  1. Result!! Any chance of letting us know how much of a discount you got off the "listed" price?. Got to say £27147 is a right awkward number lol
  2. Azure blue is the new blue with a silver base coat similiar to Sonic Red. Its supposedly a lot shinier. Sky blue is brighter than than the Ultra blue.
  3. I agree. I have test driven the RX450h F-Sport and yes its much improved from my current one. The interior quality is faultless IMO and the engine/motor combination feels more punchy (probably down to the new CVT and marginal increase in power). Doing slightly better MPG in it too about 2-3mpg more and can easily get 30mpg in daily driving and 36mpg on the motorway. Firmness of the ride feels the same as mine but it does handle a lot better. The only issue Im having is the size. The RX feels big for me currently especially down narrow roads when going on home visits. I'll need to test one over a few days (ill get my hands on it in June when my RX goes in for the service) to see if the length is going to be problematic
  4. You could always go for a slightly older one. It's not going to make any difference, in fact the 2015s actually have less power than the 2013/14 ones lol They detuned the engine slightly to push emissions down to 107g/km on F Sport models and increase efficency. The dealers dont play much ball though, expect £1k at most on the used cars so look for cars £1k higher than the budget you have in mind.
  5. Probably is lol - hate that thing! Wife's IS had it on full and it just sounded odd, now its dead silent with it off, only when accelerating VERY hard does it intrude and even then, nowhere near as bad as diesels
  6. Nope but apparently they had on their system that I am interested in an RX450H F-Sport so they gave me a call saying they had it on for £54k if I was interested. I took a look at the Lexus used website and they've put it up on there too. They'd probably give me £22-24k for mine I reckon but Im not sure whether I like the black.
  7. Literally how many posts have been liked by other members
  8. That's only on used cars which have been bought brand new by a customer though. Its different for ex-demo vehicles as the dealers claim VAT back. Therefore when selling they have to charge the full 20% VAT as the car is then tagged as VAT qualifying.
  9. Never had any trouble from RRG group myself and Ive visited all four branches and bought cars from 2 of them including servicing. TBF to them, 2 months is a long time especially if the car is parked outside. When my wife's IS had a little prang, the metal underneath rusted within 3 days and no advisories on the MOT would suggest it happened afterwards But its sorted out anyway thats the main thing.
  10. Thats great MPG! Looks sharp too - very clean example!
  11. That colour though is just awesome. I love the new Sonic White - defo the best colour in the Lexus palette at the moment but I still think the shadow chrome effect wheels on the Premier look better than the gloss black ones.
  12. Lexus Bolton just tried selling me an RX450h F-Sport in Graphite Black with Red leather, ML, HUD and panoramic sunroof for £54k. I think thats £3k off list if im not mistaken.
  13. The VAT doesn't change. You still have to pay VAT on used cars - its not something you can get out of. The dealers have to pay this VAT to the tax man therefore they charge it to you. You can ask any dealer and they will tell you that VAT is something which customers cannot get out of. The Whatcar depreciation tool is completely inaccurate and only a fool would use this. The values I can see on whatcar depreciation tool are trade prices i.e what you will get if you trade the car in and not a reflection of "buying price". It also doesn't take into account any options. No one in their right mind would buy an IS F-Sport with no options on it. The majority have leather seats and premium nav which are more desirable and therefore may hold its value better. There's not many 15 plate IS F-Sports on autotrader which are being sold by non-franchise dealers and usually the only reason its not at Lexus is because its condition is either poor or its not got FLSH which Lexus requires to be able to sell it. In other words a Lexus IS300h F-Sport with no options may lose £5k in its first year, that doesn't mean an IS300h F-Sport with premium Nav and leather seats is going to lose £5k, it may lose more or less depending on desirability. These are the figures I have got from the various "accurate" valuation sites on the basis of March 2015 registration IS300h F-Sport PremiumNav/Leather seats with 10k miles. Bear in mind some only do 64 plate cars whilst others on give values for private sales. 1) CAP - £25600-£26700 *** PRIVATE sale price depending on condition***. Expect £2-3k more at a dealer - so a car in excellent condition = £28700-£29700 and of course this will only go up with less miles on the clock. 2) Parkers are saying £27,775 on a 15 plate with 10k miles. Again this would vary depending on mileage and colour combo 3) Whatcar are saying £27516 for a franchised dealer for 11k miles, again subject to go up if lower mileage or down if higher mileage. 4) Autotrader - £26820 to £29640 for a dealer. Id presume franchised dealer will be on the higher end close to £29640. Its also worth remembering that although the values set by independent companies are things that all buyers look up, they don't necessarily apply. The reason for this is because the majority of Lexus vehicles under 3 years old are at franchised dealers who can almost control the depreciation if they wish to do so. Gang, you have to remember that depreciation is based solely upon list price. Therefore although the car may depreciate £5k in the first year, if you have already got a £5k discount it'll be a net loss of £0 for the seller so no depreciation for him. However, having said that, to a buyer it will show up as £5k off list and therefore £5k depreciation. Its all a matter of perspective......
