Lexus have used a new way of measuring the RX boot i.e everything under the cover. They dont count whats above it for some reason. You probably won't notice 22l though, its not a huge amount really and you have to be stuffing the car to the gills with stuff for it to count.

I don't think so, they usually just have their own demos in the colour combos and spec they think will sell quickest when they want to get rid. I had another look. It's defo blue/noble brown but just realise it's a luxury with pan roof and ICE as its £52k not £62k! :/ And it's sitting in the Lexus Leeds showroom, not Birmingham. The Vantage fb site is just confusing lol

16 RX bootspace is actually bigger than the NX's and same size as the 2014 RX though!

Hey mate, I was browsing facebook as you do and it appears Lexus Birmingham have a blue/noble brown (not completely sure as I cant see the interior that well) Premier in their showroom - might be worth a look? List was £62k so id assume its got the ICE too. The prices don't really matter, its just the cost to change you want to keep an eye on. I usually just tell them straight up that I have a car to P/X and I want a fair value for it and I also want a discount off the car they are selling. They either play ball or don't and you can quickly find out the guys who are willing to go for a sale. I talked to 4 different dealers in 2012. I ended up getting a 10% discount + fair part exchange and some freebies such as the rear rubber mat and plastic protection plate but I think its because it was a facelift and not an all new model. I talked to Stockport, Manchester, Bradford and Leeds. Bradford were owned by WMG at the time and they were talking about £4700 for my RX300 and £3k off the RX450h. Manchester and Leeds gave better deals but Stockport eventually gave £5k + £5250 for my RX 3 months after I had talked to Bradford! Ive got way too much going on at the moment, too much debt due to new health centre build :O. Might have to delay purchasing :( On the bright side, my RX is still alive and going strong and just passed the 36k mark and managing 35mpg on the motorway! :D On the bright side, there may be better discounts about at that point!

You cant fit roof bars to the panoramic roof as its just one piece of glass, there's no roof bar holes. You can only fit the roof bars to cars with roof rails, including the ones with the normal sunroof (just dont open it whilst the roof rails are there as the sunroof opens outwards)

Yep, looked at that one, seems a nice colour combo too - black with ivory leather.

1) Roof rails can be fitted to any RX without a panoramic sunroof. Looking at the ones with panoramic sunroof on the Lexus used website, none of them seem to have roof rails. Having said that, the roof rails look a bit naff IMO anyway due to their "fake aluminium" plastic look which doesn't match the chrome on the car 2) The panoramic roof does eat into headroom as well but again, only you can decide whether its enough of a problem. 3) From what I can remember the specs are as follows - Advance - everything from luxury + sunroof/panoramic roof + Mark Levinson stereo + Mercury grey front grill splitter + dark silver wheels F-Sport - Everything from luxury + stiffer suspension + HUD + Darkened wheels. IMO the HUD is absolutely awesome. I cant remember the last time I looked down to check the speed and it also shows navigation, gear selection etc etc. The stiffer suspension leads to more stability at speed and its much flatter around the corners (night and day with the RX300, I had one!). The downside is the ride is obviously stiffer but it depends on what you want. Premier - Vented seats (not even that good, don't work as well as in the new RX) + HUD + Mark Levinson + kerb view + air suspension If you want the better ride comfort but OK handling then Id say the pick of the range in terms of value is the Advance model. If you want better handling then go for the F-Sport. Of course if you want all the gadgets then Premier is your best bet but a good example can be hard to find. On a side note, if you get an NX, be prepared to rag it as it doesn't cope well with hills (the NX300h). I live in an area with a lot of hill too and when I drove the NX300H, it was constantly revving quite high due to needing a lot of gas and this inevitably lead to 25mpg!

You'll need an OBDII bluetooth adapter and something like the Carista app which works very well.

