  1. Make sure you test it with something like h2testw. Lots of fakes about which drop footage and get corrupted easily. I went for a Samsung 32gb one. Also, the sticky pads should be OK if cleaning the screen well beforehand and attaching the holder without the dashcam attached, allowing it to stick properly for a few hours.
  2. Yh I did the same a while back. Would have been better if they stuck it on the front bumper instead
  3. Works fine and doesn't miss footage especially not 5%. Perhaps an early version? They regularly come out with updates for the software on these. I wouldn't go for the ones that look the same but are cheaper - either spytec or viofo branded are the ones to get
  4. Uniroyal rainsport 3 would be my choice on these cars
  5. The same thing that happened to yours. Was fine when I looked at it when yours had done it but seems to have done exactly the same thing as yours did since then and in the same place. Who did you speak to at Bradford about the seat? Rear door outer seal sticky tape is a bit poor so will come off in the middle. Mines coming off from the top in hot weather but sticks back on in the cold. Checked the IS to make sure it wasn't wet inside and it's fine. Can't see any rust too.
  6. Many PPFs do last longer than 3 years. The obvious solution would be not to go to a car wash surely? What about the PPF that's fitted to the IS from factory, they last longer than 3 years as shown by cars which are now 5 years old
  7. Something else that has sprung to mind - The new ES300h drivetrain is estimated to have 44mpg combined in the US. The RX450h in the US has a combined mpg of 30. Now if we convert to UK mpg, that is about 52mpg for the ES and 36mpg for the RX. However, we all know that our system of working out claimed MPG is rubbish. So essentially the conversion factor for the RX450h is about 1.5 between US and UK claimed MPG figures (with both being converted to UK MPG first) By that logic, is one of the ES300h trim's going to have a claimed 78 MPG?!!
  8. Looks great to me. Toyota/Lexus did look at other manufacturers. They barely sold anything in the UK when they were trying to compete and essentially made what functional yet boring cars, similiar to the Germans and JLR group. They were known for making reliable, boring vehicles suitable for 50+ drivers. Then 2012 happened and they decided to go their own way, do their own things and the sales have gone up indicating that the public likes cutting edge design in addition to Luxury. Luxury is a given in any of the premium vehicles you mentioned (ML, Range Rover....maybe not Kia though). Cutting edge design which is new and refreshing is not. Not everyone wants to be part of the herd and buy an RR or a Merc ML and for one old customer they lose, they probably gain 2-3 new ones. I mean I owned a 2nd gen RX300, essentially the same car you have but without the hybrid system. It was smooth, refined and luxurious, but it certainly didn't make me turn around to look at it when walking away. Having said that, the 2nd gen RX looked pretty fresh when it came out - was extremely curvy and had a "coke bottle" shape which some simply hated.
  9. Its pretty expensive. About £1000+VAT if Im not mistaken for a front end doing.
  10. Get a quote from a smart repairer/bodyshop, make a copy and send it in with the letter It'd be utterly stupid to try and claim that off insurance if your excess is higher than the cost. If all else fails, just sort it out yourself
  11. Dont think so. Even the M-lites come with Michelin Pilots now I cant remember any M cars being on runflats at all
  12. Its a stupid idea to add run flats to any car to be honest. Makes a world of difference in both handling, heaviness of the steering and the ride comfort. People tend to remove them off their cars, Ive never heard of anyone actively wanting to put them on. In terms of the GS-F which handles and rides well, I wouldn't bother putting runflats on and making it crash about
  13. Lexus Bradford are great for warranty issues. Will need to go for my Airbag sensor replacement so will have the Driver's seat looked at and the rear door seals (known problem on the RX but mine was OK until now)
  14. As the above post, all fixed servicing now but the new intervals are a bit odd. Cant work out why 80k is more than a 40k but I havent really spent much time looking at it to be fair
  15. A grinding noise is normal providing its not long lasting and should only happen after a wash or if sitting outside after its rained.
  16. A119 for sure. Much cheaper and stealthier. Thinkware are having a laugh charging £200+ for that thing
  17. Should be OK for 3 weeks outside but I would drive it after that. Handbrake button near left side of steering wheel. Leave it in Auto and either press/pull to see if it comes off. Will revert back to Auto if the button is on when going for a drive afterwards
  18. I dont think there were any OEM ones for the 3RX but there are plenty aftermarket ones available in the UK like these: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Stainless-Steel-Side-Bars-With-Step-Pads-For-Lexus-Rx450-2009-2015-Exterior-Repl/391384008444?fits=Car+Make%3ALexus|Model%3ARX&hash=item5b204e06fc:g:Ww4AAOSwzgRWvfX0 Plenty of different ones to choose from fitting the 3RX from the seller so worth having a browse. If you look in the description of the ad, you can see the pics of it fitted. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Lexus-Rx450H-2009-2015-Raptor-Side-Steps-Exterior-Upgrade-Replace-Accessory-Part/392012616524?fits=Car+Make%3ALexus&hash=item5b45c5d34c:g:IdwAAOSwvSxaw4l5 The direct website link is here but I would cross check with ebay for pricing and buy off there if you fancy some nectar points and cashback https://www.direct4x4.co.uk/side-steps#/specFilters=2m!#-!1028&manFilters=3&pageSize=12&orderBy=0&pageNumber=1 Apparently quite easy to fit though as well. Just fits onto existing mounting points and dont need to drill anything so DIY would be possible
  19. Still needs servicing every year though? and I guess its inflation proof thats why I have it.
  20. Depends on what goes wrong I guess. But I bet nothing would on these anyway....
  21. Yep its quite a common thing actually. Don't really know why because it probably doesnt matter but I guess it may be to do with some reviewers just copying what others have said
  22. Tbh my mpg is stunted by my short trips and probably speed on motorways. Still manages 30-33mpg though so happy enough.
  23. Yep, never get the warranties but always renew the roadside assistance. Had to use it a few times too, fortunately not in our cars though!
  24. It was the mileage and the condition that's impressed me. Looks like it's genuinely had no expense spared in comparison to the no expense spared apart from the bodywork, tyres, wheels, servicing and pretty much everything else
