Nah mine was £54.5k and its not fully loaded so Im guessing atleast £58k for the F-Sport with the pan roof, ML and all the tech goodies. Always hate walking into showrooms with a suitcase full of cash lol, will have to do it again next year by the looks of it!

All RX450h models are made in Japan. Yeah it should be around oct/nov but they havent officially announced it yet

It said "around 300hp" which could mean its higher or lower lol. Im guessing itll be higher than 300hp, around the 310-320 mark. Ill be getting an F-Sport in white I think :)

I usually buy mine online and get them fitted at home, which is what I was about to do when Lexus said one of my tyres were a bit low on thread and they quoted me £98.00 for a front tyre fully fitted. Anyway, just before the cars due to get serviced yesterday I got an email from Lexus saying they price matched tyre retailers with a ten mile radius, so I found the tyre they mentioned (dunlop sportmaxx rt) for £80.00 ff (not a bad tyre judging from the reviews I read). On the phone there was an attempt to fob me off, so basically after a bit of a performance to make it look like they are losing loads of money and doing me a massive favour....and when we were face to face, they price matched it for £80. Actually, the whole service experience was pretty good, with me in complete content customer mode when I eventually got my keys back. Shame they don't do Rx tyres for the same price ... they would have quite a queue ... They'll usually price match - my dealer did tell me they would but I wasnt keen on the tyres they had. The Dunlop SP Sport 270 which were standard fit are not being sold in the UK now so once they go you have to choose between Bridgestone Dueler HP or Dunlop SP Sport Maxx or a budget brand. Personally, I didn't want to try tyres which were rated noisier than the factory fit Dunlop's (which in all honesty I havent had any trouble with) so I decided to get my own :)

Ok so most likely Admiral will try and steer you towards their "approved repairers". These are basically companies which do a cheap job so there is maximum profit for the insurance company itself. Now what you want is the Lexus Leeds body shop to do the work, therefore you will have to pay a "non approved repairer" excess of about £200. To stop you from doing this Admiral will most likely say "the repair work will not be guaranteed and you won't get a courtesy". That's utter BS. The Lexus body shop will guarantee the work and you will get a courtesy if you demand it. Btw, it is YOUR legal right to have the car repaired by any repairer you choose, they can't refuse it on the basis of cost or anything else for that matter Basically from here onwards you should be ok. They'll contact the body shop for a quote and they'll pay for the work.

I do find mine quite reasonable, even when haggling on new cars. Some would say £70 when full price is too much to fit 4 tyres but I'd rather spend £30 more at a deaper and get them to sort it out if something goes awry than dealing with kwik fit lmao

Must be the luxury without the electric seat option. TBF that version costs under £30k so it's to be expected. We need to get you in a BMW 3 series SE lol, see what you think of that :P

Sounds like an executive or luxury. The premier and f sport with full leather option have electric seats I think although you can spec it on the luxury too if I'm not mistaken

Cant say I agree with that. Ive driven the F-Sport and it was far from basic - are you in an SE or something? LOL TBH some of the buttons felt even more solid than in an LS as the switchgear in them is rather dated!

Trouble is that they are quite likely to kill others too. Speed is not the killer, it is the idiots who drive beyond their capabilities and don't take note of road/traffic/weather conditions as well as the car/motorcycle they are supposed to be in control of. Thats a good point. I suggest a good statistician needs to be consulted to see how many people have been in vehicles travelling at 70mph and at 100mph and seen how many survived in accidents to see how much difference it actually makes, if any

He goes on to mention the fantastic economy, the brilliant interior (which he thinks is better than even the Jaguar XE) and how he has warmed up to the CVT which he rates above Merc's 7 speed auto :)

Literally takes an hour to clean things up, its because the people doing it are incompetent and stand around with a finger up their backside. Doesnt help that communication sucks when these things happen.

That approach would definitely work in the UK on Motorways ONLY. Drive at speed capable of your car, if you wanna go at 130mph in a Corsa, so be it, but dont expect sympathy when you wrap your car around a tree and kill yourself.

Lexus are not known either, im not really sure how many people actually go there. You can usually find reviews of other Lexus dealers here but Norwich is a funny one in that it only services Lexus vehicles and there arent many reviews about either. Servicing wont be an issue - you can get it done by Dingles as they are certified by Lexus for servicing, they arent with bodywork and I think that's the main problem here. I feel like they took on a job which they had no experience with and ended up changing everything out. If something happens in the future, use the roadside assistance to get your car towed to Cambridge and work from there

On other cars they all recommend turning air suspension off when changing tyres so yes, I would turn it off to be on the safe side. To be fair thats not half bad. Kwik fit and national tyres charge around £20 per tyre as well. Come to think of it, even the backstreet boys charge £10 per tyre and they chuck the rim around like its frisby! Atleast if you get a scratched wheel the dealer will sort it out for you! :) Worth haggling them down though! Lexus are always willing to pay ball on price IMO

Hmm is that actually a Lexus showroom. Im a bit concerned as I have googled it and it seems as if they only do pre-owned Lexus cars and servicing, not new ones. It just seems really weird. It makes me think that they aren't a Lexus showroom at all and are in fact, just a Toyota showroom which do Lexus servicing. Its very odd. Ive never heard of Lexus Norwich either......... Also their cars dont seem to be on the Lexus Approved used website, whats going on here then? :o Technically you're correct - no showroom but in fact they are listed on the Lexus UK website when you click on "Book a service". I suspect that this is one down from a Lexus Centre but how could one deal with the terminology when you just want Lexus to fix your car and give good open communication? By the way, I did see some nearly new IS300h models there when I was considering my options, and borrowed one for a few hours which was also nearly new. As mine is a company car I have no control over where it's ordered from... I understand what you're saying. I think the main problem in this case was that its not a full Lexus Showroom. They are listed on Lexus UK as a servicing centre and therefore will be able to service the car, however, on Lexus UK it only shows servicing and not "bodyshop" which is what other showrooms have. I have a feeling the car was fixed by Toyota and Isuzu approved bodyshop and not a Lexus approved bodyshop which is why they had so much trouble with timing and communication. Id advise going to a "proper" Lexus showroom to get the work done as I can assure you they will be much more competent. I also believe that Toyota and Isuzu do not have the pop up hoods and therefore the bodyshop had no experience whatsoever in changing these components, hence ordering and fitting many more components than needed giving rise to high cost and wasted time. I would have expected around £1k but not the ridiculous figure you were charged. Did you get quotes from other Lexus dealers?

Nice! It appears that they are very popular over in the states as they are branded an all season there and are very quiet with good ride quality. I'll post my findings as soon as they are on

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but for me personally, I think the motorway speed limits are old fashioned. 70mph is pretty slow, don't know who drives at that speed nowadays anyway. I think a sensible figure would be 100mph tops - anyone over that gets instant ban and a jail sentence. It'll sort the clutter out on the motorways anyway

Damage is too little to be a complete write off. Maximum cost should be between £2-3k from the looks of it. My guess is they'll just stick a new bumper and relevant pieces on. Cars usually get written off if theyre damaged from the front due to excessive cost - rear ended vehicles are repaired accordingly. Airbag deployment usually drIves cost of repair up due to the whole interior being replaced However insurance company will take everything into account including courtesy car costs and expensive labour so its a possibility that the car may be a Cat D. I'm not too sure but I think you only get a new car if it's a total loss ie 60% of the value of the car
