    The 250 SE-L has the front screen electrically heated just beneath the wipers....very effective it is too. Yes Garry, I did suspect I was answering my own question :) Thanks for your replies. Hmm perhaps boiling a kettle maybe a more effective method to get them to free up?

    I think the driver door unlock is for opening the car if I recall correctly. As in open just drivers door or all doors. Anyway yes, with open upon P it'll work perfectly

    Don't stick anything on the two front side windows as they have a water repellant coating on already However, yes I use them all the time, very good for winter

    I've used wax and found it a pain in terms of streaks. I can recommend angelwax h2go and gtechniq rain repellants. They require much less speed to flick water off so keeps screen clear

    Interior is on a whole new level to an RC though. Its like saying what does an R8 have that an RS4 doesnt and the answer is NOT much

    How do they have the paint code when it doesnt exist? The wheels are sprayed with 2 different colours to get the effect you do. On a side note - anyone fancy getting all their rims sprayed in BMW Ferric grey? That way if you kerb the wheel you only have to do 1 at a time!

    OK dont quote me on this but the last time i was at the dealership there was talk off 3.8 ltr hybrid.................around 85k 5ltr V8 ( as in RC-F ).... around 100k 5ltr V 8 twin turbo.........around 130k Hmm the 3.8l hybrid seems odd - It'd mean they're developing a new engine. Id assume the hybrid setup would be from the LS600h. I know the 5ltr V8 is correct - thats the car shown here with 467hp, exact same engine but its lighter due to use of different materials I have also heard of the 5.0l V8 twin turbo but get this - ive also been told a 3.0L V6 twin turbo may be available depending on demand.

    Ah I see, the volume feature would make sense yes However, with the lights, I would have thought they'd turn on automatically if it gets too dark anyway. The settings for the auto lights are customizable, I keep them at -2 as they turn on too quick otherwise but even in the rain, the lights on the RX and IS do turn on when it gets to a certain level of darkness!

    Yh thats probably in the settings - I leave my bag in the footwell behind the drivers seat and I always open rear door. Id assume it says something like "unlock all doors when put into park" or "unlock all doors upon power off" or something. Im sure theres a setting for "Unlock all doors when driver door opens" or something Mine is put to "unlock all doors when in park" which is great!

    I dont see the point of headlights turning on when the wipers are on, looks daft (like those guys putting their foglights on for no reason). Understandable if dark but sometimes its raining and the sun is out! I dont think that volume feature is useful - I regularly switch between USB and radio. If I left the radio on at 40 and then moved to USB and turned the volume down, If I switched back to radio itll kill my ears and result in sudden shock would it not?!

    Yeah should fit fine thats the correct one. RC350 and IS350 have the same dash so itll work. No idea why you'd need it though, the only thing that comes off is the LCD screen anti-reflective coating (which is the same as the ones put on glasses and they scratch too!). The actual screen itself wont scratch unless you're regularly putting things near it.

    Couldnt do without heated seats especially on cars with leather! I also like a nice sound system but it doesnt have to be the ML although Id prefer it to be if I had a choice. Have the pioneer setup on the IS and its good. Couldnt do without electric memory seats and memory door mirrors either now, I have a different setting for motorway and town driving, prefer a wider viewing angle on the motorway. Hence, no NX for me!

    As above, thats crazy mileage. In the tests that a german magazine did, the CT was solid at 100k but nearly double that is something new altogether, I wouldn't be spending £6k on something with 190k miles, you're better off getting something older but with 70k miles.

    Glad to hear it, I wasnt aware there are 2 screens for postcode. Usually I just click on destination > 2nd page > postcode and that gives full 7 digit postcode for me.

    No idea what the maximum is but if you keep the stick in there it'll only analyze the contents the first time you put it in and then will work first time. If you pull it out its a different story though!

    Its not replacing the RC-F. Its going to be the flagship so expect a price of around £80-100k. Turns out it is also coming with a new chassis which will be used on all front engine rear wheel drive cars from Lexus and a new infotainment system to replace the current one

    You'll get used to the indicator stalk. For motorways you can just give the indicator a slight tap and itll indicate 3 times and go off automatically. I assume you're pushing it too far causing it to lock and then having problems getting it to cancel

    Yep you're definitely missing something. It has full 7 digit postcode input

    You can check on Thatcham website whether it is Thatcham 1 or 2. From experience all Lexus are usually Thatcham 1 anyway

    Common issue on the IS screen. The manual states wipe with damp cloth and don't use any chemicals. What's happened is the anti reflective coating has come off. In my opinion the coating does little to help reflections so just remove it all
