  1. Shaks is crap, they're all ex-rentals which is probably why they won't show you the service history lol.
  2. My 54 plate RX had beige leather and it wasnt too bad to be honest. The trick to keeping pale leather unmarked is a good leather cleaner and sealant. Dodo juice do a Leather sealant and cleaner kit (which is awesome BTW) and can be had for around £25. When I say its good, it shifts biro off leather so has absolutely no issues with jean dye transfer. Id say go for it! Light leather is nowhere near as bad as people make out - all depends on how you care for it. Obviously if you leave it for 4 years with no cleaning it'll look filthy but then the Dodo Juice shifted 10 years of grime on my dad's leather seats so its all good.
  3. All facelift models have DRLs. The cars with LSD have a blue bit at the bottom of the steering wheel. Id assume the facelift happened somewhere mid year. The one in Cheltenham seems more up your alley.
  4. For the performance car that it is, yes. Mercedes charge a bomb for C63s as do BMW for M3s
  5. Does look good! Let us know how it drives compared to the IS250 you had before!
  6. Porsche has started giving discounts recently but not much. About £3k off a Cayenne (but then its been around a while) and of course, nothing off a Macan due to demand. Lexus is currently only giving £1k off a new RX, this will probably go to about £4-6k around November! Talking about warranty though, Im sure Lexus Australia give 4 years?!!
  7. On cars of that age and mileage you're better off going with an independent anyway, especially at the mileage you're doing each year. The prices should be about half of what Lexus charge you. It won't make much difference come resale time either for the car. The only reason I have the RX and soon the IS on Lexus service plans is because they are too new with average mileage that it'd make resale extremely difficult if I got them done at independents.
  8. It depends on the model for example there was barely any difference on the IS 3rd gen whereas I can hear some difference in the RX 3rd gen. Havent tested the 4th Gen RX one out back to back yet though. The only way you'll know is if you listen to it. However, if the car is already fitted with it and you like the car - obviously just buy it :)
  9. Prices have gone up but its been a while. £30 and £20 up for the RX! Can't remember what the price used to be on the IS-F but it wasn't £545. BTW its still worth remembering that £545 is the "capped" price. If you haggle you'll get a discount, if you get a service plan, you'll get discount too. Back when I got my service plan for the RX it was £245 and £425. I paid for my first service which was £190 and I bought a service plan for £990 which included 2 full services and 1 minor from RRG Stockport. Saved about £200. The plan is actually useable across all RRG sites so Im currently using it at Bradford which is closer! Of course the service plan gives me 10% off everything including MOT and Tyre fitting etc.
  10. Great to hear! They are great cars - the general review reading public doesn't understand but hey ho. You can turn the voice off completely in the settings - I cant remember exactly how but its definitely there!
  11. There's one in Bolton - its not a demo but a cancelled order I think which has the HUD, ML and Pan roof - only issue is, its Graphite Black!
  12. And thats the Premier! I'll most likely be going F-Sport :P Going ex-demo this time I think but all the one's ive seen so far have the ICE in the rear and I dont want that!
  13. Screw the RC-F Im more interested in the RX you have in your profile pic! :P
  14. Hey wait a minute - tar remover is quite useful for these things too if you have some. WD40 might do the trick as well, especially if its just paint on top of paint.
  15. The angle won't make much difference if its on the rear window though as the boot sticks out.
  16. £300 to get it done properly. Bet they'll make a right mess of the paint as well. Its not exactly an easy colour to match.
  17. Leasing is never greater than the depreciation costs - thats just not how it works lol - in that case the leasing companies would be losing more money than they were making! You can actually get that car for £22399 btw.
  18. At that close range, dashcam ain't going to get jack all on camera. Doesn't look like car damage either tbh - angle isn't right at all for a car to scrape it. Id bet someone hit it whilst trying to roll something like a bike, lawnmower etc behind the car.
  19. This question has been asked to death on the forum. Worth looking at the following threads: General consensus is it makes no difference. Usually the results are down to placebo or extended use (more than 5k miles of consecutive use). Even tests on dino's are flawed as there are too many variables to get a proper reading such as outside temperature etc etc.
  20. Claying doesn't strip a surface of the paint off, instead it takes off bits from the surface of the paint. Its like shaving your face - think of the contamination as hairs and the clay bar/mitt as the razor. It takes off the contaminants and makes the paint smooth.
  21. The one in my 54 RX300 was one touch - you pulled the switch backwards and it opened fully. If you hit it forward when open, it would close completely. The tilt buttons used to do just that i.e. tilt to max and then when hit again, fully closed.
  22. Apparently the car has Full service history - obviously we know that isnt true. From memory of it popping up before on the forum, its got budget tyres on and of course the wheels look questionable - they're the wrong colour for a start.
  23. Take a look at the battery to see if the original one with japanese wording on it. Things like this tend to happen a lot with terminals being loose on batteries and all sorts.
  24. Yep needed doing on my RX at 7 years old too. Mileage doesn't affect them btw, its more to do with time.
  25. Stay away - its got all sorts wrong with it. Been on for absolutely ages because no one wants to buy it
