  1. That price works out cheaper buddy. Go for it. However if you're car is over 5 years old go got lexus essential servicing
  2. well you see, the original poster is from Japan and he has given me most of the information to use. Other information comes from Lexus financial employee in the UK which gave me information on the cars in Austria. I can't see how its an issue to post these here - some people dont go on Clublexus as its primarily a US owners club
  3. Bought it from Chester. Had they given me my expected price for p/x I would have asked for even more and then tried to reduce the price of their car at the same time lmao
  4. Service plan - definitely. But.... not at that price. I paid £990 for 2 majors and a minor. I get a free valet every year, courtesy car, 10% off parts, labour and accessories as well as a chauffeur driven car once very year. It's been an LS600hl on both occasions!! If I bought separately it would have been £990 for 2 majors alone so I'm quite pleased. The trick is, pay monthly - I got 0% finance on the service, that way, they don't actually have all the moneyso have to give you good customer service or you can just pull it. Lexus insurance is overpriced. Any insurance company legally has to let you choose a bodyshop of your choice ie a Lexus approved bodyshop Ceramic paint sealant - no no from the dealers. Get some C quartz UK from the Internet, watch some application guide and apply it yourself. Being a new car, you won't need to polish it so you just need to give it a wash, then some IPA to wipe oils and then just apply it. It'll literally cost £36 or so + time. Be aware that ceramic paint coatings need special maintenance routines. Waxes and sealants generally dont
  5. I didn't purchase the car from them. I purchased from Lexus Stockport which is part of RRG group. Then RRG took over Lexus Bradford which was WMG or something like that before so don't know. I guess it depends where you live. They wouldn't survive in Yorkshire if they had expensive prices.....tight Yorkshiremen and all lol
  6. Defo agree. Hate mud flaps with a passion. Utterly painful to dress the things when washing the car too!I went down to the last £10 when buying the 300h. Then I even asked for them to do a number plate change free lol. Of course they refused but gave me £10 off lmao
  7. I guess I have a weird paint fetish. Seem to spend more time around it than I spend with my wife :P lol Hmm I thought that they'd have some profit in the car but then why didn't they just reduce the price of their car and give me a normal px value. Odd.
  8. I got a set of premium mats & a boot liner with mine doubt I could have negotiated anything else!! Haha I guess that's fair enough then. I don't thsee protectors have been out that long. Looks great on red but the one I had on white demo stood out too much
  9. Well done Ray. I`m sure that you will enjoy it very much. Photos please if possible.Regards John I've put the deposit down. Will find out when to collect at some point hopefully lol
  10. Will do on collection but I doubt it'll be ready until next week due to number plate transfer. I always liked Mesa Red, wife not so much! Now Red/red would be a killer combo!
  11. yep I think it is but £120!!! Im sure you could have haggled some off of that!
  12. F-Sport White with Red Leather and Premium nav! Its a 63 plate with 10k miles on it too! They ended up giving £3500 for my Mercedes (weird that, its not worth that much lol) and cost to change was £20,950. I have to transfer my number plate however so altogether £21,030 + my car.
  13. Now you've just given them some new ideas - Maybe they'll start advertising 'just for Londoners' prices soon :) Good luck on the securing a deal. They probably will and all LOL! Oh well, I live in Yorkshire so no problem for me :P Ive put an offer of £21000 and my wifes car (trade value £2700-3000) on the IS300h in Chester. Their asking price is £24490 so I feel £23700 is a decent offer - only £790 less than asking price and I said id collect which will save them £250 odd (they advertised free uk delivery which we all know is not really free at all). Will let you know what happens! If you buy from Chester Ray, they will give you a free car wash every Saturday morning.....for life ! Your wife can then spends loads of money in Cheshire Oaks, next door! And we can talk cars! Regards John I aint doing that mate - I live 60 miles away lol! Besides - Scratches!!!! Really weird - they offered £3500 for my wifes car, and said balance to change was £21580! Problem is, their car is listed at £24490 wtf!?
  14. All Lexus accessorises are expensive!! part no GBNGA-LXISB-PP. I bought it on eBay from the Lexus Birmingham ebay shop. Look up the price yourself as I am in denial. :tsktsk: http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Lexus-Birmingham-Parts?_trksid=p2047675.l2568 Ed OH NO! Hate to say it but again - mine was free LOL
  15. As far as Im aware - interior options for the F-Sport are Black, Red and *white*(this one may not come to the UK though) Of course, on other models you can choose a new shade of grey called Moonstone, Brown, Beige and Black :) The RX450H has always had a spare wheel in the boot - mine does anyway. I dont think there are any massive changes to the suspension but its basically an evolution - ie you get adaptive dampers now and F-Sport gets the active stabilizer for flat cornering. If you take a good look at the spec sheet (Japanese anyone?) its being compared to an X5 Xdrive 35d! Appears there is now a sunglasses holder. Cupholder from the drivers side has been removed and replaced with buttons and a small storage area. There is a picture referring to the glovebox and armrest cubby - are they cooled perhaps?!
