  1. Its not much slower than the IS250. It makes a good noise in F-Sport guise and they can be picked up relatively cheap compared to a 450h or newer 300h.
  2. Everything looks fine according to the stamps on the book. This is your 6th service so hence its the 6 year/60k service. If you look carefully youve had 2 services in 2020 and the 2021 service is 2 months earlier than it would be if you were doing 10k miles a year. Same with the 2022 service Your mileage is much higher than 10k miles a year hence you reached the 60k service earlier than expected
  3. How many stamps are in the book? Like John has mentioned its 10k/1year whichever comes soonest so despite the vehicle being on 51k miles, if you havent owned it from new, it could have done more than 10k in a year causing the services to be done slightly earlier each time. The other theory is that the dealer could have done a service in advance of a sale which could have pushed it forward too
  4. What I was trying to say is, if your order came in at under £40k, it should still be that price despite the price changes that followed. So you shouldn't have to pay the supplementary tax. You may be able to change the order but this usually means a delay and you'll pay the updated prices on the whole vehicle. Best to check with the dealer but I suspect they'd cancel the original order and put in a completely new one
  5. As far as I'm aware, with any vehicle I've bought, the price you order it at is the price you pay. I've never had dealer say "oh the price has gone up since you ordered so you have to pay the new price now"
  6. I didnt rate the UX250h versions either. Hence we got the UX300e as its a much better car in terms of road noise, quietness and performance. The extra sound deadening is definitely noticeable. Having said that, when I had the ES as a loaner for the UX300e I felt disappointed. I was comparing it to my RX and I found it a bit slow. It felt more boat like than the RX which I found a bit weird.
  7. It should be a direct swap https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/265591560392?hash=item3dd67d98c8:g:WKAAAOSwhRhiLHhy Ebay is showing up some grills for the RC with part number 5310124090 That particular link Ive shown has the cover on the right side which a lot are missing and the standard or Premier/Takumi models version of this part wont fit the F-Sport grill You could also contact: https://lexuspartsdirect.co.uk/ 53101-24180 seems to be the part number for the Luxury line grill with vertical slats. 5310124090 seems to be the correct part number for the F-Sport grill itself
  8. Sounds normal. People are waiting 12 months for VW products at the moment, some in excess of that
  9. Gummiplege is OK but silicone spray on a rag wipes over the seals seems to last a lot longer and provide more lubrication between the seals in my opinion.
  10. A polisher should get most of that out or atleast make it less visible. Cant imagine it costing more than £300 to sort out which would probably be much cheaper than going through insurance depending on excess and ongoing costs of a claim
  11. Well its not massively inaccurate. The camera based system seems to pick up on most speed signs. The problem is that it picks up on max speed signs that are on the back of lorries and vans too and theres no way of the system knowing which one is which.
  12. Most of the time the camera system is fairly accurate though and does pick up most speed signs so in that regard it is a driver aid. As always though, its a driver aid as its supposed to be used in conjunction with the driver, hence the quite obvious name. Unfortunately therefore, it does rely on an element of common sense on the drivers part in knowing that a road is not a motorway, or a motorway is not a 30mph road.
  13. Some initial reviews are in. Looks like the Yoke is very well judged and the overall vehicle is up to usual Lexus standards https://www.autoexpress.co.uk/road-tests/357875/new-lexus-rz-450e-prototype-review https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.motor1.com/reviews/583148/2022-lexus-rz450e-prototype-first-drive/amp/
  14. That person at the dealership is an idiot. I had a 3rd gen RX and it did open from the key
  15. It's also got a 31% larger battery. Lexus estimates 225 miles but seems some sources have reported this as 250 miles. Tbh the RZ looks to have a freakishly similar battery size to the Audi E-tron 50 Quattro yet it's 3.2s faster to 62mph and estimated to have more range.
  16. The UXe does 160 miles minimum no matter what the weather is. I regularly used it in winter with everything on so on that regard it probably would
  17. It's actually quite simple. They just move the screen closer like they have done in the ES, RX and LS
  18. Honestly depends where it's coming from Could even be creaky seals that just need a bit of lubrication
  19. I wouldn't trust EBC. The issues I've had with red stuff pads on other cars I'd never touch them again. Even yellow stuff has its own problems although maybe ultimax might be OK.
  20. It's because parts supply is so sporadic right now that they simply don't know when something is going to arrive Our VW Golf was ordered Dec 2021, supposed to be 7 months wait. Build date changed daily between week 11 and week 44 for past few months
  21. No didnt bother as it doesnt fill the screen and looks a bit tacky to me on the RX Did it on the IS when we had the smaller screen and it was much better suited to that one
  22. If you dont drive in the snow then just go for the Efficient Grip 2. I remember my son's old Polo and Golf I put on Goofyear efficient grip tyres and they were great all around to be honest.
  23. Should improve battery life yes. I've usually just maxed it out however.
  24. Yet their customer service is still abysmal. It should be amazing if dealing with the manufacturer directly. Unfortunately, just because you're dealing with the vendor rather than a third party, it doesnt mean anything in the real world. You mention not dropping your key off for a service. Well you had to drop your car off for a service so how much hardship is it to give them the key? Its all a bit of a gimmick. Last time I had a service Lexus picked up my car and dropped it off. I didnt even need to pay them as it was all included in the service plan. I really dont see the advantage here. Young buyers will almost always flock to BMW/VAG/Merc. They're so backwards that you have to drop the car off and leave it or wait there. They have a waiting list of over a month for a courtesy car and yet they're sales aren't really affected. Go figure? The screenshot of the app you showed, what advantage does that provide? Its not like I check how much im spending on fuel and where so why would I bother to check how much and where I am on charging? Most people dont look at these pointless things - car needs fuel, they fill it up to how much they can afford or fill the tank. Its like my home charging app for the UXe - I dont check it, theres simply no point. It needs charging, it gets charged, simple as that. The NX and RZ including future models will have OTA updates for the software although we dont know to what extent.
  25. Certainly. Premium is all about the feel of the vehicle. The materials used, the quality of the damping, the NVH, the alignment of the doors etc. Tesla falls heavily behind on these main areas of what a premium vehicle should be. Last time I checked Mercedes have been using some renault engines in their vehicles, Audi uses the same engines as a Skoda or VW. Like I said, the Audi Q4 uses a much inferior powertrain to the RZ for suspected similiar cost. Is that not a premium vehicle? Sales numbers are one thing, but dont confuse that with being premium, otherwise the Ford Fiesta would be the most premium of them all for a long time. Take the IS300h - do you drive around thinking "oh heck, this is an inferior powertrain compared to the BMW 330e, Mercedes C300e"? Did you buy it thinking that the BMW 320d in the real world is faster, probably more economical and has better steering? Because I certainly dont get into my RX and think it needs to have a twin turbocharged V6 plug in hybrid whilst im driving around.
