  1. Apples to oranges mate. F Pace is considerably smaller than the new RX. It's about the same size as NX and it'll be starting at £35 - £39k so it'll be more expensive than the NX when loaded. If its coming with the same quality of cabin as the XE (which it seems to be from the spyshots), I wouldn't consider it as the NX cabin quality is very good in comparison. Besides, Jaguar's should be cheaper - no import duties or anything like that for them JLR still have issues which is off-putting. I have a friend with an Evoque, literally said he regretted it, not because of the drive or anything like that but the fact that it always had things going wrong with it. The good thing is, he sold it for only £3k less than he paid for it after 2 years. Anyways - another one:
  2. Sheesh that's seriously bad. The one I got is 2 years old and doesn't have that sort of stuff
  3. If you put postcode in, it should come up with a page to put a house number in if applicable
  4. Yup new RX is on the list but will have to see it first! I like the look but depends on the spec and of course pricing is an issue! I've told her to park it a foot away from the kerb lol. Luckily she doesn't park on roads, mostly in supermarket car parks (she takes my car sometimes - I dread it but it hasnt been dinged yet!) so not many kerbs to be afraid of!
  5. So here are the photos! There are some light scratches and swirls Ive noticed so will need to give it a good polish once I get the time! You'll have to click on the pictures to see them properly as some of the edges are cut off in the thumbnails
  6. Cross climate is awesome! As far as I'm aware, not available in RX size
  7. I set off at 3:45pm and got there at 6pm. Only 70 miles too! I'm going to have a play with the settings after washing the RX lol
  8. So I collected the IS300h F-Sport yesterday! Its 2 years old, being an early 63 plate but only has 10k miles on it! Its from Lexus Chester who made the whole experience very painless so hats off to them. The worst part of the experience was actually traveling to collect - it took 2 hours just to get to Chester and it was only 70 miles away - M62 is so 5hite! On the way back the car took us straight through Warrington - no idea why, bit of an awkward nav system compared to the RX450h but Ill play with the settings and see what I can do. Ill post pics later on today! Just one question though - is there a way to get the indicator beeps to become louder? They're so quiet that sometimes I can't tell that they're on - not to mention the indicator stalk (different from the RX450h) which I'm still getting used to.
  9. They also just said the RX450H F Sport will be £52995 after a conference on Friday. The current RX is £500 less for every model and of course the RX200T doesn't exist for the current generation. £52995 would certaonly be impressive - regardless, I think I'll grab a demo in 3-6 months. First ones are coming in January according to them
  10. Hmm ok so Lexus Scotland have just told me the price of an RX200t is £39995 and RX450H starts at £44995!!!!?!?! They answered my post on Facebook. Everyone van see it so I highly doubt theyre making figures up Lee that's good advice actually. Just grabbed a 2 year old IS300H F Sport with 10k miles on it in White with Red leather and premium nav for £24k!!! Lmao that cost someone nearly £40k when it came out
  11. My dealer has sealed lips on the price - I said Im not paying anything over £60k for an F SportI'd be surprised if it's in high demand. Most people can't afford £70k outright or £900 a month payments. Guess we will have to see if they release the price officially on 15th September lol You don't see many £70k cars on the road at all The LS is £75k and they're having to give £10k discounts just to sell any lol
  12. Yup 3 years with a new car. This is one reason why I don't buy cars when the new plate comes out - they get so busy that they rush the prep. Highly likely you'll find scratches and swirls on the car too :/
  13. The actual engine itself is super smooth - it's very silky - can't complain one bit. With the new one having more power 313ps compares to 299ps atm I can see why Lexus went for it. It has a lot of mid range urge so never feels lacking. Personally, I think 35mpg is OK for an SUV so not too fussed. Last time I drove a Q7 tdi it was getting about the same so I still think it's a good drivetrain. No complaints here. Taking a £14k hit in the first year is much greater than a few hundred quid here are there spent in fuel so mpg doesn't bother me
  14. On a side note just found this video: Now it doesnt seem very interesting BUT - look at 1:10. There is a HUD button - and its an F-Sport?!
  15. Yes I agree regarding the wheels - however, I think they look better when they're black! MPG figures are always going to be off regardless - I get about 35mpg MAX - its rated at 44.8mpg - oh well lol. Im not going to buy new at £65k - ill have to get a demo. My limit is £50k. I spent £49k on the current one new - only options being ML and Arctic pearl paint. It dropped £14k in a year wtf! Id imagine this new one to fall faster!
  16. It has got high mileage for its age so may qualify - its worth asking the dealer just to make sure. Ideally you'd want to go to an independent for servicing though as Lexus charge a small fortune after the first 50k miles and it won't really affect car value that much after 50k miles. Usually, its only worth going to Lexus for servicing in the first 3-5 years providing you do 10k miles a year as using an independent would have a very big effect on depreciation. Once it has 80k miles on it, its not going to matter where you take it for servicing.
  17. RX8 is nothing in comparison - a 135i is difficult to control sometimes - the 235i is more stable. 135i when driven in Eco mode always seems to be artificially 'held back' But it tones down the throttle response etc etc
  18. £767 is a good deal buddy as the 60k one is more expensive than normal. However, if you're CT has 80k miles on it - its better off going for either Lexus Essential Care or an independent. Reason being is that they'll try and charge you something like £1000 for the 100k one.
  19. Hehe its highly unlikely im going to buy it new though - the cost would be unjustifiable - Ill probably be looking at 6-12 months old - if the F-Sport is priced at £65k then it'll be £53k in 6 months (look at the RCF!!) with less than 7k miles on them. I can remember doing the insurance on mine - the value was £54k first (I paid £49k new) and next year it was £40k. Took a £14k hit in the first year oooof! Taking into account that this model won't be as popular as the current one due to size and price it'll depreciate quite fast! Im defo getting white with red lol. Id like the pan roof too and the ML. I guess ill have to live without the HUD
  20. What do you mean by difficult to control...The point of a RWD 300bhp car is the fact you can get the tail out for a little wag by using your right foot. People don't buy these cars to make them feel safe. If you tried to use 100% of the power in my old E90 335i on a slightly damp/cambered road, you better be ready for it to try and throw you into the nearest ditch (and tried it did on many occasions), and that was in a straight line :)It's the one thing I really miss about RWD, with my FWD Leaf all you get is understeer, followed by understeer, followed by more understeer, and than the TC kicks in kills all the power....and than I realise I'm about to run out of charge and have to crawl home at 30mph :) As in - its difficult to keep in a straight line with your foot planted to the floor LOL. Its a ditch finder - hence why so many have crashed!
  21. Doesn't prove anything though. 61000 is a very small sample. Also the Lexus NX was barely out for a few months when the results came out so no doubt it's very unreliable. You have to take into account that reliability is subjective. A BMW owner may say every rattle and knock is a reliability issue whereas a Toyota driver could say only mechanical issues are to do with reliability. Hardly fair.
  22. RX8 is nothing in comparison - a 135i is difficult to control sometimes - the 235i is more stable.
  23. Depends on the insurance company - some give discounts and others class it as a modification (which it is in all honesty as its not from factory). It may or may not help you and it depends on what the actual difference in premium is. Personally, Ive never even though about using a dash-cam.
  24. Sure you're wife can handle it? I had issues with that particular car lol - its not exactly what you'd call "driver friendly"
