  1. Do you have any of this in writing? I.e. them telling you its got a full service history? Lexus approved cars, as well as alot other manufacturers don't require their approved used cars to have any service history at all as long as it's gone through the workshop for checks and a service done by them before sale
  2. Thats partially true The new RX is not larger than the current one. It just has a longer wheelbase. It is more expensive but I think its worth it based on the ride and interior quality / space in comparison to the NX. Realistically speaking if you're looking purely at cost then its cheaper to keep the RX. Wait for it to drop by 15-20k in a year or two and then purchase
  3. I think you should test drive both. Personally the new RX is a better vehicle and more refined than the NX450h is
  4. I think its excessive change it at 10k/1year as per the service schedule - its not the 1990s
  5. Potentially. They were testing it with the Direct4 system on the RX so likely 4WD
  6. There is an EV Lexus saloon coming 2024/5. I wonder if this is the IS replacement
  7. It's probably the tires especially if they've just been changed Some do make a humming noise.
  8. Tbh I think the steering is the same as the other models. But it does stiffen up in sport s+ mode
  9. The F-Sport dampers are stiffer so it does give a slightly stiffer ride along with sportier seats and different interior/exterior colour options . Its not as stiff as the NX300h F-Sport. The Premier should have a sunroof and HUD, Mark Levinson as standard whereas the F-Sport has these as options. Otherwise adaptive cruise control / lane keep assist etc is standard on both variants
  10. Some will be flexible on price, others wont. Ring them to find out.
  11. This post is actually hilarious. Any car can be stolen. Also if you fit a ghost system, it cant bypass the immobiliser as it requires a code
  12. This all very much sounds like teething issues which are present on almost every single new car. Best to buy when the model is out for atleast 1 year and atleast its being done as a recall and not as a "wait till its out of warranty" kind of approach I dont think a recall counts as being "unreliable" does it - its technically not broken but an update?
  13. UX is slightly larger on the inside compared to the CT It is also a lot more refined than a CT with a better ride. I think an NX would be too large for her needs as its basically the same size as a 3rd gen RX
  14. Thats not entirely accurate. Some of these cars are tested with specific tyres and for certain characteristics / ease of availability. For example, the RX500h was tested with Michelins on and will come with those as it is a "performance variant". Some of the other variants may come with Bridgestone most likely. The 4th generation RX mainly had Bridgestones and Dunlop available. A classic example is the UX300e. It was designed to allow less road noise into the cabin which is why it has non runflat Michelin Primacy 3 which is different to anything thats on the regular hybrid UX
  15. They are quite awful. Very easy to talk to and then go through with it but there have been some shocking issues on other forums about policies being cancelled out of the blue for BS reasons etc
  16. Driving on UK roads usually results in some form of alignment change required within 1-2 years
  17. Used them for years Since 2012 to be exact. Also had 2 claims with them and all were handled extremely well with no hassle Current car is insured with them also
  18. It probably need an alignment. I know mine was to the right before alignment and that is sorted now
  19. What was the list price without any discounts. Discounts arent taken into account its the full list price that they work the VED on. It must have gone over £40k as list
  20. Its 65L or 17.2 gallons US The range will be quite conservative and it's not unknown for the tank / mileage to drop off slower towards the end of the tank. I can remember my range showed about 50 miles once and it had 5 gallons left in the tank.
  21. But, this issue affects pretty much all premium cars. Im sure there are much more accessible targets including the RR Sport which suffers from the same Canbus thefts accessed through the rear hatch. BMW X5's, Audis and Mercedes also are targeted. I dont think there's any real way of getting around it apart from keeping your car as secure as you can.... apart from driving something which isnt as desirable I suppose. The other thing is - are they actually canbus thefts or keyless thefts? The pouches are rubbish and stop working after a few months yet people seem to think they last forever. I dont think Canbus thefts work with the Ghost immobiliser so I think that would definitely be a sound investment
  22. We've finally had news that our new VW Golf has just landed in the UK after 18 months! So its not just Lexus that are struggling with the deliveries of cars. BMW/Audi also have quite significant delays but it is all model dependent.
  23. My RX had a vibration caused by wheel bearing
  24. The bolsters soften over time. The side bolsters on the base are initially quite stiff. The other thing is that the seat isn't positioned correctly. Even the f sport seats are the most comfortable seats in the business so they shouldn't be causing any discomfort
  25. Any interior cleaner/ dressing is fine for the dash and doorcards Leather cleaner or diluted All purpose cleaner on the seats followed by a sealant