  14. I think you might struggle with that budget. Bear in mind that the F-Sport versions are holding their value better than the Premier's from what I can see. Sep 2013 with 20k miles on are on for £22k and the used car allowance is usually £500-1000. Don't expect to get anything more than £1k off the used cars at dealers. The two popping up are http://usedcars.lexus.co.uk/used-IS/IS-300h/2.5-F-Sport/Leicester/3627529-605500072-1609628.aspx?srcmdc=se_na_re_ http://usedcars.lexus.co.uk/used-IS/IS-300h/2.5-F-Sport/Swindon/3627529-605498834-1607041.aspx?srcmdc=se_na_re_ As you can see they are both 14 or 64 plate vehicles. Realistically speaking you'd have to set aside £30k for a 15 plate and its highly unlikely you'll find one with 17k miles on as they mostly have about 6-10k on them. Don't forget that these things cost £37k when new so you're still getting a hefty discount off list price.
  15. Just buy it before April 2017 and you'll be alright i.e buy it in March 2017 LOL What colour and spec you looking for? I'll take a look and see if any pop up.
  16. Yes, the wiper arm itself is the metal variety with the standard hook. The blade itself is the OEM hybrid blade It on and off, lower temperature does seem to make it worse though and much more noticeable.
  17. I asked my dealer lol - he said there's not really a waiting list as such - not like the NX anyway. The Sonic T demo with black leather is at every dealer. The Black/Black F-Sport is the RX200T demo which will take years to sell! lol. Lexus Birmingham (Vantage group) are listing their RX F-Sport for £54950 so £1k+ off list price as it has the HUD, Pan roof and protection pack.
  18. Hey Richard. Apologies for my late reply. The mouse sensitivity can be changed in the menu. It depends on how you like it. Personally I like the feedback all the way on (there are multiple settings for it). The voice command is fully dependent on accent. It picks up things I say most of the time but you do have to raise your voice and be quite slow when talking to it. Postcode is the best bet for the sat nav, it works 100% of the time with postcode input which is actually on the 2nd page after clicking destination.
  19. It must be the tension as it squeaks in light rain like its got too much pressure on the glass on the drivers side. I don't feel confident enough to go removing it but when I wash it I'll try and see where the problem lies and if there is any noticeable difference in tension on the drivers side.
  20. Been getting 3 lines across my windscreen on the drivers side recently. The drivers side wiper also squeaks if there is a slight mist whereas the passenger side one is fine. When looking at the glass it looks like this in the rain (except with only 3 lines): Now OK I thought, needs a new wiper. Well hey ho, I bought a refill and it does the same thing. How do I get rid of this? Its like something is dragging along the 3 lines even though the wipers are clean.
  21. There obviously isn't, maybe in the US but not here. Each dealer has sold maybe 1 or 2, maybe 3 at the most.
  22. You could always take the car back and demand money back as they've just lied to make a sale.
  23. I think lexus have realised that the roller one is a PITA for rattles if it's not closed. The slider ones don't open when you open the boot either. The 2004 RX had a slider one that opened when the boot did but apparently the idea was shunned as people ripped/damaged them when it opened and caught something
  24. Sounds like you've been having fun! Which spec did they give you a drive in? The Premier and F Sport (so long as you get premium nav) has reversing camera. I don't think many cars in the premium exec class have auto high beams though?
  25. It was the diesel being tested. Volvo charge an extortionate amount for the T8. Whatever it gains in mpg it'll lose twice in depreciation anyway due to its starting price Looking at the MPG on the XC90 diesel I can't understand why they didn't just go for a V6 Diesel. The Q7 does 30mpg and it's a V6 with alot more oomph
