  1. I tried both to no avail. The problem is, the screen is just not turning on. The usb is off too. It sounds like a fuse issue but the radio fuse is fine
  2. So I left the car for an hour with everything disconnected. Started it in accessory mode as said above and still no difference. The screen just doesnt turn on at all which is really odd. Checked the radio fuse and its fine as well.
  3. So would 40 mins not be enough? I'll check the radio fuse tomorrow and see if that's okay. Failing that I'll leave it for 2 hours or so. That should be plenty surely? I wonder if there's a lot of capacitors in the car that are holding energy for ages. I suppose I'll find out tomorrow.
  4. That's the one I read. Bit weird how the memory seats and everything like that is kept though. Anyone know why that is?
  5. Might give it another go tomorrow and wait longer for everything to start up in case it takes ages The car didnt lose any memory settings whatsoever so Im sure something must be powering it still
  6. OK so I left everything unattached for 40 minutes. I attached the positive terminal, then the negative terminal and put the fuse back in. Started the car in accessory mode and pressed the volume button to turn the screen on but nothing! No difference. Turned the car on and again, and nope, its just not turning on. Completely black, reverse camera doesnt turn on etc the whole screen is just black
  7. The harrier is too big - its more RX size The new NX is heavily based on the RAV4 for sure but it won't look anything like it. This new NX is likely to come with the plug in hybrid option - the 302hp version from the RAV4 too. Looks like its slightly bigger than the outgoing model but wont be too far off the current NX size.
  8. The service plans are good as the prices tend to go up every year and you beat inflation with the plan I havent bought an extended warranty for any Lexus yet and Ive had a few - no issues to date.
  9. I think the RX450h is more refined and more powerful. The difference in fuel economy is negligible. The size difference between the 3RX and the NX is small too. It depends on whether you prefer a more modern vehicle or not
  10. Ive disconnected the battery for about 30 minutes as we speak. I've read online apparently you have to start the vehicle in accessory mode first, then press the volume knob to load the navigation on the 3IS. After that you can start it and it works OK. Will give it a go in the next few minutes - just seems a bit unusual after a battery change.
  11. Dont look too bad those 🤣
  12. Hi guys, So I ordered the IS300h 12v battery from Lexus parts direct Arrived today and fitted. Everything is working apart from the sat nav screen. Just wont switch on at all. Everything else seems to work including the AC an everything is lit up Any ideas?
  13. Chosen the Registration plate for the UX yesterday - I amused myself because Ive convinced myself it says O-zone xx70ZNE I mean itll be coming off to make way for the private number plate anyway so I wasnt too fussed. I need to get more information from the salesman about the Lexus charging point - for the time being Ill just use the 3 pin socket or a supermarket charger as its a second car Looking into ceramic coatings and leather coatings as well now that its nearly on the way, although I probably wont get to do this until atleast easter time I think Ill probably be selling the IS300h privately when the time comes. Its only done 19k miles and had 7 Lexus dealer services so would make a bargain for someone.
  14. So an update - Car will land in the UK on 10th February 2021. I originally ordered from Lexus Bradford but they have since closed permanently. So its being shifted to Stockport as its part of the same group. Not a problem as Ive dealt with them before and it was a great experience. I have looked at the Model 3 already, as most of you may know. I know it has a huge following but apart from the turn of speed and the technology, its utter garbage. The build quality is honestly better on an early Jaguar XE - Id know - I have one! Additionally, as the car is being kept for atleast 5-7 years, Id rather go with Lexus on this one. Personally I prefer build quality over technology and speed, mind you the UXe isnt exactly slow. Its also not as common as a model 3 - its basically the new 3 series round my end.
  15. Ive always thought rotating tyres was an antiquated method nowadays. Surely its better to have fresh tread on one axle and slightly less on the other than having poor tread on all 4?
  16. My son had constant issues with his C class pan roof. Seemed to forget the memory points for the blinds every cold day. And then would need a reset as the whole system would refuse to operate. In and out of the dealership 4 times before he sold it. I suppose but its not exactly a premium vehicle and the interior quality will show that up, as will refinement etc.
  17. Quite excited - a first for her anyway! Especially because its electric, shes never driven one before. I have so I know she'll love it This is the one....... Bit out there, I know, but she wanted something different. I suppose thats one of the reasons we drive Lexus isn't it? Wouldnt be surprised if its the only UX300e in the country in this spec.
  18. Haha it's not here yet! March delivery on these. I'll post a photo of the car on the configurator when I get chance to rebuild it on there!
  19. So, the decision has been made! Blazing Carnelian with Rich Cream Interior - certainly not a car thats going to blend in! Now just to decide on the wheels lol
  20. I've never had an issue with Lexus alloys which are painted. Diamond cut and polished wheels are always going to corrode. It's just a matter of time
  21. I tend to use more specialist products rather than off the shelf kind of stuff that you get from Halfords and the like. Reason being, in most cases, the detailing stuff is cheaper to buy as they're not overly commercialised. Ive been using Detailed Online products recently and Carchem, who Ive used for ages. Carchem Shampoo is the most economical ive used with no added waxes/gloss enhancers so goes well on anything. Detailed online for almost everything else. In the winter months I tend to grab the nano sealant which you can simply spray on a wet car and rinse off leaving protection behind For polish, honestly depends what Im doing but generally go for the Sonax EX-04-06 for machine polishing, or sometimes Britemax Black Max. For hand polishing Ive always resorted to Autoglym SRP Protection wise, Bilt Hamber Double Speed wax is extremely difficult to beat.
  22. Not too sure on this as Ive always bought outright! I would suspect you may be able to do it on HP as well because its the full value thats taken into account anyway
  23. Going into Lexus Bradford tomorrow to pick the colour/spec of the vehicle. Torn between blazing carnelian, khaki green or black! Wife is adamant she doesnt want another white one
  24. With all the hassle of polished wheels.... Id probably be tempted to get them all diamond cut in a similiar pattern - they probably wouldn't look that different!
  25. I'm sorry, but what you've written is complete rubbish. The weight distribution is 50:50 on an IS300h. Additionally tyre wear is user dependent and not excessive. Poor grip on the rear? The vehicle is completely stable and its extremely difficult to get the rear end out on it. Don't really know what you mean by poor grip when it clearly has good grip.
