  1. No point getting the air suspension, the standard car rides well enough to be honest and its one less thing to worry about. The sticking brakes issue is due to NOT using the parking brake enough - use it regularly and it should generally be fine but make sure you keep it off when washing in winter.
  2. Premium nav also has the 2 extra speakers - makes a big difference IMO. Hmm 2 IS300h's are a bit odd. Just get another Lexus like a GS or an NX. Having 2 identical cars is just silly....
  3. Why would anyone pay £44k for a 4 year old ISF when a 1 year old RC-F is almost the same. Cheltenham are daft if they paid £42k in P/X.
  4. Id use plastidip personally. Reason being that its removable and all you have to do is peel it away if you dont like it. I believe other companies also do a gloss version
  5. Yep shouldnt be anymore than £35k really.
  6. You should get a card in the post a few days later. Its full cover as well, very comprehensive - doesnt matter which car you're in etc etc
  7. WHAT!!! £445 is the fixed price! Whats the extra £20 for?
  8. The RX400h is faster slightly due to it weighing a lot less than the 450h.
  9. You can get about £3k off their advertised price too, they're keen to shift them off I think.
  10. Looks fine to me. Id be inclined to check the toe in/toe out instead of the camber. I believe the camber is non adjustable anyway.
  11. Generally better quality materials in the interior and a new look. Appears some model may get STOP/START too but most likely the IS200t as the 300h already has a built in stop start system
  12. Due to it being a facelift model and not an all new model, the same discounts would apply as they do now
  13. That should be OK then. If I put my foot to the floor it'll scare cars which are rated at 0-60mph in 5-6s. Lets not forget that the RX is faster in mid range acceleration than a Porsche Cayenne Hybrid with 400+hp!
  14. Most likely 66 plate should be the facelift models. No official release date though, could even be on 17 plates
  15. So I thought I'd compile a list to send to a Lexus UK. Would be interesting to see their response to what you guys hate about your cars. Would be great if you could also back up your opinions and state which model you have in the comments below :) For me I guess it's the service costs now that they've inflated the price and also made it fixed for all Lexus dealers. I have the 3rd Gen RX and 3rd Gen IS.
  16. Small update on the situation. Spoke to the guys at Lexus Stockport - they gave the same quote £935 and £1295. I bought the car there and they gave me a 13% discount on the 3 year service plan (bought a year after the car). I was essentially told that they can't discount the price - its fixed price now. Therefore I just told them that there's no point buying it from them then if they're giving the same generic price as Bradford is. I haven't haggled with Bradford yet but Ive sent an email to Lexus Leeds to see what they quote.
  17. I think it was on the 2013 reg onwards in the 3rd Gen. The facelift came out on the 12 plate, they had some issues in the US with unintended acceleration so built in a throttle delay to all RX's after. Interesting you say its difficult to get the car to move - mine literally just goes like stink with the foot to the floor. It weighs 2 tonnes and its a NA petrol so needs revving.
  18. Dunlop sport maxx RT/RT2, goodyear eagle f1 asymmetric 2/3 would be my choices
  19. Mine was the 2nd gen RX300. It had a hesitant gearbox at times, not always. You didn't test a 2013 did you? I believe the 3rd gen 2013 had a built in throttle delay due to the "unintended acceleration" problems. The 2016 RX and 2012 RX doesn't have this
  20. Generally speaking on light carpwts it's not as noticeable. On darker carpets I've seen prolonged use turn it almost dark grey. Usually the ones containing bleach say something like "5% oxidising agents" or something
  21. Agreed it's not fit for purpose. Cars shouldn't be leaking regardless of how much water goes on it
  22. I use the Screwfix Titan wet vac. Cost like £35 or something and it pulls water and mud out just fine. Not had a single issue with it.
  23. Sounds better and you can play DVD's on it but apart from that not really.
  24. Dont really know what you're talking about - never had an issue with it reacting differently to throttle inputs. Generally, the more you put your foot down, the faster it goes. I swapped my RX300 for it and can't say its any worse, in fact that RX had a more hesitant gearbox
  25. Road noise is due to the tyres - its got beefy 265's at the rear and it does depend on the tyre ratings too. They usually stick the cheapest tyres they can get on the Used models so most likely, if you change the tyres you'll have less road noise With the luxury you won't get the tyre roar and the engine note wont be as loud. The F-Sport has a different intake leading to the sound you get in those models.
