  1. The 2.4 Turbo is coming to the UK but as the hybrid 500h F-Sport Performance model. However, the RX acceleration is more than adequate as mentioned already. Additionally, it does handle reasonably well for a car its size.
  2. Its not any different to adding options on the car. and itll probably be hacked reasonably quickly.
  3. Different manufacturers follow different processes. Just because Lexus are a division of Toyota, it doesnt mean they follow the same process. Like I said, the manufacturer we ordered a car from does not have tracking either. They used to before the crisis, but they took it down after it became stupidly unreliable. In the grand scheme of things a £40k car is probably closer to the average. A Golf R costs more than that now. Just wait it out, dont see what the problem is and really dont see why you need constant updates.
  4. To reduce tyre noise inside the cabin. As there is no engine as such, there's a lot less noise in the cabin than the 250h which means that ears naturally focus on the next noisiest thing, which is usually tyres. I recently drove a BMW 540i M-Sport. Different class of vehicle I know but amazingly quiet even with the 20" wheels and run flats. However, you do feel cats eyes on the motorway a lot more when changing lanes. I personally would remove them. I dont think they're worth the loss in handling and driving feel.
  5. Oh dear Leather cleaning shouldnt need any vigorous rubbing. Likely its rubbed the clear topcoat off the leather. Ideally just needs spraying with leather cleaner, very light agitation with a leather brush and then removal with damp cloth. Finally seal the leather. Nothing else is required including rubbing
  6. Go for it. Lexus has a very loyal following and its usually due to customer service levels. To be honest, you've been on the forum and I haven't read a single positive from your posts. You obviously fail to grasp the fact that theres a economic crisis going on, an ongoing war and a worldwide supply issue. I've also got a car on order from another brand and thats almost been 7 months of waiting whihc has also had an MY23 change. You dont get any updates from the dealer unless you ask for one and you're not the only monkey in the jungle despite you thinking so. "comments removed, no need for the personal insults"
  7. Acceleration is good on all accounts
  8. No idea so far. Its going to the Lexus approved bodyshop in September. Admiral was reasonably quick to get it approved but unfortunately there are lots of cars waiting for parts etc booked in before ours. Luckily still driveable so thats OK.
  9. I had the roof done on one of my cars a while back. It was fine but it does cost especially a whole car. Whole car will be around £2-3k. it needs to be prepped properly and ideally would need doors, bumpers, handles taking off so the wrap is put into all the crevices. The last thing you want is the outside to be one colour and the door shuts etc being another
  10. I dont think the configurator is fully updated yet and will have some discrepancies until it is completed.
  11. Would make much difference weight wise. Its a very rare option and tbh Id probably take the panoramic sunroof over the active stabilisers any day. The panoramic sunroof brightens the cabin up so much in comparison to the standard sunroof
  12. The red is really nice. Much better than black. Trust me, Ive had both, amongst other colours like grey, beige and cream.
  13. Yep should be covered under the warranty. Just give them a call asap. As its been logged before 12 months finished, it would be covered regardless of whether they managed to look at it in 1 month or 1 week
  14. Both those cars have much harder wearing interiors though. For example the artico Mercedes use on seats is almost indestructible, but of course doesnt feel as nice. The Dakota leather in BMW is processed heavily as well. The materials in the Lexus are softer and therefore more delicate and need regular care.
  15. Unfortunately nothing can be done about wear and tear. Cant comment as our UXe doesnt have that particular gear knob. As for the B pillar trim, it looks like the seatbelt has literally been flung off and therefore hits that side. I always tend to place the seatbelt rather than remove so dont have that issue on ours
  16. Admittedly the figures dont seem massively better than a non hybrid vehicle. For reference, 2014 Merc C200 2.0l remapped to 250hp, 0-60mph in 6 ish seconds and it achieves 41mpg on 20 mile journey at 75mph cruise control. If I put it in eco, dont use cruise control and let it coast down motorway hills it can achieve slightly more.
  17. Detailedonline Natural dressing. Cheap, leaves a nice smell (multiple scents) and goes on everything. Leaves a very natural look compared to those shiny greasy dressings. In terms of leather I used to use dodojuice supernatural leather kit with their sealer. I tried DetailedOnline leather cleaner and its pretty much the same in effectiveness but cheaper. Also used Gyeon Leather coat and must say its my new favourite. Seems to be ceramic based. I first put it on and cried - it left the seats so shiny! But, it needs to cure so wait 24 hours and it goes to matt
  18. Been in contact with RRG bodyshop and sent them photos. Now they just have to provide the estimate to Admiral via email and hopefully itll get approved. Other than that its just a waiting game really.
  19. Noticed it at first on the UXe but you get used to it and wont be able to tell its even there after a few weeks. I genuinely think people are over reacting. You wont hear it over a certain speed anyway as it automatically turns off
  20. You cant get them in that size unfortunately.
  21. So I contacted admiral today as I'd been on holiday for a week in Tunisia and not heard anything back by email or phone Essentially the driver is insured with admiral. But he was driving another car and it was under an axa drive another car policy. They've agreed for me to take my car to my body shop and send them a quote via them so not too bad so far
  22. Depends 2013 - 25mpg in 10 degrees on anything up to 4 mile journeys Longer journeys about 44mpg in winter Summer a lot more but still rubbish on short journeys as would expect
  23. Not really fair though that one. An I4 M50 despite running similar performance in a straight line doesn't drive anywhere near as well as an M4 Its really more of a faster M lite model like a faster version of an m440i
  24. That would be OK i guess although almost nanny-ing. The thing is, there must be a way of overriding it and that would still cause accidents. Dont think it would have worked in my case, the car that wacked the UX is 18 years old lol
