  1. Can't see why not although it may be overbearing. You probably want to use the intake first and see if youre happy with it and then proceed
  2. Luxury spec 65 plate 4RX will hit £40k possibly at some point before the year ends. Most likely nov/Dec as they're already about £45k. Don't expect to get a huge discount on them though as they'll already be heavily discounted at that time of year and most likely ex demos
  3. The only issue with that is if you get it paid for, damage the bumper by your own means accidently and then claim on the guy who hit you It's happened before and I'd say best to go with insurance company to try and reduce fraud instead of getting them to pay up.
  4. Only report it if you've used an insurance company for repairs. So yes in your case you will have to inform your insurance company. Personally I would have got all details, tried polishing it and if it came out just left it, otherwise claimed. Only reason being is that your insurance will go up so I'd avoid claiming at all costs!
  5. I think the grill is just plug and play on the CT. Just buy one and change the unit out.
  6. No mate you don't want to touch it with a machine polish, the C1 will come off. Im afraid youll just have to leave it, unless you arent too fussed?
  7. Except you can get it from the likes of Broadspeed and Autoebid without resorting to waiting for offers and there's £4-5k off an IS at those anyway! Broadspeed have always had a discount on NX too, albeit only £700 but its still better than what carwow were offering
  8. Well, atleast it wont depreciate
  9. http://www.carmagazine.co.uk/car-reviews/comparison/2016/more-than-enough-lexus-rx-vs-volvo-xc90-vs-audi-q7-car-april-2016/ RX Premier goes against the XC90 T8 R-design and Q7 3.0TDI S-line. The idea being that its hybrid vs plug in hybrid vs diesel. Very thoughtful review IMO and bangs the nail on the head in terms of the RX. Shows the flaws of the Q7 and XC90 that other magazines "conveniently" leave out too. Its a free article so just register, no need to subscribe to read it - its quite long though (but very detailed)
  10. I would say its like that. Id say its more like smokers going to E-cigs. There's no hard evidence of E-cigs actually being more beneficial in the long run. Trials have begun but out of like 20, there's only 1 with results! https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/results?term=e+cigarettes&Search=Search
  11. I dont mind doing one either - PM me the details too
  12. If I ever manage to get one somehow lol 😂
  13. My dealer is now doing price match! Any garage within 5 miles and they'll match the quote like for like! Tell you what, if I ever make enough cash to get myself a Lexus franchise, ill look after you all 😂
  14. Car wow sucks. They don't show any discount on the new RX when Broadspeed can get £2700 off
  15. They heat up fine. Same in my RX. Bloody hell though the new RX heaters are another level though
  16. I can't bring myself to buy an electric car. Just doesn't make sense to me at the moment. Maybe when it has a 600 mile range and makes a cool noise like the Audi R8 e-tron. There's no sense of speed when entering turns on a B road in an electric car whatsoever
  17. No you cant. Its a safety feature and could be the difference between someone banging their head on it and not. BTW the door doesn't stop once it starts if anything is trapped inside so you'd rather not turn it off even if there is a way
  18. £3k off a Premier at Broadspeed now. Id assume that'll only go up to like £5-6k after September.
  19. Broadspeed are using Lexus Glasgow at the moment too.
  20. Not much to actively look out for but Ive seen some with brown, rusting calipers - make sure the dealer changes these as they look rubbish. Hasn't happened on mine and I have 36k on mine at the moment so I guess it shows it hasnt been washed much or left to rot after road salt! BMW servicing is quite expensive on the X5 and I forgot about the huge run flat tyres which make a lot of noise and are very expensive to change. They wear out quick too. Also, due to the thinner tyres on the RX, its actually better in poor weather like snow compared to an X5 which has trouble on moderately steep hills in this kind of weather. Luxury - has pretty much everything you need F-Sport gives you heads up display, sporty body kit + LED headlights and better handling with a slightly stiffer ride Premier gives you everything from the Luxury + Mark levinson stereo, air suspension, heads up display, kerb view + LED headlights etc I usually stay away from cars with air suspension but the mileage is so low that its probably not a concern anyway. In terms of the headlights, yes the LED's are absolutely awesome. I can't fault them in any way and they are much better than the HID's. The Premier has semi-aniline leather - slightly softer but needs more maintenance
  21. Sounds good. Nothing to worry about with a DA machine though. They stop spinning if you put too much pressure on it and you CAN'T cause any damage unless you physically wack it on the car. It's the orbital machines that cause damage I use AG SRP with medium polishing pads on machine. Fills very well. If you do go round to the machine route, use sonax Perfect finish on a medium polishing pad. It'll get rid of all those swirls and leave the paint perfect!
  22. Mileage isn't an issue on these cars. The beige interior isn't hard to keep on top of in terms of leather cleaning. The carpets get dirty really easily though so ask for some rubber ones. Should be able to get the premier down to £30k too if you want. X5 is very different. Ride is harder but it handles better and be aware that it's a much bigger car. Diesel engines are gruff. May be associated with "BMW ******" looks from people Q7 interior quality is great but the outside is just horrendous. Looks like a pig. Need the 272ps engine for a good balance. The 218ps feels underpowered and is less refined. Has generally rubbish reliability. Had 2 older ones and have 1 new one in the family. Id say go for the new RX. It's awesome!
  23. Yes but that speaker has very little power anyway. It's just a tweeter type speaker. The real sound should be coming from the bottom door speakers and subwoofer at the back
  24. I get 35mpg in my RX on a long run. And 30mpg in town. Engine won't turn on unless it's got no charge and I can actually run it longer in EV more than the IS which struggles to pick up speed as fast in EV The model S has a crap interior quality worthy of a £30k car though doesn't it? Like genuinely worse than a C Class. Id rather spend time in a superb interior than worry about fuel costs
  25. I had this issue on my RX with the blade not clearing a section right in front of my eyeline I took the refill out and inserted it the other way around and it fixed it. Might be worth a go
