  1. So the radio unit is dead - costs £3k to replace apparently as it is an order item Ive been offered the ML unit for £582 so I dont know whether to just take a chance and buy it or not
  2. It's the premium nav with 8 speakers and the remote touch interface
  3. I did try them. Unfortunately they don't have a 2013-14 radio as the finish changed in 2015 to Matt plastic Any idea if the ML radio would work?
  4. Apparently a dead radio. Not sure how it happened. A surge in power from changing the battery wouldnt cause that as the fuses are all OK. Havent heard anything back yet but I suspect the cost to replace is going to be MEGA Having said that, there is a unit from a 2014 car on ebay. The only problem is, its a Mark Levinson unit so I dont know whether it would work
  5. Just seems awfully expensive compared to something like a VIOFO a119 which is a fantastic camera in its own right. The fuse box appears to be in a good location too so I can definitely do it myself. After all, Ive hardwired one into all my sons cars so far
  6. Hi Martin, which fuse did you tap into? I'm receiving the UX in March and would like to do this also!
  7. Not yet. Its going into Lexus Stockport on Tuesday because its the only date that would work with my work schedule Either way, it shouldnt be doing this apparently after a battery swap. Should just start straight up and load the navigation system which our car hasnt. Its a 63 plate with only 19k miles on the clock with 7 Lexus dealer services. Not under warranty as nothing has ever gone wrong with it so I think if they're saying the radio is dead im going to be pushing for a strong goodwill gesture. Definitely helps that Ive been a customer for 15 years now, still have an RX and the UX300e is being delivered on March 1st!
  8. Cure is winter tyres. Most rwd cars or cars with long wheelbase do this
  9. The UX300e service prices are out £130 for the minors and £260 for all the majors apart from 100k which is slightly more. Doesnt seem too bad in comparison to usual Lexus prices.
  10. I have a friend in the US who works heavily for Lexus. A lot of my information comes from him. Ive seen the photos for the new NX and it does look quite nice in my opinion. Yes, nothing hugely radical but an evolution of the current design. The interior though...... 😍
  11. That rendering is rubbish though It's essentially different Lexus models mish-mashed together Oh btw it doesn't look like that I've seen the official photos 😉
  12. That is correct. Cant access the full functionality just yet as it needs an EV hooked up to it first. But so far I can change the charging speed/ consumption. Has an option for fast, eco or eco+. Fast basically draws power from the grid if needed, eco balances the two and eco+ doesnt charge at all until you're not using much in the home. With mine, it wont measure the consumption of the home because its hooked up to the standalone consumer box that in the garage. So the only thing it'll really measure is consumption from the garage doors, switches and lighting
  13. Yes thats correct. If you have any spare fuses on the consumer unit theyll just use that, otherwise they can add another unit onto it. Mine's been sorted out now. The engineer came to straighten it up and fit the router hub which links to the charger as it hadnt arrived when he came before. Just waiting for the car now!
  14. The car is supplied with a plug charger but it's quite slow as mentioned by Colin taking around 19-22 hours. Mine is a 7kw charger so will take 8 hours from empty to full which I think is fine. The Zappi was £800 fitted and Lexus Stockport basically managed everything. Went for the untethered unit as the car comes with a type 2 connector anyway It was about £1000+ fitted from other retailers
  15. Got the charger fitted today. So this one was recommended to me by the dealer and they have a contractor come and fit it. Was £800 in total after government grant of £350 The best deal for this I could find on the internet was £1091 fitted after the grant.
  16. I think that's not true. You cant claim the £3k grant on cars costing over £50k OTR
  17. The pre crash system is very rare on these. The ML is worth having. It does sound better than the normal stereo. If you're going to buy an extended warranty, don't worry about the air suspension. If not then leave it out
  18. So a few more updates Ive asked the Lexus dealer to postpone until March 1st so I can get it on the 21 plate. Additionally, Ive been looking for insurance on the UX300e. Its bloody cheaper than the IS300h at £455 🤣🤣🤣 No idea how they work that out lol
  19. I don't think it's the screen that's the issue. Its not turning on because of the radio unit. So I suspect the radio has gone.
  20. Nope. its still black - I suspect the radio is dead. Took it into Bradford who checked it out but said they dont have the computer to do the job as they've basically closed Lexus Bradford down and are now just a Toyota dealer with a Lexus bit in the corner. They checked all the fuses though and all are intact. So, I need to get in contact with Lexus Stockport or Bolton instead.
  21. I suspect it literally is just to feed the company car drivers The majority of private buyers will still opt for the 300h.
  22. I've never been keen on lexus Leeds. I've always used Lexus Bradford but they've closed so having to use Toyota Bradford instead but they employ lexus staff
  23. Did try that actually but nothing changed. Will take a look at that ecu-acc fuse tomorrow hopefully and see if it's that
  24. Possibly could be. If the fuse doesnt work Im out of options and will have to get it checked over at Lexus - or toyota now that Lexus bradford have closed
  25. Thanks, Ill take a look at that one too. There are a lot of posts online talking about a dud radio unit. The problem is, the car was fine before the battery change with no odd symptoms, so how could a dud radio unit be to blame?
