  1. Very nice, shines very well I think!
  2. Well its pretty much the same as the IS, just slower and heavier with less seats and worse handling The RC200T is probably a better bet. You could also go for an IS-F, M3 or C63
  3. True but they're £515 to tax, do 17mpg on a good day and its not exactly quick at 6.4s. In fact, Im pretty sure the IS is faster in mid range acceleration (which is what normal driving is)
  4. Are you sure you're not sitting too far back and overstretching? Just a thought.
  5. You can pick up a decent 911 for £15k Cant imagine there would be much difference between running costs of an RX-8 and a 911. The RX-8 is dire on fuel
  6. Click the yellow "insert other media" and then "insert image from URL" It should work that way. Make sure you copied the direct link as well, not the other ones
  7. Whatever the media makes you believe, its not exactly easy to crack these things. The guys who do this have been doing it for years, steal to order and only deal with high end motors. The keys run on a rolling code system with an algorithm changing the code each time. You cant just copy a code and then use it to open the car as the code is constantly changing. The RX also has an immobiliser so technically the car shouldn't have started even if they got into it in the first place.
  8. The 4th Gen RX for me. Built really well, IMO looks better than any other SUV out there and handles well enough for a 2 tonne SUV. Im not overly concerned about the MPG either but 30mpg is plenty. Wife will prob swap the IS after a few years for the new UX or the new CT when it comes out.
  9. Well the RC-F cabin is quite cosy but the general dash etc is the same as the IS..... The GS-F is bigger and better built and worth the extra (its not much more expensive if you take into account it has TVD and ACC as standard) Nissan GTR - meh maybe for the track but have you driven one on the road? Feels like riding around in a big box with 30" stone wheels on it. There's no beating a Porsche 911......
  10. I have to say, you're probably 1 in a 100,000 as the GS seats are some of the most comfortable seats ever made. Thats a fact, not an opinion. Anyway, you're seat adjustment isn't right if you're feeling pain in the back of your legs. Id say you need to raise the seat from the front upwards whilst keeping the back of the seat lower so the seat base is at an incline instead of flat. You can do this by pressing down on the back portion of the seat raising button whilst pressing up on the same button from the front if that makes sense.
  11. Well simply put, you can't get out of this issue. If you buy a desirable car, it'll have a higher chance of getting nicked. Look at the amount of BMW's getting taken, Range Rover Sport's and especially the Golf R which seems to be a huge hit at the minute. Even the Audi Q7 is being nicked and they're the older shaped ones.
  12. I believe the F-Sport might solve your problems with the seats ;) TBH the require a lot of skill to get out of haha
  13. Ive never owned a car with a full pano roof before, just had them on test drives. Whats the main issue with it? The amount of light getting in or the heat created by the rays focussing through?
  14. Should be about 100k. Of course it does depend on driving. If you do steady motorway driving its likely you won't use them much as the car pretty much slows itself down on re-gen most of the time unless you're braking enthusiastically
  15. Well the good thing is they found the car and its nearly ready to pick up. I wish they'd "lost" my car now if they've given you free 3 years servicing haha!
  16. Yes it will slightly but only after the first quarter or so, they don't seem to drop straight away. The only exception is if its a late pre-facelift stock model, they'll give you it for like £5-7k off new price.
  17. Having driven both, they are extremely different. The 200t is a bit of a slouch in the RC because of the weight of the thing. Its heavier than the IS and feels more like a GS in terms of driving. The RC-F is a great car, bit of a bargain if you buy used considering how much the prices have dropped from new. Its just raw. However, Ive also driven the GS-F and I know which one I would have! GS-F all day for me, just a better car in all departments IMO. It feels more polished and honed down and the chassis is better. Goes around corners better than the RC-F, brakes better than the RC-F and comes with the TVD as standard
  18. I found the IE3 to be a better match. Thought the Mercury grey was almost too light.
  19. Yep as mentioned already, its not an SE-L The strips on the door appear to be aftermarket add ons, as does the spoiler and the hideous stag at the back. As far as I can tell, you have 2 options, get them painted or take them off. These things are stuck on with glue so a hairdryer should soften it and they should just come off. HOWEVER, if you attempt to do this yourself, be careful, open all doors and ensure you start removing it from the opposite side to the edge of the door (this is so it doesn't dig into the paintwork on the other side) Looks in pretty good nick all around though, the calipers look brand new and the rotors are very shiny (could be new)
  20. If it debuts in January its unlikely to make it to the UK until atleast July. Meh the XE - I honestly think the CT has a better quality interior so massive complement for Lexus really.
  21. Instead of doing the coasting in neutral down a hill I'd suggest some emergency braking instead when no one is behind you, its more controllable IMO. In neutral the car just seems to run away from you. Granted I dont have a CT but my RX has done 42k miles and its got half its brakes left. Pretty good IMO considering the thing weighs 2 tonnes
  22. Not that Ive heard of in the UK to be honest. Generally they are extremely reliable and if something does happen, apart from the things mentioned in my previous post, then its very very unlucky
  23. Main things really are sticking calipers on these, corroded wheels and corrosion underneath. I believe the hybrid batteries and engine are pretty much bulletproof. As its a 400h dont worry about going for the SE-L as they don't have air suspension which is usually a PITA when it goes. Check the sunroof for any leaks and ensure it function's properly and if it has sat nav be aware that its quite dated and doesn't support full postcode
  24. Interesting - TBH Ive found the Lexus dealers down south of Milton Keynes to generally be crap anyway
  25. Not strictly true. Most tyre fitters and companies don't recommend rotating tyres any longer. The reason behind it is that 4 tyres (2 brand new and 2 part worn) are always going to be better than 4 tyres which are both part worn.