Use either SRP or White diamond. They are both pretty much the same thing. The 845 would be OK if you are using the SRP or WD to polish the paint but if you're using them for filling it'll remove the fillers being solvent based

Looking fine but just a word of advice: 1) SRP fills, cleans and masks and therefore using white diamond on top is not worth doing really. 2) Collinite 845 is solvent heavy i.e. its going to remove the fillers in the glaze and SRP

It probably does work but it depends on if you want to go to the trouble of getting it done. Of course, with things like this, you always end up finding that its stopped working when it goes wrong and something bad happens i.e. an accident at 70mph

Lexus Nottingham will change the tyres if you get them to. They are fairly lenient with that sort of stuff. However, my dealer told me they can't sell an approved used car with less than 6mm on the tyres anyway but I dont know if its just my dealer or a Lexus thing

Good review. I would like an NX due to the more manageable size but there are some serious issues which are stopping me. 1) The drivetrain. I can probably train myself to deal with it but coming from a 450h, I feel like I'll miss the power 2) MPG - I do short trips everyday apart from Wednesdays and Sundays. I get 28-30mpg in my RX and on longer journeys I get 33-35mpg (In Sport mode!!!). The minimal difference in MPG would make me question the power difference. Id be going for the 200t as the MPG doesn't matter that much. 3) I like the look of the F Sport but it's not available with memory seats or HUD which I have now 4) we take the RX on long trips and are a family of 5. The Mrs (5 ft 4) sits in the middle between the two naughty ones whilst my oldest son sits in the front (6 ft 2). She complained that the middle seat belt annoyed her when using it and honestly it annoys me in the rear view mirror too. Due to less width it gets tight back there too 5) feels cocooned inside like the IS. I like the RX more as there's more width. I prefer width in SUVs but like the cocooned feeling in cars. 6) not sure if I like the hatch cover. Seems wierd not to use the roller from RX I feel Lexus UK are doing a crap job with the specs on these cars. Would be good if they sorted it out!

Yep depends on the phone age as well. It pairs up well with my HTC one but not that good with my wife's honor 7 which is newer

Most likely to shift unsold cars. The ones they give deals on are undesirable anyway. Nobody wants an A4 Sport, they want S Line Nobody buys a passat all track. They just look daft

This is in Lexus UK's own words: "Hi Rayaan, Toyota or Lexus have never issued colour codes for alloy wheels. The wheels are produced by an independent manufacturer to Toyota. The final colour can vary depending on what process has been applied at the time of painting. The wheel refurbishers TGB have used for many years were never able to obtain the colour codes for the wheels and they had to invest a lot of time and money to replicate the colour, however this has never been 100% accurate and it was always recommended that all 4 wheels were refurbished to ensure a match. There is a possibility that a paint supplier or bodyshop may have a spectrometer to analyse the colour and produce a colour code close (but not exact) to your requirements. Thats because most refurb places use 1 colour to refurb the wheels. The original wheels have a silver base coat with dark grey stuck on top which gives the titanium effect and hence why its quite hard to match because its actually got 3 layers altogether including the clear coat. Getting them finished like original i.e 2 different paints usually costs abouto £100 a wheel.

Get them to update the software. Although yours is a 2015 registration, its likely that the car came with an older software than the one currently available. They'll do it free of charge anyway and should only take 10 mins or so.

If they were free then it doesn't matter if they wear out quick. As with all low profile tyres, I think the trick to not kerbing the car is A - not going anywhere near a kerb or B - if you have to go up a kerb then take the whole car in at an angle. In terms of the dash, get them to give you a written guarantee that if you find any rattles after its been put back that they'll sort them all out free of charge. I think thats the only way to really go about it.

Wont be the alignment if the car goes straight. Id be inclined to think its the steering rack. Hit any big potholes or kerbs recently? Oh no you didn't really go for the continentals did you? They have very poor wear, you'll be needing replacements in 10-12k miles!

No paint code for the F-Sport wheels. Even then, there's a good chance they've already been refurbed if you bought the car used and therefore unlikely to be the real colour anyway. 1E3 Phantom Grey is a decent match but only on small areas, don't go around the whole rim with it and you should be OK. The reason for there being no code is because the wheels are made and painted by a supplier who won't release details on the colour to Lexus

Something that many people don't understand is that even if the part is OEM, it still has to be declared if the OEM part was put on after leaving the factory. Some insurance companies are also realising that a BMW 5 series for example can be worth £35k or £45k depending on options and therefore, they are now getting customers to declare all options.

Except theres a new RX out which was out before you got the NX?! WHATTT?! Not making any sense in how the RX looks aged compared to the X5 and Q7?! The NX isn't even available with memory seats or HUD on the F-Sport and the seatbelt coming from the roof certainly annoys me (definition of bad design).

NO!! Wax/Sealant is the final step! You don't want the Autoglym SRP washing off in 3 weeks do you? Stick some protection on and it'll be 3 months+ depending on the wax/sealant you choose!
