  1. Theyre rubbish. Look tatty as hell when theyre curbed and can fling off on the motorway causing damage to the side of the car The UX has high profile tyres and its a small vehicle so kerbing shouldnt really be a problem!
  2. Doesn't say specifically V8. Just says both e63 and xfrs are v8s
  3. Unless you're fairly hands on, avoid the Jag. Its extremely high maintenance and painful to work on. E63 and CLS63 AMG are a good shout, Id expect them to be more reliable overall compared to the Jag. 540i X-drive touring is another option. Quick, inline 6 and comfortable at the same time.
  4. More and more manufacturers are moving away from it nowadays. VW had come out with a solution which had no wires but they only did it briefly. My Jaguar XE-S had it and I got used to it after a couple of weeks but it gave horrific glare at night due to the wires inside it. I dont really miss it - takes less than 5 minutes to scrape a windscreen and its even easier with a glass coating on
  5. Yep starting to see a fair few. Ive seen more UX's than CTs nowadays.
  6. The button has to be held down for a few seconds as well rather than just pressed
  7. So looks like the new RX is nearly upon us. Its been spotted in Japan under some heavy camo so cant really see the lines as such. It appears to have the full rear light bar like the NX and an updated nose. I believe the side profile will pretty much be the same. Not entirely sure what platform itll be based on and it looks like its also getting the fancy digital handles from the NX.
  8. It's a weird thing to do. They make it in RHD so even if they brought the IS300h over it would have been ideal
  9. I think they don't want a CT replacement as UX was designed to take over that market due to the obsession with SUVs There is an IS coming but it'll be fully electric. They're just updating it overseas until that happens
  10. This chaps not in the UK so may have a different situation to us here. Besides Ive test driven one. The offer was through the dealer and silly not to take up just to see what its like. I dont have any plans on owning one either but will wait for the next RX.
  11. I had this on my car recently. It seems to happen if the seat is set too high/low or the position of the seat is changed before the vehicle is turned on. Try to put the seat higher or lower and see if it makes any difference
  12. Its not just factory disruption. I believe they were up and running within a week after the earthquake. Its more the supply chain issues which is pushing everything back. VAG are quoting 12 months to get a car if ordered from factory now. They're prioritising low spec cars first. I wouldn't be surprised if Lexus are doing something similar. We ordered a golf in December 2021. Delivery due May 2021. It's pushed back to November 2022. I expect it to be pushed back further.
  13. Recent earthquake in Japan has closed Toyota plants and a major chip supplier.
  14. Yes that's right. Maybe some confusion on my part. When you said higher ved I took it to mean the supplementary ved
  15. If it's a 66 plate the higher ved won't apply. It was only from April 2017 onwards. even some 17 plates could have got away with it providing they were registered in march It only lasts for 5 years too so it should go back to normal rates after April 2022 if it was a 17 plate registered after April 2017
  16. Yep my c class was £17k px value in January. Higher price than I bought it for 1 year earlier. Now it's down to £14k. We've also ordered a Golf 1.5 R line with all the bells and whistles and they're saying November 2022. We ordered in December 2021 with a hefty £5k discount and initial build slot was in May! Let me know when the M3 comes. I wouldn't mind having a GSF 🤣
  17. Bubble burst ages ago. Car prices wbac are giving out are nowhere near what they used to be 2 months ago. They're struggling to shift used cars off the market. I've seen loads on the forecourt that have been on for a few months
  18. On balance, never had any issues with Bridgestone tyres and Ive gone through a fair few with the RX
  19. Potentially. I did go on holiday maybe that caused the fuel to go "off" so to speak. Also was a bit rough in the lawnmower after 2 weeks
  20. Wasnt a very windy day at all . Clear skies and dry. Never found out ever
  21. Ive noticed a lot of variability not just between E5 and E10 but also between different fill ups of E10 in my C200. Its the car that gets the most miles put on it. Between E5 and E10 theres a consistent 2mpg drop in town and about 5mpg drop on a long run. When I say Ive noticed a difference between different fill ups of E10, its very variable. Sometimes it'll get 40mpg on a run which is normal on E10. The other day I went on the M62 and the mpg indicator refused to go above 36mpg. Same speed on cruise control, same distance and the temperature was actually higher so the engine warmed up relatively quickly too.
  22. Its quite interesting reading this thread. I would say none of your projected delivery dates are bad at all. Even September would only give you a time frame of 6 months. We've ordered a VW Golf in December 2021. The estimated delivery is December 2022!
  23. It's this crap fuel. Ive noticed on the C200 it's getting almost 2-3mpg less than it was on E5 in town and up to 5mpg on a good run.
  24. Get some matt clear paint protection film. Wont need much and itll be cheap - worth giving it a go
