  1. No "howling" noise from the rear - id be worried in any car if that happened. The only noise I can think of is the whining of the hybrid system, it does this on the motorway but only if you let go of the accelerator and still, its not exactly a howl
  2. Yes the service guy is spot on. The rear wheels have negative camber, non adjustable btw so yes its a feature of the car, as with some BMW's you will find.
  3. The IS200t is pretty quick in real world terms. TBF the IS300H can shame 3.0l diesels in mid range acceleration so not really lacking power. It's more because there's no gear changes it feels slower than it is
  4. Have your wheels been refurbed before though? There's no colour code so if you bought it used then its highly likely theyve been done before and not the "original" colour anyway. Simply by looking at the pictures I can tell you that Fiat Underground Grey is too dark Phantom grey: Underground Grey - fiat
  5. Thats quite odd as both my cars show folders separately. Your GS300h is running on the same system as the one in my RX so I can't work out why its doing what its doing. The only thing I can think of is if you have subfolders within folders, itll probably cause the system to get confused.
  6. Ah yes - same car in Shmee150's test drive from Lexus Reading. To be fair it has a lot more miles on it compared to the other ones over £40k. The one in Leicester looks really good
  7. You can try it but its a naturally aspirated engine so you'll get maybe a maximum of 10hp. I presume the rav4 was a turbocharged diesel?
  8. Probably because they wouldn't sell and of course dealers have to hold some cars as demos which would just sit around losing money. You can blame the UK diesel culture and obsession with mpg and tax rates for that
  9. Hmm it seems that you won't be able to fit them then. The only solution I can think of is some kind of suction cup system on the glass but I doubt that would be secure enough
  10. Yh that's what I meant by settings. I think you probably have to do it in the nav as well
  11. Hi Rob, My gut instinct is that you wont be able to fit the roof racks which the roof box would fit to. On the standard roof, there will be 4 points integrated into the rubber drip lines (they're pretty obvious as they have black plastic covers on them). If you can see these 4 points, then you will be able to fit the roof rails, if not then you cant so I would suggest taking a look up there or posting a picture for us to take a look for you. I presume that the 2 rear points are present but the front ones arent due to the glass but best to make sure. Hope that helps
  12. The speedo on the F-Sport is digital anyway If you go into the settings you can change it from mph to km/h or vice versa with ease.
  13. It's been raining today and the bootlid was covered in beads of water. I pulled it into the garage and opened the bootlid fully and as swiftly as is possible. No water trickling down the hinges like in the OPs photo and no water in the boot whatsoever. It's also an early 63 plate as well so should be on here if it was a problem from factory
  14. I'm pretty positive that OP bought the car new and it was a while back, defo more than 30 days more likely a year or so. It's obviously not a problem that was there before when the car was new which means it's developed sometimes afterwards so would probably be a blockage rather than a defect
  15. I reckon the logical thing to do would be to add GS300h onto the title of this section The big issue with having a completely new GS300h section is that itll be pretty much empty. There aren't many around and usually people come to forums with problems and these things are nigh on bulletproof.
  16. Haha yeah! But its happened now hasnt it? These IS220d's have well documented problems and its pretty much hit or miss on them. I think the IS200d is much better but there's very few of them about But yh, the OP will definitely be happy with an Auto IS250 - miles apart, sometimes you think its a completely different car!
  17. Not surprised in the slightest. Surprised with the rust bubbles though - will be covered under 12 year corrosion warranty of course.
  18. Must be national RC-F month or something! Saw a Sonic Red RC-F today - looked absolutely insane - thats my colour of choice for sure, I like it more than the blue!
  19. Interesting that you mention the non-clearing windows. Mine are also like that on both the RX and IS. I think its to reduce the amount of scratches on the glass. On the other hand, BMW 1 series have really tight seals, they clear the windows with one up/down motion but end up having loads of fine vertical scratches after a while. However, the front side windows have rain repellent glass so the water usually disappears after a short drive
  20. Nah the admiral little box is definitely wired into the dash. The Bell one is just plug and play.
  21. I probably should have clarified. I don't know anyone who has a coupe as a single car and has a family of 3 or 4. Eapecially as the RC is somewhat designed for younger buyers (I'd presume around 30-40 year olds) it becomes quite impractical. My brother in law has 5 kids and manages with an Audi S5 but that's because he has a big Q7 taking up the whole drive as well
  22. When you go on Nav, then destination, you should see something like 1/2 near the top right corner with a smallish arrow next to it. Click on that and it'll take you to the second page which has "postcode" on it.
  23. Ive seen 2 now. Both were F-Sport, one in black and another in blue. They're pretty much a 2 seater as the rear seats are unusable if the driver is anything over 5 ft 10. Not exactly practical with a small boot too. Don't know many people who have a coupe as their only car TBH
  24. Some of them are having injector issues etc even before the car is run in! But getting back on topic, its most likely a blocked drain as you mentioned. Ive never seen it happen on an IS before including loaners I think the dealership are taking the ***** in all honestly if they're saying they've "noticed it too but can't do anything about it"
  25. Not really, they end up ripping the whole dashboard out to wire it in. Also it gives a rating based on driving and what time you drive. My son's VW polo has had one fitted but thats because the other insurance companies were quoted £1k more and he's a young driver. He's got bronze every week as his placement requires him to be driving at 7am and coming back at peak times. Also, any motorway journey is automatically a bronze if its over 20 miles unless you religiously stick to 68mph. The bell one is better - its just a plug and drive unit which you stick into the 12v socket and send back after 3 months.
