  1. I think they use volume under load cover which is a bit stupid because there's always more space above the load cover if you remove it
  2. Why? Boot is plenty big enough. It's bigger than CTs anyway
  3. Looks great in my opinion https://lexusenthusiast.com/2018/07/13/photos-the-lexus-ux-f-sport-at-goodwood-festival-of-speed/
  4. Put some silicone lubricant cheap stuff from Halfords for £3. Works the same as Gummi pflege which is the same thing
  5. Must have some condensation in the camera due to the seal failing probably
  6. The door seals is quite common and known issue. I had mine changed after 2 years. The new ones have black tape which is alot stronger I'm yet to hear of any sunroof problems. Mine is fine. Did the memory issue start after airbag sensor replacement? Mine did and they recalibrated it. I'm having the F Sport seat issue which Chris Fletcher had. Been told to keep an eye on it and see if it develops.
  7. The sunroof won't close if there's debris in the runners if that's what they meant? Or if they thought you meant it was leaking due to clogged drainage due to dirt.
  8. Not sure if they would do it automatically if there is no auto lock. I can't imagine that Lexus would be stupid enough not to have it unlock
  9. All speculations. For a start it won't have artificial leather. Even the IS doesn't unless going for tahara trim which is half artificial leather. It will be cheaper than the GS.
  10. Because SUVs sell more than Estates. In a limited market like the UK theyd sell a handful at most. Additionally wagons aren't massive in the US which is the primary market
  11. No point comparing it as above. Spec, trim levels and pricing will be different in the UK. 50l tank providing 45mpg+ combined is still a very reasonable 500miles of range if not more as we don't know official mpg yet Highly likely only the bottom spec of ES will come with artificial leather in the UK
  12. Mine literally sounds no different to my 3RX which had no sound generator. Probably quieter. Besides, it's a V6 can't say I'm complaining about its noise
  13. I always found that quite odd. My RX is an F Sport. It's not "noisier" than the standard one and certainly no louder than an NX. It has exactly the same engine and tyres as a Luxury, just stiffer suspension and different bodywork. I prefer the ride on the F Sport, firm but not uncomfortable and i find it's much better on roundabouts and high speed stability
  14. Emissions aren't going to be cleaner without a DPF no matter what they say The new MOT check looks for any tampering of the DPF as well. Weld lines around that area will fail I don't think Lexus need to hang their heads in shame at all. It's the buyers wanting diesels. It's not just a Lexus issue, it's across all manufacturers and simply down to consumers buying things without any research or idea how modern diesels work
  15. The choices are limited simply because most of them at dealers right now will be demo vehicles. These are usually in certain colour combos e.g. white/red, red/black, red/tan, yellow/black Be careful with the 21" wheels. They're chrome and I believe they're quite expensive to get sorted out if you hit a kerb. I would also be aware that Lexus don't tend to use a lot of chrome wheels in the UK so would be concerned about the long term durability, especially pitting etc You also need to be aware that whilst Sonic Red is a great colour, any dings/prangs and you'll have an expensive bill on your hands. The colour is very difficult to match and I know of 2 vehicles which have been written off as a result of the cost of colour matching a bumper! All LCs in the UK have Run-flat tyres. There is more choice with the 20" wheels in terms of tyres. Currently, for the 21", there are only pirelli and Bridgestone widely available. Both sizes are roughly around £1000-1500 for 4 tyres You have to be aware that the Nissan GTR is very stiffly sprung to begin with. The LC is designed with run flats in mind and the suspension has been tuned to accommodate this. It is firm, but nowhere near as hard as a GTR. Remember that these cars are not cheap to run. Cheaper than some rivals yes, but servicing needs doing 1 year/10k miles at nearly £400 or £600. Later services are more expensive. I also doubt you would get anything significant in terms of discounts on these. Depreciation is yet to be seen but in 1 year, there are some available currently which have lost about £16k. The LC always reminds me of an Aston Martin when driven. Additionally - red with black https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201805196672385?model=LC 500&advertising-location=at_cars&onesearchad=Used&onesearchad=Nearly New&onesearchad=New&sort=price-asc&make=LEXUS&postcode=wf177rs&radius=1500&page=1
  16. If its worked, leave it be. Essentially, it sounds like the brake discs had a lip on them and had worn unevenly. The 2 main cures are to replace or skim the discs. It sounds like they replaced the fronts because they had already worn a bit and it was probably easier to replace than to skim. Skimming requires a certain amount of disc thickness. Hybrids don't use their brakes as much - they use regen most of the time. Hence, sometimes, you need to give the vehicle an emergency stop from 60+mph, enough to set the ABS off.
  17. DPF can't be removed any longer. Before, you could remove it and they only did a visual check which was pretty poor If you remove a DPF now, you'll get an instant "Major" which is essentially a failed MOT. They will also check emissions which will be increased if the DPF is removed and again, will cause a Fail. Visible smoke will also cause a fail. Just get an IS250 - great car to drive, and a much better engine than the 2.2l diesel
  18. There are better products out there which can be bought online. ECP also do meguiars and have sales on often. CP4L also do them with cheaper prices than ECP. I've used almost everything from Meguiars and tbh, bar the endurance gel, everything else is mediocre. You pay for the label.
  19. Very nice. Looks like Lexus Stockport. One of the better dealerships out there No point going through the manual. It's all obvious if you've driven a Lexus before, which you have!
  20. Yep. And the issue is that there are better products than what Halfords stock. Besides who goes and buys 3 products all at once. I certainly dont. I just buy the ones I need at the time the other product run outs Just a cheeky way of getting you to buy more at their stupidly inflated prices
  21. Yep. Uses a 1.8l hybrid setup. Also about 300+kg lighter
  22. I do like the orange on a black RC-F though!
  23. I've got it - I think its the matt black finish that doesn't look right to me. Would probably have opted for gloss black or titanium to break it up a bit. Yellow calipers for me look odd on the RC-F - I was expecting orange!
  24. Hmm sitting in the fence with this one.... Not to my tastes but heyho. I presume you went with the yellow calipers to match the cheese that you love?
  25. Most likely but not sure yet. Wont be true AWD, more FWD with RWD assistance like the other SUVs in the range
