  1. Although most things are included as standard on the 2017. ACC etc is all included as standard
  2. No, Im not being defensive, im being reasonable. To quote you said "personally I wouldnt even use Autoglym stuff on the body of my car". That gives the impression to readers that all their products are rubbish.
  3. It's only available on the Premier trim for 14/64 plates. The only tell tale sign would be a wide button on the right side of the steering wheel under the back and menu button. It should have a car with waves coming out the front for distance control of ACC
  4. Cant compare the Q60 to 430 and C300 as they're both 4 pots.
  5. Its just a anti-glare coating thats been rubbed off. They are very easy to rub off on earlier models. You can try to get it fixed or you can remove the rest of the coating itself using a glass cleaner - it takes some effort but looks much better and Ive not noticed any significant difference in glare.
  6. The one on autotrader just has a wrapped roof. The wheels are lexus OEM. Interior wise just look for the usual. Scuffs in the wrong places, check under mats for damp or cig burns and check the headliner for excess sag Engine wise it shouldn't be making any dodgy noises but apart from that I doubt you'd notice much. Check the usual for exterior so things like overspray, faded panels, dents, odd looking patterns in the paint characterised by poor paint. Check the panel gaps to make sure it's not been in a shunt
  7. Like what exactly? You do realise that Autoglym Super Resin Polish is the best filling polish currently on the market right? Detailing forums like detailingworld.co.uk and cleanyourcar.co.uk have done plenty of comparisons against many polishes over the years and AG SRP comes out on top most of the time. "It goes all powdery" - no it doesnt, you're using too much. But hey, if you want to pay the detailing tax for a fancy box then go ahead, but don't be foolish enough to think its a better product. A detailing god once said "its not the product but the technique" and 99% of the time, that's true.
  8. Generally any metal polish will do. Even brasso contrary to popular belief doesnt have to be used only on brass!
  9. Post a link up of the car If its the one I think it is, it looks OK, just has tonnes of stonechips (expected) and lots of scratches on the side that looks like auto car wash marks. Also roof looks wrapped (therefore look out for knife marks) and wheels are refurbs so take a look at all 4 for any bubbling.
  10. Petrol evaporates. Therefore you ideally want to remove all the mats (I suspect some has gone into the floor carpets on the side or underneath) and then keep the car open to air
  11. That is only available on cars with memory seats + mirrors.
  12. Autosol metal polish and fine wire wool should do it.
  13. +1 with the brush. Should be getting results like below
  14. T-cut has a bad name because its probably the most aggressive polish you can get. The reason for that is because its designed for hand use and therefore needs to be aggressive to do the work. Basically, if T-cut doesn't make an impact, I doubt anything will. I personally would have reached for Autoglym Paint Renovator in this situation - a no nonsense product. If it is true oxidation, it will come off easy, if not, you might require a respray. I would hazard a guess that the panel has been resprayed poorly in the past, especially since only 1 is affected. It shouldn't really be oxidising anyway as its a clearcoat-ed paint
  15. OMG I love the 1 series M-lite! Bit of a bargain as well Im seriously considering a 5 door M140i in Melbourne red/Oyster with all the options! - Still comes out at less than £35k!
  16. Yes its normal. No idea what it is but all hybrids do it after parked up
  17. Looks good from the outside IMO - slightly different to the norm. The interior is a bit awkward though - reminds me of the interior from the Gen3 GS i.e. looks dated already Gear lever looks really tall and the 2 screens are just odd. If the steering is anything like the Q50, it'll be annoying to drive.
  18. Agreed. Its a bit of a bargain. I wonder how well it holds its value though.
  19. I wouldn't recommend concrete or block paving. Had both in the past and they're a PITA in the winter, especially on any kind of slope. Currently have tarmac and its much better in my experience - TBF I did have weed control layed underneath it and the tarmac itself is 10 inch thick. However, having said that, my brother in law had his driveway done in stone-bound resin and it looks great. Water doesn't rest on it either, just drains through
  20. Your friend knows nothing about cars
  21. No but a lot of early US cars had their seats replaced under warranty I'm talking about the boomerang shaped indent where the backside usually goes in the drivers seat I think it was an issue with the foam injection or something.
  22. The brown spots are most certainly tar or iron. I remove them from my car yearly using autosmart tardis and an iron remover.
  23. That boomerang is not normal and was an issue with early cars.
  24. Definitely will be classed as wear and tear Mine is a 63 plate with 13k miles and it's fine. I suspect it's to do with heavy boots or shoes with hard heels. Undoubtedly doing only 17k miles in 4 years means it's going to have more use of the parking brake which would explain the wear For me it's not a problem as I rarely drive the car and the Mrs has small feet and usually wears soft flats or running trainers
  25. Probably going to be a little more popular now that tax bands have changed. It won't be as expensive to tax and comes fully loaded
