  1. I would assume they get the parts from Lexus directly so a markup is to be expected. There may be other things that they have included pricing for including changing other parts which you may not be aware of
  2. The price of all used cars has massively gone up recently Bear in mind I got a White F-Sport with 10k miles, exactly 2 years old with the red leather and premium nav for £23k. That was from Lexus Chester Cazoo are basically selling the same vehicle with 8k miles more for £24,250 and I cant imagine 8k miles costing £5.7k on essentially the same vehicle. Take a detailed look into the service history first though as cazoo has been known to sell cars with different services than stated on their website https://www.cazoo.co.uk/car-details/e5e589cb-f7f8-5219-a9ed-4bfde2329ac3/?utm_campaign=car-listing&utm_medium=aggregators&utm_source=autotrader The autotrader valuation is rubbish by the way. It doesnt take into account any options or the condition of the vehicle so really not worth anything.
  3. Ive had a few cars with stiffer suspension and low profile tyres. Again, it doesnt really increase the risk of a puncture. My Jag had 20" wheels and the tyres were 30 profile. You cant really compare car insurance to run flats. One is compulsory, the other isnt
  4. Same argument for run flats that everyone uses but the problem is that most would wait 30 mins to an hour for roadside assistance than constantly drive on rock hard, noisy tyres, sometimes for a year or two. The risk of a puncture / catastrophic tyre event is really quite low in the grand scheme of things
  5. Yes thats right. Not sure why they didnt just include a 32amp cable though although it doesnt really affect me as the car is charged overnight anyway
  6. I get 4.6kw from my home charger and the tesco charger with the original blue cable The 3 pin plug gets me about half that
  7. Yes it will reduce road noise amongst other benefits like a softer ride, less chance of buckling a rim if hitting a pothole and theoretically greater fuel efficiency due to less weight Theyre usually cheaper to replace as well
  8. Someone has added that Lexus badge LC500 badge is correct and in the correct place. You can ask them to remove it but I'd personally just do it myself with a bit of dental floss
  9. The modern Lexus wheels dont suffer from the same problems as the older ones The 4th gen GS certainly had no issues with the wheels. Id say likely puncture, valves or the tyres themselves. What brand are they?
  10. Not exactly It was working fine for 8 months and the app updated. This caused it to keep draining the battery if left undriven for 2 days or more. Theres a software fix for this but ill get it done on the next service as I dont use connected services much anyway.
  11. The radio issue was mainly on the 2013/14 models. If you have the matt plastic trim on the AC control area, it likely wont be affected. Im not entirely sure if resetting the ECU will make any difference. It may do on a vehicle with a torque converter by re-learning shift points etc but you dont have those with a the e-cvt Poor MPG is almost entirely caused by driving habits including journey length. Obviously mechanical issues, poor fuel and different oil grades will cause it too along with tyres. If you've eliminated those you could try the battery method or pulling EFI and ETCS fuses.
  12. Lexus charge me £15 a tyre for fitting which is more than some of my local independents but not massively so.
  13. Closest ive been is looking after the people that reside there. Might be you one day
  14. Lexus usually charge £69 although they do tend to price match local kwik fit or other well known retailers. I cant see it being £150 at all tbh.
  15. I meant for those that haven't disconnected the connected services but deleted the app instead without disconnecting anything
  16. Ive just disconnected Lexus services. I think you do need disconnect it before uninstalling the app otherwise itll still technically be on
  17. I mean, you're probably closer to a care home than I am if you find it more distracting to use a fixed touch screen on a car as distracting as waving a phone about.
  18. The quality of the door cards and dash will be better than the NX. More soft touch throughout in comparison. The RX has always been this way
  19. Like I said, definitely less distracting. No more looking down at your balls, waving the phone about, letting it drop into the footwell etc
  20. The buttons are multifunctional I believe
  21. This is a decent video by Alex on Autos stepping up for Redline Reviews I can see why people think that but last time I checked, you cant hold the interior screen to your ear or move it from pocket to hand. It is massively less distracting compared to a phone.
  22. Am i seeing an air suspension button below ESC off? Looks like a raise button??
  23. Yes but the 200t was a standalone engine. These are all hybrid powertrains so have the power bar the 350h which may be a bit lethargic overall. The 450h+ is a brilliant piece of kit on the NX and would be fine for the RX too. The touch screen on the newer infotainment is very easy to use compared to the touch pad.
  24. Predictions are around £60k.
  25. It is very good albeit dependant on products. Gtechniq C5 seems to be a favourite but Im sure there are others ars well. Should last about 2 years and generally doesnt need anything but a standard car shampoo and wheel brush to clean thereafter
