  1. I meant siri eyes free not apple carplay itself.
  2. CQUK is easier to use - you cant mess it up, its idiot proof! Even if you use too much it wont make a difference in application. Whats the difference between paint on the body and paint on the wheels then? There is none, except that the wheels are generally exposed to more heat but CQUK can handle it regardless
  3. Needs a new reflector and a lower bumper trim Heating it up is going to look pretty obvious, not to mention it might actually change the texture of the plastic - Its also got some cracks in - can't imagine it'd be that expensive,
  4. TBH with you, a lot of people have messed it up on the forums. Reacts badly to some wheel finishes and some people have got patches with it. If you really wanted to go down the high durability sealant route for the wheels, there's no beating cquartzUK
  5. AFAIK only available in the states.
  6. Does look very nice in Silver with the dark wheels - quite rare tbh, never seen one in that colour before! And the carbon fiber is probably vinyl wrap but actually looks pretty good.
  7. Yep carchem just spray on front and backs, wipe around with an MF, wait to haze then buff it off with another MF. As simple as it can get really. The C5 is good but I just CBA prepping it all up and it does get expensive if you mess up haha!
  8. Not really tried it so can't say! I think its a bit of a faf really, prefer to just put it in manually!
  9. Just to let you know, Broadspeed are still advertising the IS200t Sport for £23860 + options
  10. In my experience it seems to last longer i.e. closer to 2 years than 1 year if its left on for longer to cure. I got lazy and decided it was too much hassle and I use the carchem which lasts about 3-4 months but its much easier to use and doesn't really need any curing time.
  11. Youre going to struggle with that if you cant be without the car for 1-2 days though. Id go for something like Planet Polish wheel seal and shine - doesnt need crazy prep and lasts a fair while, or if you're seriously lazy like me, carchem wheel armour, spray on, spread and buff off after hazing.
  12. Aero blades are fine for the RX, I had them too and they were great. The refills are only for the OEM blades. Ive had good experience with Bosch Aerotwin and Wiper Blades own brand (these are on my son's VW Polo and offer a fantastic wipe). TBH they are impossible to beat in terms of value for money. http://www.wiperblades.co.uk/lexus-rs-300-400-years-2003-to-2007/wbtr-26-retrofit-aero-and-wbtr-22-retrofit-aero-twin-pack-wiper-blades/
  13. Interesting, it might be because of the upcoming facelift model. I dont know where you are based but the Exeter one is the cheapest one available at £21699 Im sure you could get them below £21k and chuck in delivery as well!
  14. There's nothing offensive in my post - just facts. Why do you need to know how wide a car is when you're behind it? Surely you need to be concentrating on the road ahead and staying in the lines rather than bothering about how wide a vehicle is in front of you??! I go on motorways regularly, Ive never had the need to think "oh dear, there's only 1 fog light in front of me, I wonder how wide that vehicle is!" Relevant for what? Parked cars aren't going to have their fog lights on so you'd miss them completely if that was the case!
  15. The fact of the matter is, if it IS a safety issue having just 1 fog light on the rear, you are 1) either driving too close or 2) you need a trip to specsavers. The width of a car is irrelevant when you're behind it.
  16. Its not really a safety issue - two rear foglights aren't better than one. The main idea is that people behind you can see the car which one rear fog light does as good as two!
  17. If they don't budge you aren't trying hard enough but you won't get more than £1k off unless it's your lucky day I'm pretty frank with my main dealer. I usually give then a lower price than I expect to pay and if they say "oh well lose money on it" ill say, and I quote "look, don't bull**** me because we both know that's not true, you paid less than book price and you're making atleast £3k on it". That usually brings them down a bit
  18. Only 1 foglight on the rear in UK spec cars as well so no issues here. Ive only ever had to use fog lights twice in 20 years of driving
  19. FM radio is rubbish anyway - its got worse over the years anyway Play around with the equaliser, remember you have to do this separately for each source!
  20. You should get between £500 and £1000 off any used car. Thats unless you're dealing with Lexus Edgeware road who refuse to give much discount unless they really want to get rid of the car in my experience
  21. All the clay bars from Bilt Hamber are the same grade. They only differ in softness i.e. soft is soft, medium is inbetween and regular is hard
  22. Ah right, I swear it said you had a 400h before :S Hmm, yeah, it should only take 1-1.5 hours max I think, can't take that long for maps unless its a really heavy file
  23. I doubt the deposit was put against it. Makes it simple for me because I just buy the car outright so I just hand the accountant the receipt and then it just gets done from there.
  24. The price sounds about right for a dealer. However, I dont think it takes 3 hours, I thought it was disk based on the 400h? Im sure some people have had luck with getting new maps on ebay for like £60
  25. I dont think you can do this if you do PCP, only if bought outright I believe as the car is not owned by you/your company until you pay the whole sum off. However, Im sure you can put PCP payments in your expenses instead but its best to speak to an accountant really. Essentially, yes, whatever the Writing down allowances is (with personal use accounted for) is taken off your profit and therefore you dont pay tax on that. So yes, 20% off list price. for xxx number of years before the car dips below a certain value. With the 100% allowance, you can only claim in the first year. With the 18% pool you keep claiming until the car falls below a certain value.
