  1. Cars get revised every model year though. Some of them are not apparent
  2. Just had a thought Could contact Lexus parts direct and see what the price is for comparison sake
  3. Options are that you can suck it up and just see how it goes or cancel the order. I don't see any other solution to your concern.
  4. Dodo juice supernatural leather cleaner followed by Gyeon Leather Guard
  5. The RC doesnt have one, foot brake only. I think he means on another vehicle. The Merc ones are flipping annoying. With my C-Class its electronically controlled with a button, push to engage, pull to disengage. What I dont understand is, why it doesnt just do it automatically when its put into Park
  6. I can only put it down to laziness. On a forum you dont actively have to look at the replies until a later time whereas with a manual you actively have to look through it. To be fair, the manual might be big but its quite easy to follow and understand. Additionally the pdf version, you can search for words and is even quicker to navigate around than the paper one.
  7. Depends really. If theres a price change for the MY23 and you get a MY23 model they'll increase the cost of the vehicle as it wont be locked in. Its a similiar thing to what will be happening to the updated UX
  8. You can just contest it I suppose. Not really much you can do about cloned plates in all honesty
  9. Im sure they're probably having chip issues for the Mark Levinson system. Harman Industries which seems to own harman kardonm, Mark Levinson amongst others is having a chip crisis. Other brands have already dropped the ability to choose HK as an option and have clearly noted it may take longer for the car to arrive to thos that specified it
  10. In my opinion you're generally better off just taking it to Lexus to do especially with the minimal difference in cost. I think its £149 at Lexus Leeds and looking at ATS its £134 for the same gas. Its very unlikely that you need a proper re-gas unless its got a leak somewhere by the way
  11. I believe its a dealer only setting change.
  12. You do realise a lot of that is marketing BS right? Yes auto folding mirrors, a few spot welds here and there with a larger touch screen system Fundamentally it's the same vehicle that looks exactly the same on the outside. It's being marketed as a facelift which it's not, it's an update at best. Sort of like how BMW and VW have their MY changes.
  13. If you stopped posting back to back (and without your own text as a quote) we might be able to see what you're saying. Personally I think you're having some trouble reading yourself. You clearly replied stating manufacturers have no monopoly to a post where I explicitly mentioned an extended warranty If you don't know, don't reply for the sake of it Besides, if you're talking about manufacturers warranty your replies are irrelevant, unneeded and clog the thread up as the OPs car is coming up to 6 years old
  14. Utter rubbish. I suggest you do some research before spewing out misinformation only applies to manufacturer warranties from new and as I mentioned before, doesnt apply to extended warranties so they can put whatever t&cs they like for these
  15. Not true. If it's Lexus / any other manufacturer extended warranty they can chose whatever they like to refuse a claim depending on their own T&Cs So in essence if they say in the T&C's that you need to show evidence of licking the Lexus badge, you better get taking those photos!
  16. Very nice Not too far then. Certainly the grill looks interesting
  17. Some use auto-pricing which looks at the market and then adjusts accordingly.
  18. The number plate seems to be a big one. Happened on nearly all of my RXs and fixed with felt pads behind the plate
  19. No it's not. It's a screen change and looks exactly the same outside
  20. The issue is that there wont be many people to take this on as its a very rare car in the first place. Additionally, they'll still need parts and the whole rear axle steering unit comes as a whole for the GS450h Someone in the US talked about disconnecting it and aligning the car so it just works like a normal car but no idea on how to do this. You could try these chaps. I can remember ordering an IS300h stereo unit which I couldnt find elsewhere http://www.lexusbreakers.co.uk/
  21. It's extremely unlikely that a part like this would come up on eBay or salvage yards. I think the only realistic option is to try to contact Lexus Ireland customer services and explain the cost is ridiculous and nearly 50% of the cars value . Lexus do have a scheme to keep cars on the road and I think they should subsidise it.
  22. Theoretically they dont need changing until atleast 60k The issue is that they are recommended on the service schedule to be changed at the 6year/60k service so yes, despite not needing a change, probably best to do it anyway. Our IS300h was a low mileage car and had 20k on when it got to 6 years. Luckily at that point in time Lexus Essential Care existed, so I just opted for the major service and no spark plugs as theyre an extra £150 on that particular scheme. Unfortunately, they got rid of the essential care now
  23. I'm on mobile doesn't show locations but I was assuming based on this being a .co.uk site and last time I checked Ireland used euros not GBP? Some clarification required from OP
  24. On Lexus Website. Does the car have full Lexus service history according to the timelines as that may be the deciding factor. Lexus UK contact the dealer directly and find out what the issue is and if their willing to subsidise it etc
