  1. If you bought the services separately, it would total £955. So £800 for 3 years is not bad at all
  2. Dont think any Lexus models have a heated windscreen? The ones from VAG are decent to be fair, all others ones really annoy me due to the wires. What do you "really" want the 360 camera for? I suspect its useful on a low coupe like an LC but my RX doesn't have it and its not exactly a struggle to park with a reverse camera, sensors and a few mirrors
  3. In that case, maybe an IS or NX would make more sense? Bear in mind the NX is almost as big as the third gen RX?
  4. Think it may be to do with the fact its hauling 2 tonnes around? Thats why I was thinking diesel estate if you need the space at that mileage. 40-50mpg would be quite cost effective I would think?
  5. Adrian Flux are a disgusting company in my experience. To be perfectly honest, I don't even know why Lexus Owners Club allow them to be on here. Maybe they should set up something with Chris Knott instead
  6. An owner removed all of it before using a window cleaner and cloth. Then had a piece of antiglare laser cut to dimensions and stuck it on. Essentially said it made little difference so could have got away with just removing it and leaving it be
  7. Can't get cream leather on the F Sport model. It's either red or black. Don't really think red goes with the blue very well though With regard to the screen. The Matt finish being lost is due to using cleaners on it. It removes the antiglare coating.
  8. https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201905318538391?advertising-location=at_cars&postcode=wf177rs&model=IS 300&sort=price-asc&page=1&aggregatedTrim=F Sport&make=LEXUS&onesearchad=New&onesearchad=Nearly New&onesearchad=Used For the sake of a few £££ though much less mileage, approve used and not a ricer lol
  9. Standard sat nav is controlled using a rotary controller. The Premium satnav, which was an option in the F-Sport and Standard in the Premier was controlled using the remote touch device (joystick) and it also came with 2 additional speakers - better sound quality. Its a party piece and looks better IMO
  10. F-Sport is essentially an appearance/handling package so comes with different bumpers and wheels. Also has sport seats inside. Memory seats on the F-Sport are part of the Leather package. Essentially, if the F-Sport vehicle you look at has full leather seats, its got memory. The F-Sport also does not come with Blind spot monitor (not even an option) or Mark levinson stereo unless optioned on. The F-Sport also has a digital dash with a moving inner ring. The suspension is slightly stiffer but is by no means harsh. Full leather seats are available on the Luxury model too, not sure whether they come with memory seats or not
  11. Unlikely to be due to supaguard as even waxing your vehicle would then cause a similiar issue. Most likely to be faulty sensors. I remember a few reports of the same thing happening on some early 3RXs
  12. Right okay. So the answer to your original question is yes, Lexus can provide extended warranty on vehicles up to 140k and 10 years. The 2 for 1 offer essentially means you'd have to get 2 years to make it 3 if buying an approved used vehicle. If buying a private/independent dealer vehicle you'd have to go for either 2 years or 4 years with that offer. With the extended warranty yes, servicing is Lexus only. If you're covering 40-50k a year you're going to need 4-5 services on the mileage scheme a year probably at a cost of roughly £2-3k. Another thing to bear in mind. I suspect the vehicle will be on 200k plus when being sold and a 2011 Lexus RX hybrid with high miles is extremely difficult to sell - essentially will be worth £5-10k at most in 3 years time
  13. The thing is, you're question is regarding an extended warranty. Surely if you're considering an extended warranty on one of the most reliable brands available, you could just get a cheaper diesel estate of the same year and slap an extended warranty on that which would probably work out a lot cheaper than getting a 450h that does like 30mpg at the best of times realistically speaking. In either case, surely if you're getting a warranty it doesn't make a difference whether the car is reliable or not?
  14. Well I mean the DPF would be fine lol thats the main issue with diesels. EGR is present on petrols too. Injectors shouldn't be an issue and turbos should be fine too really. Having said that, you won't get much better in a 450h on the motorway. I only average about 30mpg most of the time
  15. Ofc does depend on what car it is too. I have greater faith in the RX as the mechanical parts are bomb proof and been going on since 2009 relatively unchanged. The IS300h leaves more of a doubt as its a more recent setup, although still reliable. At that mileage, Id probably be going for a diesel anyway though with a longer service interval
  16. Just received confirmation earlier this week from my dealer that Android Auto and Apple Carplay will be available on all Lexus from now on as the EU licensing has been sorted out. They are currently working to try and make this available to older cars via software update too so hopefully it'll surface
  17. I should probably add Ive been running a number of Lexus vehicles outside of the warranty period. My 05 RX I had for 8 years with no issues, the 12 RX for 5 years, again no issues out of warranty, my wife's IS300h is 6 years old, no issues as of yet and finally my current RX's warranty ran out in January and I didn't bother renewing. As you can probably guess, I don't think the warranty is worth it!
  18. Sounds like there might be a faulty sensor which usually throws up these kind of messages.
  19. Looks good that does. is it a separate difuser or stuck on to the factory one?
  20. Unfortunately the CT200h is quite harsh riding in the grand scheme of things Possibly the best way to go forward is smaller wheels, more sidewall
  21. 1) With regards to towbars, there are plenty of options out there for your particular vehicle as it is a 3rd gen RX. The 4th gen RX has issues with towbar availability. A quick google search should bring up plenty of options. 2) The 3rd gen RX doesn't suffer from battery issues like the 2nd Gen. Mine never had an issue in 5 years of ownership leaving it to stand for 3-4 weeks. Best thing to do is invest in a trickle charger just to be safe. 3) Relatively speaking, no they are not harsh on tyres. 26-30k on a set is achievable. Obviously thats for the fronts, the rears should last longer. Michelin Latitude Tour HP were very good on this vehicle. 4) I would leave the vehicle to its own devices. Contrary to what you would think though, keeping momentum, accelerating hard to a set speed and then coasting is the best way to achieve good economy.
  22. You pay the excess initially and then claim it back from the third party insurance company 9 times out of 10, they pay up almost immediately as it means they've settled - usually at a much reduced cost to them compared to if you went through a company like Auxilis
  23. The NX is screaming for something like the 450h setup to be put inside. I suspect they won't do it simply down to the fact it'd stop people moving up to the RX. The 200t was a good engine in the NX, quite punchy, however, we live in a day and age where economy seems to prevail above everything else and therefore these didn't sell very well so this option was removed. Ive never found the infotainment that bad on Lexus - seems to be similiar to Merc to be honest. Having said that the OP is comparing a 4 year old design to a Brand new BMW, seems a bit far fetched. The infotainment system in the son's 2015 C class is of similiar frustration
  24. The 200t engine is pretty good in the 4RX tbh. Much better than the 201hp 3.0l in the RX300 was anyway. It has similiar torque to the RX350 in the states, and a much lighter front end.
  25. You shouldn't need to be topping up - Ive never had to on any Lexus. Or actually, any car unless its eating through it or losing it from somewhere
