  1. If you're in Yorkshire like me you'll get awful MPG just because of the hills and dips we have everywhere However, my RX is doing that kind of MPG atm!!
  2. 32mpg from wembley to Leicester and then to Birmingham and back to Yorkshire lol. Pretty pleased as I had the car in Sport mode throughout and it was loaded with passengers and luggage. I wasn't going slow either! consistent 80mph when the road was clear, sometimes more when I got frustrated after 50mph zones on the M1 Talking about those 50mph zones, they are so bloody boring that tonight I nearly managed to nod off. Sat nav was pretty good too, took some reasonable roots but it was my fault for missing a few turns in Birmingham. It's a **** place to drive around in, too many complicated junctions and exits etc
  3. Been an "eventful" trip so far. Had to do an emergency stop in the 3rd lane as an Audi A3 crashed on the opposite side of the M1 at circa 80mph sending it's bumper and loads of debris onto the third lane, 2 cars in front of me. Luckily I saw it before it landed but still needed to go from 80mph to 0mph in little time. Wakefield to Hackney got me 31 mpg. 4 adults and 1 child in the car and whole trip was in Sport mode. Car was also loaded with 30kg bags. I've reset it from wembley so will update
  4. Default setting is off due to some people sitting on their fob and waking up to a car full of rain. The dealer can programme it or if you have an OBD adapter and carista app you can play with many settings
  5. My IS turned itself off after 15 mins of listening to music on accessory mode. Displayed something on the screen next to the F Sport dial about power saving
  6. There's nothing wrong with the hybrid battery here. The seat movement, mirror movement etc is all controlled by the 12V battery in the boot. Put another battery in and your problems will disappear
  7. Actually that's a good point. You'll only need the wheel cleaner for cleaning wheels before using a wheel sealant on them. Then just use car shampoo Don't use wheel cleaner on sealed wheels as it'll strip the sealant
  8. Hope this helps https://secure.drivers.lexus.com/lexusdrivers/info/my-lexus/resources/submit-owners-manual-search?section=om&keywords=&searchType=&model=GS300&year=2000&x=12&y=12
  9. Never driven abroad so cant comment. Would be worth a try with the special characters though! Let us know how you get on
  10. I should mention it was trademarked in Europe so it could be that the UK don't actually get it whilst other markets uh as Russia do. It would make sense though especially for buyers who want the upmost refinement and low NVH levels. Whilst the NX300h is good, the engine does intrude more and has more vibration than a V6. No word on whether it is coming to the UK or not. Depends on what the tax levels are I guess and whether Lexus UK feel there is enough of a market for one. Lexus typically cater for the US market where plug in hybrids arent catching in s making one just for Europe would result in huge cost with little gain. They have a firm belief that plug in buyers buy the car just for tax savings and grants and rarely charge the cars at all
  11. Fair enough. You won't regret it tbh, very few if any do. I'll let you all know on the mpg
  12. Meh that looked knaff lmao. Owned by a lady too I believe......
  13. Agree, they wont do it if you contact Lexus HQ directly as their calls are recorded so would have job implications. My contact did have a little hiccup a while back. He told me very specific information on the new RX 6 months before it came out. I posted on here and some dimwit forum member went to Lexus Manchester and said everything! The Manager called Lexus UK and all sorts of **** went down apparently.
  14. Decided on the RX then? I dont think there was any major difference in the drivetrain though between pre-facelift and facelift models. We do get a Sport mode and oddly enough, it seems to help MPG on the motorway! I don't drive slow either. I do get quite bad MPG in town, around the 26-28mpg mark but thats down to the car not warming up fully between commuting to work and home visits etc. I'll update the MPG gauge on the car as soon as I set off from home tomorrow and ill check it when I come home on Sunday night - that should be quite a good measure of fuel economy as I'll have to go between Essex, Hackney and Wembley too so there will be some "in town" driving involved but mainly motorway.
  15. Forget the C class it rattles like crazy. Knock that off the list. The new E220d has a new engine and it's much better in terms of quietness. Interior is on another level as well
  16. All set for a good few months then!
  17. You'd be surprised to learn some "experts" don't switch the engine off to do jobs as its quicker to get it on/off ramps etc
  18. Pure motorway I got 45-48mpg and I drive pretty quick. Cruise control didn't help, mpg dropped slightly. Mine is also an F Sport albeit a 63 plate.
  19. Go for the Merc if you're doing that kind of mileage, no contest. The IS will be getting you about 45mpg MAX at that speed. Problem is the servicing will be a lot. You'll need almost 4 services in one year whereas you'll only need 2 for the Merc. You should be able to get 12k mile services if you're doing that mileage. If cost isnt an issue, Lexus all the way for me. Not a fan of how mercs all look the same now. Having said that, the diesel in the E Class which is a new unit is better than the 10 year old 2.1l they use in the C class and CLA
  20. You cant remap a Lexus mate.......
  21. Except that the wonder wheels leather clean and feed is not a leather "cleaner", its an ALL IN ONE!! As is the Meguiars OP is using currently........... And....... the Gliptone Leather cleaner doesnt have a leathery smell......... Therefore Ed, you have not answered the question as your answer is not specifically relating to a cleaner but an AIO product which through my experience, just tends to shift dirt around from one place to another giving you an impression of cleanliness and shiny seats over time, especially if the seats get some abuse. For someone that strives for perfection on every car I have, all in one products generally dont "clean" very well and after all, the OP asked for a leather "cleaner" not an AIO! Feed generally leaves a layer behind, theres no real way a leather cleaner can clean and leave a layer behind at the same time. All those dirt particles are just being layered over by the feed, grinding into the seat as you sit on it. Although its easy to forget, the thing you are cleaning is not the "leather" itself, its the polymer coating on top of the leather. Therefore, feeding isn't going to do jack all anyway, it just sits on the surface attracting more dirt (which is fine if you really want to keep cleaning your seats every month). So OP, without getting overly complicated - you don't really need a feeding product as its going to attract more dirt (they typically use oils) and therefore you want a pure cleaner. A pure cleaner will NOT leave a leathery smell, it'll leave something chemical in nature or nothing at all and hence, if you want that smell you will have to look towards a combination of leather cleaner + conditioner OR just use a leather cleaner on its own with some sort of sealing product like dye block and go for an underseat leather smell air freshener. Another option is to use leather aroma spray and spray it inside the car
  22. Looks nice and shiny now so a fantastic result! Go ahead and stick some wax on it now to prevent it happening again!
  23. Id assume the pressures are for a completely filled car with 5 passengers and luggage. In that case the 38psi would be correct and not cause middle tyre wear due to more weight placed over the rear axle and therefore more tyre contact with the road. If you're the only person in the car most of the time then 35psi should be fine and cause no issues.
  24. But a leather cleaner shouldnt traditionally leave a scent. Its the conditioner/feed in a product that leaves the scent. Besides it leaves a scent for maybe 48 hours - the gliptone under seat freshener lasts for months on end.
  25. Agreed, my RRG one is monthly and interest free over 3 years. Originally bought at Stockport and using it at Bradford so yes you can use them within the same group
