Query over used ISF listing
rayaans replied to dr_rick's topic in Lexus F Club - Lexus IS-F / GS-F / RC-F Club
Depends if you can live with the ride and lack of LSD. Personally the LSD doesn't matter to me as I dont track. If you're coming from a Lotus Elise S you should have no problems with the firm ride of the pre-2010 models. But you'll still have to drive the car to see if the suspension is to your tastes -
Nothing wrong with LHD lol. I wonder if the owner contacted Lexus before he sold it to Bentley lol.

Yes sort of, except a Cat D is mentioned on the V5C whereas a condition of the car is not so obvious. You'll have significant issues selling the car if you choose to do so afterwards - firstly because there isn't a huge market for them anyway and secondly because the people who buy these cars know exactly what to look for. High mileage on these isn't an issue - only you know how your S4 has panned out but when I bought a used R8 and the clutch went, they gave me an S4 to drive around in, ended up handing it back and they gave me an A8 instead due to multiple electrical issues (the S4 was like brand new as well!). The thing is - there are a few IS-F's to choose from including the one at Manchester (Owned from new by a forum member) and its not that much more expensive. Its also in excellent condition and I can vouch for that having seen it in the Manchester dealership. Frankly, even the £16k one with 99k miles looks a good buy compared to the one you've posted. If you're really set on the colour combo, Id be looking towards the other blue ones at Coventry and Cheltenham. Being a press car isn't a concern, the cars are genuinely bulletproof but it does mean they have higher mileages than normal but again, I wouldn't be worried about that. Being a press car does unfortunately mean that some cars aren't given the services that they need! The colour of the wheels should actually be darker - they've been refurbed and you'd have to check the quality of it to ensure no bubbling etc. You'd struggle to get the car on Lexus warranty - they'll probably just take a look at the service history and refuse. -
Cant make an IS250 faster unless you start going to superchargers. It really is as simple as that

Got you mate! Ok next time, instead of going nav > destination > address, go to nav > destination > now look for something near the top that says 1/2 and click it to go on 2nd page > then click postcode. You should get full 7 digit postcode providing you input the format correctly depending on if it's 6 or 7 digits. I very rarely use the "address" button
-
Ok so to confirm.... you are pressing nav - destination - page 2 - postcode and then putting the post code in?

My RX uses 2 bulbs and I think the IS LED lights use 2 as well, not just a single one on each side. But ooft the ones on the new RX being 3 bulbs on each side are light a beam of white lasers!

All modern Lexus vehicles support 7 digit postcode entry. For example if you have 7 digit postcode such as BD12 3FU, put it into the Sat Nav like BD123FU i.e continuously. For a 6 digit postcode like BD3 3FU, you have to put it in like BD3space3FU. Try it, I bet that was the problem!!

Exactly right sir! Like all reviewers they tend to trash the vehicle leading to the "CVT whine" which isnt evident in normal driving. Not having a diesel in the range and how detrimental that is is a matter of opinion, I think most Lexus owners agree that the hybrid is more refined than any diesel and has less problems regarding DPF and Adblue for example

my is200t f sport in azure blue
rayaans replied to Chris.S's topic in Lexus IS 300h / IS 250 / IS 200t Club
It shines more than the Ultra blue. Its weird in that under full light, the Azure blue looks lighter whereas in dim light it looks darker than Ultra blue. Whilst the Ultra blue is a 3 stage paint, Azure blue is a 4 stage paint with a silver coat included, just like the Sonic red. -
Michelin PILOT SPORT 4

Id say thats a fairly easy decision to make - Uniroyals! Cheaper and awesome looking tread pattern ha! If you have unmarked wheels - take the car to Lexus. They'll be expensive but if they damage your rim, they'll have no choice but to fix it. My Lexus dealer fitted my tyres for £50 lol - all 4! I was so shocked by the quoted price I actually asked 4 times to make sure haha! And of course, no chunks taken out of my rims as they washed the car afterwards and removed all the tyre gunk so I knew exactly what the wheel looked like. If they are already marked then go to your local independent and get them to fit tyres on - however, I'd be looking at finding a tyre fitter before ordering tyres as tyre fitters are hard to find nowadays - they make a healthy chunk of profit on tyres and therefore can refuse to fit your own tyres. -

RX400h front tyre wear
rayaans replied to kevmo's topic in RX 300 / RX 350h / RX 400h / RX 200t / RX 450h+ / RX 500h Club
Also, look out for vibrations - could be unbalanced wheels which are wobbling around causing inner and outer wear. Apart from that, unsure what else it could be. -
RX400h front tyre wear

I do find the Jemca dealerships yo be on the low side of Lexus Customer service tbh. Edgeware road had an IS300H pop up which was in the price bracket, colour combo and spec we were looking for. Firstly their salesmen were totally incompetent as they refused to haggle having the idea that "the price is what you pay". Not only that they offered low ball price for my car (a car which I PXed to another Lexus dealer for £800 more 2 months later) and their car also had a severe crease on drivers side seat which was certainly not wear and tear. I drove 190 mlies to see a car which they said was "perfect" but it turned out it had a lot of chips and scratches that weren't properly repaired and a front bonnet alignment issue! It could be that the lower arm bushes were fine when Woodford checked the car. However if you're under warranty, I'd expect Sidcup to pick it up, tell you and then arrange a date to replace or if in stock offer to do it then and there. That's what my dealer does anyway. Severe wear of the lower arm bushes would give you some play and may cause wear but I would think it's usually on the outer edge. Could be a combination of lower arm bushes worn and poor alignment. Out of interest, what is the load rating on the tyres? Are they 235/55 r18? And do you tow by any chance? -

Not for me. Looks like a teenage boys drawing. too chavvy IMO. Id assume it's coming in the next Fast and Furious?a -
Sounds like a wiring problem. Most likely, whoever repaired your car has bodged the wiring up

Who is the supplying dealer? Just say you want it sorted otherwise you'll be sending an email to Lexus UK and naming and shaming them on Lexus Owners club so they know where they stand -

Ah just realised that my service plan includes free collection or a courtesy car. Might explain why I don't pay anything -

Mine does have a motorway screen which turns on automatically. I think you have to go on Nav - Map configuration - Motorway. It only comes on when on the motorway of course. -
RX400h front tyre wear
rayaans replied to kevmo's topic in RX 300 / RX 350h / RX 400h / RX 200t / RX 450h+ / RX 500h Club
Regarding the price match, it depends on the dealer. Mine will price match cost but only from Tyre stores including fitting. They're unlikely to price match online prices as more often than note, online sellers don't have as much in terms of costs to run the place. Something worth thinking about - Is there a possibility that the camber is off on the front wheels? Therefore causing most likely outside wear on both tyres? I have a feeling someone knew about this and then swapped the front tyres around but put them on back to front on the other side as the SP270 are not directional so can be mounted any way you want which would lead to both edges being worn. Pop down to Kwik fit or something and get the alignment checked before you get any new tyres, otherwise its just going to keep occurring and will shoot through the Michelins before you reach 10k miles. I should mention that I had the SP270 which were factory fit on my RX450h and I ran them down to 2mm over 26k miles and the RX450h weighs about 200kg more than the 400h. You should be seeing around 28-30k on a set on the 400h. I actually had the opposite to you where the middle of the tyres was worn more but I prefer to run my car on 36-37 psi so I had no problem with this.
