  1. The best way to buy a car today in the spec you want (this is very important and plays a massive role), is usually to use a comparison/broker site like Carwow or Broadspeed, take up the finance option as they usually tend to have freebies or deposit contributions adding to the total discount, and then paying the whole lot off. VW seem to actively encourage this practice. Otherwise, if you're not bothered by the spec or which car you want to drive, there are some cracking deals to be had on PCP. Think I saw a very well specced brand new Volvo V90 for £200 a month and a low deposit for 24 months. Was a steal tbh
  2. Depends what you mean by town driving and what your distances will be. My wife does mainly town driving, she gets about 33mpg max in a lot of stop start traffic
  3. It might be to do with the snow on the actual road. If it cant see the lines it won't work. I honestly wouldn't bother with using EV. The car will go into EV on its own if the conditions are right so there's no point forcing it to stay in EV
  4. The camera is located just on the windscreen behind rear view mirror. I believe it's needed to see the lines on the road. Issue being that if there's heavy snowfall and of can't see anything then it'll disable the system
  5. The UX300e has been trademarked so I suspect it'll be the first Lexus EV coming next year
  6. Depends on who you take it to tbh. But I would imagine somewhere around £250-350 not including the light.
  7. This was our car after RRG Bodyshop repaired it.
  8. They've had you on there. RRG Bolton bodyshop is Lexus Approved and is on Lexus Bolton site.
  9. Maybe but ours is a early 63 plate when discounts were only £1k off list if anything.
  10. Auxilis is just an accident management company. The bodyshops are the ones who seem like cowboys. You could have just gone to your own bodyshop than deal with auxilis
  11. Yes but Lexus finance deals have always been like that, no idea why. On a £60k RX they expected it to be worth £25k in 3 years time. I highly doubt it. Also, just to add, we bought our IS300h F-Sport with premium nav and leather for £23k with 10k miles on at 2 years old. Its now nearly 6 years old and I have been offered a trade in price of £15k. List price was £37k so it lost £14k in 2 years and then decided to steady itself. On the other hand, we just bought my son a 2015 Merc C180 AMG Sport with the Premium Plus pack for £13k from a main dealer. It has 57k on the clock and cost £34k when new. Just looking at that it shows that the IS has better residuals as even the early ones with 100k miles at independent dealers are like £14-15k
  12. They're about £250 from a main dealer
  13. Colin has summarised 1 and 2 well. In terms of 3, the wipers sometimes do randomly go off in certain conditions but its not something that should happen often. Reduce sensitivity in that case just to see. I find it mostly wipes sporadically when there's unusual lighting outdoors.
  14. It does clean the injectors out and does make a difference in a car used locally Should point out that my son's car scraped the emission test for petrols on its MOT last year. This year I put in redex a week before so it had plenty of time to work and it sailed right through
  15. Sorry just been really busy recently but yes the car had injector 1 replaced and it's all fine now. Must have just been a dodgy injector.
  16. Scratches I presume
  17. Lexus Hull I see, was there last week and bought a Mercedes - lovely RC-F in red they have and they had an LC in structural blue thatd just been sold
  18. Should be okay. Insurance companies are all as bad as each other If you're worried try and ring them, see how they respond
  19. Ooohhhh I forgot to update. I got the excess back from the third party insurance company within 2 weeks so it's all sorted. Third party is best yes. They sorted out the claiming back of excess as quickly as they could because they knew I didn't have any extortionate hire car fees
  20. Or condition of the car itself? and spec level?
  21. They're always lukewarm about anything Lexus. Fact of the matter is though that Ive already seen 2 ES300h's on the road and they look absolutely stunning. Thats more than the number of GS' ive seen in 6 months!
  22. There's a button In the general settings which says "auto screen change" or something Needs to be off for the screen to stay the same
  23. Yep will do. Hopefully should sort it all
  24. More info here https://lexusenthusiast.com/2019/01/14/introducing-the-lexus-rc-f-track-edition-updated-2020-rc-f-coupe/ Says power is increased but I wonder if Europe will get the filter in the exhaust which reduces power?
  25. So the car went in today. Parts are being replaced under warranty on 24th but I don't know which ones. Will update further when I have more details
