The numbers should be the same, vehicle for vehicle more or less with the same source. I do recall the IS loaners Ive had over the years and there isnt much difference between the 8 speaker in the IS with Premium navigation and the ML sound system and its certainly not worth the extra cash.

Still doesnt sound right though. The standard system in the IS with Premium nav only needs to be at 10 for normal listening. 20+ would be borderline torture. However, I remember my 3RX with ML also needed to be much higher than the IS to be at the same volume. The new RX is more at around IS levels.

You might find it easier to get something like the Carista app and OBD cable. Then you can change all the settings yourself via smartphone

Apparently quite easy. Lexus dealers can do this for you. They stick the original camera on and have it feeding through the nav system. Or you can also go aftermarket, though you wont get turning guidelines

Dealer will usually do it for free. Literally a 5 minute job. It was disabled as plenty of owners in the past found their vehicles drenched after sitting on the key or pressing it accidentally.

Spec wise, there isnt much in it really as the F Sport has bigger alloys and stiffer suspension along with the exterior and interior treatment. Essentially I chose the F Sport as I prefer the seats, the looks and the alloys. Both trims handle well but the F Sport is better. Personally I don't find the ride stiff at all, certainly nowhere near German hard. It does get caught out with potholes though and will thump if you land in one. As for advise, generally just normal used car advice. These things don't have any common issues. Main things would be leather wear on Luxury models, check servicing as they should be 1 year/10k miles or 1 year/12k miles. Apart from that, nothing stands out.

Well thats not right anyway. At 25, the music in the IS would be borderline ear piercing in our IS. The main things to remember - play with equaliser on all sources as they are individual to each one. Additionally, if you're listening to radio, its going to sound bad whether you have ML or not. However, seriously doubt a small change in oil grade would make a huge difference.

I don't think customisation was available on older RXs. I can't remember it being available before 2012 anyway from the back screen. You'll need something like Carista to do it. As for creaking suspension, I've had this on all my RXs. It only seems to affect the rear suspension over sharp, large bumps and essentially is something you just have to live with. I did get it checked out but there was nothing wrong with the shocks or suspension whatsoeve

Why would you find it frustrating? The damper and throttle response is literally a knob that you turn and the cruise control is a simple 2 step process with the stalk. The 8 series is nowhere near as exciting as the concept was. BMW prices have recently gone crazy too

All new cars will be electrified by 2040. I would presume that all cars with be electric before that around 2035 and would expect petrol and diesel passenger vehicles to be banned around 2045. My son is 22 and he still talks about cars. It's the generation of top gear and grand tour. Interest in cars is always going to exist but I think it'll be diminished. I don't know many kids who are into Tesla lol

The car is driveable so should only be without it for 5 days roughly. They're the standard F Sport wheels but were refurbed by the dealer before bought. They're slightly darker than original F Sport wheels. I think they're Toyota Phantom Grey.

You need an invoice from when the car was bought with the owners name on it.

Worth clarifying what you actually get though. At my dealer I get half price MOT with standard service plans and other benefits. It depends whether yours give you these and whether it's worth the price difference because sometimes the difference is not much between them. I'm just waiting for the essential care service prices for the IS300H to come through and then will probably go for that providing I'm happy with what I get
