Isnt that what you want? to change the seat as a good will gesture? That suggests they're paying for it right?

Paint Colour Code For Alloy Wheels
rayaans replied to Bratman91's topic in Lexus IS 300h / IS 250 / IS 200t Club
Colin is correct. BBS make the F-Sport wheels and if im not mistaken enkei make some others. Im sure there's other manufacturers making the wheels too but those are the 2 main ones -
Paint Colour Code For Alloy Wheels
rayaans replied to Bratman91's topic in Lexus IS 300h / IS 250 / IS 200t Club
No paint code for any Lexus wheels. It's actually not one colour. There's a black coat underneath the silver coat to make it look how it does. Only way is a full refurbishment -
Rx400H Battery
rayaans replied to jap lover's topic in RX 300 / RX 350h / RX 400h / RX 200t / RX 450h+ / RX 500h Club
1 - yes it's 2015. Not sure if you realised but the RX450h has been out for 6 years and a new RX is coming out this year so we aren't talking about a new car here. 2 - the 450h does not suffer from these battery problems. I've left my car for 4 weeks every winter for the last 3 years and it starts fine. 3 - you're plucking figures out of the sky. The 400h wasn't anywhere near the region of £50k, the current RX is and its the most reliable car in its class - period - no ifs no buts, it just is. If there was a major issue, we'd know about it as Lexus sells 100k RXs annually in the US alone -
Nisshoku Alloy Wheel Reconditioning
rayaans replied to DJ Sleep's topic in Lexus IS 300h / IS 250 / IS 200t Club
Nice scuff! Looks almost like mine lol! You'd have to get all 4 done mate if you want them all the same. Otherwise, get 2 done on the same side. The standard f sport ones are difficult to match although some dealers have got the hang of it now. However, yours are a whole different ball game. Basically you have 2 paints on one wheel which give the black chrome effect. You could opt to leave them be, let the front wheel get dirty and it'll blend in. I've just left mine and the wheels have been fine over 3 years. With those wheels I'd wait till you get some damage on the others and do all of them when they get really really bad -
Which dealer? Nah just say it's a fault in the seat and you'll contact Lexus UK if not resolved. Just give them a hard time lol

2.5 years - definitely. I usually recommend 1 year for a clay job so it should have a lot of crud on it. Even the new cars need clay barring sometimes due to transport wax. Never used it myself but it gets decent reviews

Yeah no problems - grit comes off the mitts well as the compound is slightly different - Ive tested it out btw lol. If theyd been one use only, itd be a different story

Intermediate Service
rayaans replied to PCM's topic in RX 300 / RX 350h / RX 400h / RX 200t / RX 450h+ / RX 500h Club
Im still grabbing one though albeit an ex-demo lol The essentials servicing is good value IMO. Especially considering Kwik Fit charge £150 for intermediate service - that was 5 years ago on my RX300. They charge £118 for my wife's Merc with a manager discount LOL! -
Rc-f's Taken A Big Hit!
rayaans replied to rayaans's topic in Lexus RC Owners Club / RC 200t / RC 300h Club
Yep, pretty good spec and a good colour combo too Ive heard the RC-F's in the states are having leather issues - specifically, the seatbelt rubs on the leather seat and goes through after 5-6k miles. Some have had stuck spoilers too but they've managed to fix that one. The leather issue is frightening though, after 30k you'd have a hole in the seat -
Moving From A Ct To An Is
rayaans replied to PaulWhitt20's topic in Lexus IS 300h / IS 250 / IS 200t Club
NX is not much bigger than the IS at all. Cars always look huge in the showroom for some reason. Personally, Im not a huge fan of the CT, I dont think it drives as well as the IS and have never considered it to be a true Lexus as it shares a LOT of underpinnings with the Prius and Auris. The IS is a step up from the CT no doubt - You wont look back! -
You may use the clay mitt if you drop it. They're washable unlike clay bars. Just put into a bucket of water and clean it out.

Lexus Nx True Mpg
rayaans replied to jawadarif's topic in Lexus NX300h / NX200t / NX350h / NX450h+ Club
Just thought I'd add my RX450H for reference. 218 mile trip to Birmingham and back. Whole trip was in Sport mode with 3 adults, one very big "child" of 16 years and a 5 year old + my wife's extra baggage about 20kg worth. Also full tank of fuel. Speed was about 70-80mph but was naughty and hit 100mph after becoming annoyed by the 50mph roadworks. 34mpg!! Didn't even try lol Considering some of you get that in the NX I'm quite chuffed with myself -
Rx450H Fuel Consumption
rayaans replied to ROBJOBY's topic in RX 300 / RX 350h / RX 400h / RX 200t / RX 450h+ / RX 500h Club
Drove to Birmingham and back so 218 miles altogether. Whole trip was in Sport mode at 70-80mph although I hit 100mph once after I got annoyed with the roadworks. Got 34mpg which I was extremely pleased with as I had 5 people in the car and maybe an extra 20kg from all the crap that my wife brings along -

Rx450H Fuel Consumption
rayaans replied to ROBJOBY's topic in RX 300 / RX 350h / RX 400h / RX 200t / RX 450h+ / RX 500h Club
You're driving a 3.5l V6 petrol hauling around 2 tonnes of weight, expecting 44mpg would be idiotic even if stated by the manufacturers. These cars are tested unrealistically. It's no different from any other manufacturer, in fact, Mercedes quote 70mpg from their c220 cdi. I got 35mpg in town - that's what you call bad. You have to understand that you'd struggle to do 18mpg in town if the car had no hybrid setup and was just a 3.5l V6. So 30mpg is very good. In fact, even Audi's Q7 3.0tdi, with a smaller engine and being a diesel only manages 25mpg in town so the Lexus is very good regardless of whether it achieves the fuel economy figures or not. -
Looks nice but flawed. Too heavy and not practical enough for the UK I think. Won't sell too well here. Got to say it doesn't look it in pictures but in reality it's bloody big! It's quite wide and rear space isn't too good so I'd say it's only plausible for someone without kids to own one
-
Lexus typically provide a 0-62 mph figure, because they test 0 to 100 km/h. The extra 2 mph equates to 0.3 to 0.4 seconds difference when at 60 mph. Im sure Autoexpress did 0-100km/h on the NX and it was 6.8 so 0-100km/h on the IS should be faster.

Lexus Smart Cover
rayaans replied to Martin J's topic in Lexus NX300h / NX200t / NX350h / NX450h+ Club
It honestly depends on where you drive. If you do a lot of motorway driving it may be worth it but even then, a full respray of a bumper would only cost about £200. Also there is a £10 excess to pay each time which is the same price as genuine Lexus Touch up paint if you're worries about stone chips I'd say it's not worth it. I have had my RX450H over 3 years from new. I have 4 stone chips on the front bumper and that's it lol Due to the high bumper and the huge girl I wouldn't worry too much about stone chips. They're inevitable -
Nuluxe? That's on the standard f sport which is vinyl but it's still decent. The real leather is very very good. The older IS came with black shiny plastic which marks easily but the new plastic is more durable and looks better too. Have you checked that out? Isn't the XE more expensive than the IS? Even though Lexus has to pay import duties and with a hybrid drivetrain? That's quite impressive really. The IS200T is going to be awesome! It's a good engine in the NX. With 400 pounds less weight and more power and with the g sensoring 8 speed transmission from the IS350, it'll hit 60 in 6.2-6.5s. The 7s time Lexus have given is hugely conservative. The NX has been timed at 6.8s by Autoexpress!
