  1. Main points of interest are the new platform, updated infotainment and 3 drivetrain options : RX350h, RX450h+ and RX500h The RX500h will be a performance orientated version with direct 4 AWD, 2.4L Turbo engine with hybrid drivetrain for 367hp and 0-60mph in 5.9s. It also comes with a conventional automatic transmission and not a CVT unlike its hybrid counterparts
  2. You need both really. So the PPF will go on the front and the ceramic coat on top. Otherwise the water behaviour will be different front to back
  3. Nice beading. Did you allow it to cure for 12 hours before getting wet? The newer EVO coating range state to not get wet for 12 hours whereas I can remember the one I used was 24 hours but was an older coating.
  4. Its pretty much impossible to determine whether it sounds normal or not from a video due to different microphones picking up different sounds. Take it to a mechanic
  5. Take it to a detailer and get a ceramic coating put on to protect the paint. The front bumper and bonnet likely will need PPF to protect it from stone chips too.
  6. They look fine. Would be OK until illegal I reckon but obviously keep an eye on it
  7. Yep there is and itll be a smallish crossover but much lower than a standard crossover type vehicle. Likely Yaris Cross size overall.
  8. just copy and paste the full link
  9. Theyre all pretty crap apart from the boxes. Seem to get worse as time goes on and then let the signal through although not to the same extent as if the key was exposed. For example I can open my car when standing right next to it using the handle but if I press the buttons from 2m away it doesnt work.
  10. But then how often should they be communicating this. Sales staff do outline these extended times and I suppose expect you to call if you want an update. I know with VAG group the build week keeps changing every day at the moment jumping all over the place and this would only confuse matters if communicating this to customers
  11. There is no strategy as its out of the dealerships hands. They can't control how quickly the vehicle is built or gets here. The salesman should tell you with regard to the timescales: Expected delivery at time of order with the proviso that it could change, likely be extended by a few months possibly even into 12 months depending on vehicle When the vehicle has arrived with them When you want to collect the vehicle Anything else is really just dependant on the salesman but would be meaningless information regardless as they simply don't know when itll arrive. Some may tell you that its been built and is on its way. I've had about 5 Lexus over the past 18 years amongst Mercedes, VW, Jaguar etc. Once you put the order in you kind of just forget and reach out if you want personally want an update. Its almost like waiting for an appointment in the NHS - they dont exactly provide updates on how far you've gone up the queue, or when you'd receive one, and its still treated like the countrys most amazing asset!
  12. Most dealers will give correct delivery times at the point of ordering. Because of the volatile situation currently including the earthquakes in Japan and Russian war its meaning that the delivery dates and build dates are constantly changing and that means that it is increasinly likely that it will increase and not reduce. Bear in mind I have a VW Golf on order since Dec 2021 which has had build weeks 11, 23, 44, 39 that I know of and almost everything in between. Additionally, because of the new car issues - they're dealing with multiple customers a day when it comes to used cars. Typically a decent used car will get 5-10 queries a week. In some BMW dealerships, they're getting 15-20 enquiries a day one one vehicle which encompasses test drives amongst financing enquiries etc. Theres no real lack of availability of used cars whatsoever - there is plenty of stock, its just that most people know that they aren't going to pay the prices theyre commanding right now. I think 3-4 days for an email is fine - then call if needed. I would only really ask for an update on the vehicle once a month in reality.
  13. Chasing the car up is not going to make any difference. The problem is that it creates a lot of extra work when people are constantly contacting for updates on their vehicle which diverts time and attention from other things. Just wait and see it through The new car market is very volatile at the moment and realistically no one really knows when the car will turn up
  14. It looked like a coach to me at first. On doing more research seems to be a Bluebus by Bollore which have since been withdrawn due to two fires. Apparently it has batteries in the roof and the rear section where the engine would originally be. There doesnt appear to be any space under the floor as the majority of it is flat until just before the rear wheels and its too close to the ground - It also has air suspension so that it can accommodate kerbs of different heights so maybe a risk of bottoming out Its using solid state batteries with a range of 320km
  15. It might be for luggage.
  16. Its a new system - there will be some teething issues. Updates will take some time - id say a few months Mercedes have had their app out for years and it still doesnt unlock and lock the car!
  17. Cant imagine that being a write off unless you go to insurer I think a second hand light unit and wing could sort that out fairly easily.
  18. I would take the RX any day. The NX feels a bit lethargic. I dont have any issues driving the RX, its very easy to drive. Id say its easier to drive than an equivalent length saloon as you can look down and see where the kerbs, ditches and small humans are.
  19. It's said 400km in other markets for the UX300e since 2019. If you search Google with Lexus ux300e 400km you can see the dates of the articles
  20. Definitely dont Some of them are poor quality and corrode which can be a pain And above else, I would definitely have a deflated tyre than a damaged tyre. Ive seen all sorts including biros used to puncture tyres
  21. Yes you can Just remove identifiable and financial information I've not heard anything about it. And it seems extremely odd as it'll basically have the range as the RZ
  22. There's no way they'd be able to get 250 miles out of it. There's no where to put extra battery packs to increase the range tbh unless they put more into the boot and make it smaller Are you sure they don't mean the RZ
  23. That's a good option and I would definitely get rid of the insurance and dash cams They'll be half the price of Lexus cost elsewhere anyway
  24. They've been offering brochures and price lists since launch? 🤔
