicating or turning the steering wheel to light up the path. No issue at all though, the lights are pretty bright! My previous RX had the AVS but Ive not really missed it at all
  13. Yh I know - unlikely to make it to the UK and if it does, pretty likely to not work properly.
  14. Lexus dealers won't drop more than £500-1000 on a used car though. Doesnt matter what it is.
  15. No its all crap and can be found elsewhere much cheaper if you really want it. The supagard is genuinely rubbish, the kit costs about £30, they slap it on as quick as they can and have multiple clauses embedded in the literature so you can't claim after its gone around 5-6 weeks later.
  16. Luxury does have the premium nav and electric tailgate yes. Blind spot monitor is only on the Premier or the F-Sport with Premier Pack I would probably opt for an early 2017 model as the 67 plates will attract nearly £500 road tax. The pre-april 2017 are only £110
  17. Like what? They're official documents from Toyota UK. I highly doubt they're incorrect.
  18. Good luck with the car! Ive also had a bad experience with Lexus Edgeware Road when looking for the IS for my wife. Just didn't feel welcome at all so I spent my money at Lexus Chester instead 🙂
  19. So the 2019 ES is going to be coming with Amazon Alexa in the States. Shame, as they seem to get all the good stuff! Would be great if Lexus UK added something like this! Would put an end to the temperamental voice control we have now on our cars!
  20. Are you seriously going to trust the Approved Used website though? Apparently some of the 4th gen RX Premier's have air suspension etc. The toyota official documents say that there is only 25kg at most difference between the 3IS and 2IS for the 250.
  21. Well thats not true http://media.toyota.co.uk/wp-content/files_mf/1412672847141003M1ISTECHNICALSPECIFICATIONS.pdf http://media.toyota.co.uk/wp-content/files_mf/1319282850tech_spec.pdf 25kg at most.
  22. Sounds roughly normal on short trips and slow speeds. Remember that 26mpg in town is not bad at all for a 3.5l 2 tonne bohemoth. Few things to check would be tyre pressures, the tyres themselves as they can make a huge difference and try maintaining momentum everywhere. Also, if you live in a hilly area, its going to be lower than someones mpg who lives in a flat area. Hybrid driving styles may help. i.e. fast acceleration and then pulsing the throttle to maintain speed.
  23. Probably just something Ive missed when looking at them then! Most of them tend to be Silver and the chrome garnish blends in.
  24. The 2-in-1 rain X is OK if you get it on sale - think its about £2 in Asda sometimes. Works reasonably well but won't shoot beads off, will just make it easier to see. Standalone RainX is good for the price - ECP for less than £5 in their sales. 2 coats applied with a kitchen role and wiped off with a damp MF works best. Seems to last an age on side and rear windows, not so long on windscreen but its good for 1-2 months.
