  1. Do you do alot of small journeys around 2 miles each way?
  2. Im not a fan of dealer products - waste of time and money. Id go for Gtechniq every time personally.
  3. Might be a bit cheeky and ask for a hefty discount lol :P I dont know whether I like the Grey one or the white one though
  4. Pretty much sold out apparently - Thats what ive been told for this year anyway
  5. Yes the car does have to be unlocked. I was confused to the reason behind this just after I bought the car but it was an eye opener when the dealer told me the reason behind it! Its because some people sit on their keys or press them by accident leaving the boot open outside for intruders or rain to get in. Same with the window opening feature which is disabled to stop people waking up to wet cars after pressing the fob by accident Ah that makes sense. I thought that i had done something wrong! I am happy that you can also close the tail gate with the fob. This is not possible on my friends E class Estate. Its a good feature - closing with the fob has been around since 2004, possibly earlier as my 2004 RX300 allowed the tailgate to be closed with the fob too! Anyways - be sure to get us a review on the car and some pics (theyre mandatory) :P
  6. Totally agree - my service plan on the RX450h is £998 for 3 services - its the RRG Platinum service plan so I get 10% off parts, labour and accessories, a courtesy car from the hybrid range for a few days or priority collection and delivery, a free full valet every year (im OCD about my paint being scratched but the valet guys are really good blokes and take great care of the car - seen them in action), free summer and winter checks, free entry to the golf club etc. Pretty pleased with it in all honesty, even KWIK fit charge a good £225 for a service and treat it like a pile of dirt
  7. Yep these were on my 04 RX300. Had them changed out for Goodyear's I think back then when they were at 3mm. Noticed an immediate change in noise levels and grip (probably due to increased tread). The Bridgestone's are quite noisy IMO.

  9. Michelin Latitude Tour HP's - you will not regret it. Great grip, superbly quiet and rated very well for efficiency and wet grip. I think they're perfect for your needs. They are also standard fit RX tyres in the states with a long tread life. They are also M+S marked so slightly better than summer tyres in those conditions - again, no need to actually swap them over in the winter.
  10. in the US they have a proper follow me home feature. We don't seem to get that in the UK which is very annoying
  11. which glass polish have you Used? Glass won't polish by hand, it's too hard, you'll need to machine it to get a result
  12. Mine locks its doors automatically too? I might get the dealers on it or use the Carista app with an OBD2 adaptor
  13. Most likely end of this year or early next year - in fact it may come out as late as June next year. Nothing is absolutely concrete though. Im estimating here but the NX200T does about 35mpg on a combined cycle whereas the NX300h does 54mpg. The IS300h does a claimed 60mpg on a higher output combination. Bear in mind these are all F-Sport figures. So all in all, NX300h is 90% as efficient as the IS300h. Therefore I would expect the IS200t to do about 40mpg combined if the power output isnt changed. ExpecT 35-38mpg if power is bumped up to 250+ hp The IS200t should be pretty expensive to tax though at £199-£225 if you take NX200t prices into account and then expect maybe 1 lower band. I have a sneaky feeling the IS200t will actually cost more than the IS300h if not the same amount too.
  14. 1 - Navigation has full postcode entry. When you go on the Nav and click on destination a page will come up which wont have "postcode" on it. However on the top right corner near the back button, there'll be an option to go onto the 2nd page which has the full postcode entry. I couldnt find it at first lol! 2 - As far as Im aware all the 3.5l Lexus engines after year 2009 have a chain 3 - My DAB is fine - picks up most if not all stations. Pretty clear too but I still prefer the USB for listening to music!
  15. Its definitely available in the US. Ive been on the ClubLexus forums and asked about it and they can turn it on or off directly from the nav menu under "light settings". They have 5 options there whereas we only have four which is odd
  16. The adaptive dampers may be something you're interested in as they do make a noticeable difference to the ride.
  17. *BUMP* No one knows anything about follow me home lights on the RX450h?
  18. IS200t coming later this year - expect power output to be the same if not slightly tuned up. Lexus have mentioned its a very flexible engine in terms of tuning so it may come with more power.
  19. It mentions something in the RX450h handbook about leaving exterior lights on for 30s after turning the car off. Mine does not do this even though the personalised settings have the exterior lights on for 30s which I find a bit odd. Does anyone know how to do this? Thanks!
  20. 2017 for the LS. Coming with a twin turbo engine according to my sources. Oh and it's an absolute masterpiece apparently. Hes been 100% right so far with the GS-F and RX so seems pretty reliable. It may be coming with hydrogen fuel cell too
  21. I dont understand why they didnt offer the Clove colour on the RC-F. Maybe its something theyll add later on. Itd be perfect for the blue! It seems to be a more yellowy shade and would look great with the red too and perhaps the solar flare :P
  22. Finally the 2016 Lexus RX teaser shots have been released. The teaser shows a design which is heavily influenced by the NX and appears to have a floating roof design. It also appears to be an F Sport variant which can be assumed by the 2 tone 20" wheels. Here is the original teaser: And some clever folk thought itd be a good idea to brighten the image up and this is what we get:
  23. I saw one too in the dealer - Azure blue with Red leather and I loved it! I liked the styling but agree with the suede in the interior, I wonder why they put it there. £68k you say? Must have had the TVD, ML and the adaptive cruise control. Id probably do without the TVD and adaptive cruise control as I never use it. Its not worth financing IMO. I dont think they're 100% sure on the depreciation and hence put a lowball figure. Although to be fair - ive never come across ANY vehicle which is priced lower than the guaranteed value after 3 years.
  24. Yep Arctic pearl looks awesome when the sun hits it! The wheels are very hard wearing unlike past Lexus wheels. No bubbling on mine and I've kerbed one of them and it's been the same for 2 years :)