  16. Stiffer sidewall also means better handling, which isn't a bad thing ... ;-) I don't think itd make that much difference in handling - its better to go for 245 tyres - itd give more grip and better ride!
  17. Just received some pics of a Japanese brochure of the 4RX from my insider. The RX200T has 235hp and 350 nm of torque. AWD is rated at 11km/l so expect about 31 UK mpg. RX450H is coming with a new 3.5l engine named 2GR-FXS. The engine pumps out 259hp and 335nm of torque. This is up from current 235hp and 317nm. Combined output is 312hp which is up from 295 hp currently. Fuel economy figures are up from 17.4 to 17.6km/l. Expect a slight increase in fuel economy. The premier wheels has customizable spokes with grey, blue, white and brown options. The HUD shows speed, nav, audio, adaptive cruise control settings etc
  18. It does depend on how many miles are on the car in the first place. There are a few extra things that are done at 60k miles but £745 is the upper limit. If you go to amother dealer they should give you a cheaper price. Worth asking for a 3 year service plan. They generally work out cheaper. Like I said I only paid £990 and I get a full valet, golf club membership, 10% off parts and labour etc etc I've been looked after pretty well by Lexus Bradford. MOT for £27 and all tyres fitted for £50. I can't really complain on the value front As for an inspection shsef, my service slips always have a visual inspection sheet showing prior scratches. Ive taken great care of my car over the past 3 years so nothing for me apart from 1 kerbed wheel which shows up each service on the sheet
  19. Definitely go for the F-Sport - looks much better and handles a dream with the 4 wheel steering. With Lexus people dont really tend to change cars every 3 years, its just random as they rarely have any issues whatsoever. With Lexus dealers in the UK, they seem to reduce the price between £200-1000 on used vehicles. Its highly unlikely you'll get more than that unless the car has been lying around for ages and they just want to get rid. The one in Sidcup has been there for a while now - should be able to get it for £25k. You mention a tow bar - make sure you check the towing capacity. As far as I am aware, hybrids can't tow very much. Just to throw in a curveball - have you considered the GS300h? Lexus Leicester have a very rare 14 plate GS300h in Crimson red with Red leather interior and 12" screen. Dont be fooled by the 0-62 times, they feel quicker than the figures suggest and you'd rarely need more power than it provides anyway. Of course, it would depreciate less, be newer and cost less in fuel too. Of course, the car is still under warranty until 2017 also!
  20. I wouldn't recommend the IS220d personally. Its a departure from usual Lexus principles and was really just an attempt to grasp more sales. The IS220d frequently has problems and id say in terms of maintenance costs, an IS250 would be the better option and would probably cost not much more to run.
  21. Lord have mercy. No one is suggesting that Lexus could/would sell the Rx400h today at £56,000. The above poster stated that he thought that the reliability was unacceptable for a '£50K car.' You responded that he was 'plucking figures out of the sky.' I have shown that in fact he was not. Without taking inflation into account, any such discussion of an object's value is completely meaningless - one is not comparing like with like. Maybe this would have been a better way to phrase the original point: 'I find the reliability in a car that cost the equivalent of £56K in today's money unacceptable.' But it didnt cost £56k, thats the whole point. The RX450H Premier costs £56k and thats a much superior vehicle. What inflation are you referring to? NHS has frozen my pay for 7 years? Inflation works both ways, not just one!

  23. More performance = more dangerous in the insurance world. The only reason insurance is more expensive here is because the companies are extorting customers. As customers don't have a choice in whether to take insurance or not, an increase in prices across all companies leaves the consumer with nowhere to go. Either that or us brits are just **** drivers
  24. Some good advice here guys thanks! Well Ive come to the conclusion that the Black/Red with 47k miles is a bit overpriced - they're arent willing to play ball past £22k which I think is a bit ridiculous - may as well extort customers! When I asked why their car was so expensive - their reply was "Cars in London are generally more expensive" to which I replied "so surely the price of your new cars are higher too then?". He didn't know what to say! Anyway - the search continues....... UPDATE - Just put an offer in for the White/Red IS300h in Chester. Will see what comes of it.
  25. Lexus GB and stupid in the same sentence ;)I don't understand it. So what if it eats into 300h sales, they still make a sale and if it is priced like the NX they will make more margin on the 200t than the expensive hybrid. Given that the IS200t is coming to the UK there isn't even the argument around cost of having to train mechanics and keep additional spares etc. I've been told there isn't a market for it. Screw that, I'd buy it straight away if it was the same price or even higher than the GS 250. It'd be a great engine for the GS! 7.2s is pretty good going for a luxo barge and I can't imagine fuel economy being that bad
