  1. Wouldnt bother with wax anymore Just get it ceramic coated
  2. Who says they're dropping the V6? Theres an RX500h coming....
  3. Only cost me £319 to insure it. With 2 claims on file as well.
  4. Cant say ive noticed any significant decrease in the UXe range despite colder weather. Its gone down by 10 miles at most. We have everything running too
  5. Yep they do as long as they're spaced correctly
  6. The dealer if you go in with a car that's working and you get a car back thats not working - its up to them to sort it out
  7. I dont think there ever will be a time when its online only Its actually made things worse in my opinion. Takes ages to get through to anyone on the phone, when you turn up to test drive a car or look at a car in the showroom there's barely any staff etc. Its fine for paperwork and configurations but I dont think it works for anything else. This was my recent experience with VW in Huddersfield - utterly *******.
  8. It doesnt cover infotainment as a whole I think Theres no guarantee - but certainly in a vehicle with full lexus service history they do tend to try and sort something out. Maybe its because Ive been on the Lexus books for nearly 18 years now
  9. It's £500 including labour. It takes 10 mins to fit tbh
  10. Not when the vehicle is over 7 years old. It only seems to affect the 2013-14 plate cars so they'll be way out of warranty as well.
  11. It seems to only affect the IS300h. The RC is unaffected. Tbf Lexus did offer the whole new head unit for £500 which is much less than retail price of £4000
  12. Unless you've seen those vehicles in person and they have the same amount of dirt on them and products used the research is entirely irrelevant Like I say, it's more likely to be caused by the leather moving based on how you're getting into the vehicle. Additionally a lower mileage car that's slightly older is more likely to have had short trips and hence more movement in and out of the seat compared to the same aged car with even 20-30k more miles. We all know Lexus leather is soft and supple more likely to crease. The other thing is your seats look oily and they need a deep clean which again makes creases appear more prominent
  13. I dont understand the fuss. All leather will crease and that looks absolutely normal to me. If you sit on a seat you will get creases Its almost like going to the dealer for kerbing your wheels. The picture is wear and tear as far as I am concerned and occurs when getting into and out of the vehicle. Its simply made worse by using the vehicle for short journeys as it increases the movement in and out of the car compared to doing massive miles.
  14. Interesting. Likely tyres were Goodyear eagles which are quite high performance summer tyres so tend to become rock solid in winter causing this effect
  15. Which tyres did you have and which ones did you change to?
  16. Anyone who ordered it before a certain time should get the 3.9%. The offers change depending on when the vehicle is bought. It's the same across many manufacturers
  17. Some people are always stuck in the old days. I managed to sit in one and the cabin is a huge upgrade over the old one. Mostly in terms of looks and functionality but the quality of materials as well. Still not for me though as I prefer the RX so waiting for that one but comparing visuals to quality of materials is hypocrisy

You'll probably find if using usb you won't have to turn the volume up as much That's been my experience in all Lexus so far.

I wouldnt worry too much The Pioneer systems are pretty good anyway. My current RX and UX have the pioneer systems and they are perfectly fine. Its better than the C class standard system and better than the Meridian on the XE.

Youll have a pioneer system which is pretty good for a "standard" system The Jaguar XE Meridian system was average at best in my opinion. No better than the C class standard system in my latest car. The Mark Levinson is very good - its more tuned towards audiophiles so not overly bass heavy but the clarity is unrivalled.
  21. Well, I have a sneaky suspicion that the reason our battery kept dying on the IS was due to the radio not completely shutting off. This is why on some vehicles when the battery is changed of that model year it konks the radio out and leaves a black screen Or so that's the theory behind it according to the people across the pond

I did look at the newer XE with the facelifted interior. The problem is that the panels are still made of that horrible plastic which feels really hollow. It could have been a brilliant car but theres too many shortcomings - swapped it for a Merc C200 of the same year and its worlds apart. Still have the two Lexus too and to be honest, whilst the Merc is good, it doesnt give the same feeling of solidity as the Lexus vehicles Ive had

Got rid of it after 6 months Drives so well - sounds amazing. Breaks down every month. Lets just say it cost me in excess of £2k just in multiple repairs which werent covered under warranty and left me stranded after a 12 hour night shift in A&E. The interior quality was poor for what was a £47k car and the paint was peeling off behind the wheels. The panel gaps were OK to be fair but ended up buying a car with my heart and regretted it badly
  24. If its a 2014 model, I would strongly suspect parasitic drain from the radio
  25. Most cars will pull to the left slightly due to the way the road is in the UK As long as the numbers on the printout are fine it should be well aligned unless you've bent something They've obviously tried twice to rectify the issue I don't see how that's poor customer service?
