  1. Yeah it'll be a CT unless you ask
  2. Well they're wrong. Firstly because I think only 1 of the LEDs lights up at night and also because my RX has twin LED headlights which both light up
  3. Brake dust gets stuck into the paint. Then water and salt etc get in and bubble the paint up.
  4. Whites easier to clean than any other colour pretty much
  5. Cosmetic parts only really. Or things like loud exhausts. Nothing in terms of performance
  6. You can go down the aftermarket route to get it done I believe. Do a Google check
  7. No not talcum powder. There's special black powder you can get for light cars. Detailers use it so they don't miss any scratches On black cars it's not an issue as it can be seen under light
  8. Except you aren't looking hard enough. Don't you have a silver car? It's difficult to see scratches on silver even with a high powered light. Get some fine black powder and spread it over the car. It'll show up all the scratches you claim "aren't there"
  9. That is definitely a good offer tbh. Id prob only get £20k for my RX F Sport if I PXed it and it's got average mileage and in showroom condition bar normal wear and tear
  10. Worth it at that price though with the kit it has. It drives really well tbh. First time I've driven one and was expecting it to just be point to point transportation but it's actually somewhat fun
  11. The acidity comment was specifically aimed at megs. The scratches comment was for waterless washes. There is no way they don't scratch the paint unless you use tonnes of it on a 10k per year car which doesn't get washed for a month especially in winter.
  12. Because brake dust goes everywhere including the backs and the inner column of the rim ad the paintwork near the wheel arch Basically if you just do the fronts, it could easily corrode from the back and make its way around the front under the paint.
  13. You can use 95 all the time. Premium unleaded refers to the US which is equivalent to uk 95 octane. Super unleaded (97 UK) has additives but no point using it. It may gain mpg but may not and never enough to warrant the cost. It's like diprobase and olay. Both do the same job, actually diprobase is better
  14. No it doesn't the CT rides harder than an A class on comfort suspension. It's almost like a Mini with runflats. Going from an E to a CT is a huge step down so defo test drive. The CT advance loaner I have had twice now rides about the same as my RX F sport and much worse than my IS300H F Sport I'm actually in the US right now and I have a 2016 camry hybrid. I've got to be honest it drives better than the CT
  15. Yeah but everyone usually comes to forums to ask advice or when they have a problem. Therefore it misrepresents how many issues there are. There's about 300 RCs on the road, only 1 I've heard with this problem
  16. Don't worry about the tow bar if buying from a dealer. They'll fit it for free if they really want the sale
  17. Depends how much you want to lose the aesthetic properties of the car. They look awful and I don't understand what's so hard about washing cow poo off the car. You just need hot water and good shampoo
  18. No damage to the paintwork itself but it takes wax off the car which therefore means the paint is unprotected. The wax in this stuff is not durable and only there for initial looks. AFAIK it's also loaded with gloss enhancers too
  19. Yeah I'd just move on as well. Plenty of Lexus RX around to choose from
  20. Must have been on a private plate?
  21. They know that they're expensive. Maybe they'll reduce them by like £50 or something lmao
  22. If youre using C5, make sure you take the wheel off and do the front and back on all wheels. No point using it if you're not doing the backs
  23. Yes from experience. It also reads slightly acidic using pH indicator. It stripped wax off my car in less than 2 months. You prob won't notice on a light colour like ST. You'll need a high powered halogen light.
  24. Tbh it'll probably do for the small bit you have. Phantom grey is an American colour I think
  25. A small knock when going over bumps and when braking to a stop or taking off is normal. It's moving pads and makes no difference to the safety of the car
