  1. Yes thats normal, its on nearly every Lexus vehicles I've seen bar the newer ones but I dont doubt that they'll get it sooner or later. The RX 3rd gen suffers from this Just needs a lick of hammerite but some dealers will replace it under warranty - depends on how they feel at the time you show them.
  2. Metal polish for the chrome bits - autosol or similiar Just make sure its actually chrome and not chrome effect plastic or you'll take the coating off
  3. I think its £17-18 with VAT. It was £15 a few years ago. I haggled them down on my older RX though to £10 each but that was in 2015 so probably gone up to around £12-13 if you haggle.
  4. True, but by how much? They'll take atleast £150 if not more for spark plug change
  5. If by hand, then yes, autoglym would be great. Best bang for buck out of the others. SRP should be fine. If you want to go more upscale, Bit hamber cleanser polish.
  6. All the new Lexus range have auto lock doors I believe now as the fault has been sorted. Don't know why Nissan have removed it.
  7. But it doesn't include the spark plug change so you're back to square 1
  8. Its the spark plugs that are changed. The essential care major service does not include the price of spark plugs. There will be 6 spark plugs - about £10 each from Lexus so that would be about £60. Rest is labour - its a 2 hour job apparently. Half the engine is disassembed because its a PITA to get to them. Then they'll need gap adjustment I believe they charge £150 or so to do the spark plugs alone but you can't really compare to essential care servicing as its not labelled an essential care service.
  9. I don't think it matters as the aspect ratio of tyres will adjust for the wheel size. In other words, the height of the car will remain the same as the tyres will be the same outer diameter regardless of what wheel the CT has
  10. Nah not a SanDisk but a Samsung Evo. Or what I thought was a Samsung evo. Turns out its a fake after doing some research and I used h2testw to check it because the Internet told me to do so and it's only 8gb! Ah well, I've bought a Samsung evo+ to replace it. Hopefully it's genuine
  11. Yep it'll be the full 60k service. It's £745 Think it's the spark plug change. From what I was told, half the engine is disassembled on the RX but I don't know
  12. How old is the car? If it's 6 years old with 50k miles, it'd have the full 60k service than the 50k one. It works on 10k/1 year
  13. Well previously they were .MOV. The problem is, that when I put the SD card into the PC - it says Drive F is unreadable and needs to be formatted before use. Obviously formatting on the PC will erase everything. .MOV plays fine on Windows 10 built in media player but it just doesn't show any files when putting the SD card in and says it needs formatting.
  14. Also seems to be supplied with exo in most kits and I think this may be down to the water behaviour of crystal serum not being great so exo boosts that
  15. An update to this - the dashcam itself is working fine. However, I took the SD card to see some clips on my computer and the PC just says that Drive F (the SD card slot) is not in a readable format and that it needs to format the SD card. Having said that, the dashcam doesn't seem to have any problem recording and doesn't show any messages. Do I have a duff SD card?
  16. Ive also just gone through all my papers for the IS and the one paper for the RX. All are 0W20 oil used. The IS has been on Castrol whereas the RX was on Mobil. Not too fussed as long as its 0W20
  17. I believe the 50k is just a standard service. Its not a full service like the ones at 20k and 40k. I believe the cost is about £295 and you can try haggle, might get a bit off. I probably would have gone with the Stockport insurance guy to be honest, they did two of my wheels on the previous car and it was a perfect job.
  18. I've seen loads of sonic T lexus around. They just seem to blend in with the road and surroundings. Certainly not a colour I'd choose If I was getting an LC, it'd be the base LC in either white, red or black, all with red interior. I like the look and style of the smaller wheels tbh.
  19. Well crystal serum light is a coating whereas Fusso is a sealant. Therefore you'll find that crystal serum light will last longer but costs more and has to cure etc. Personally I'd go for cquartz uk if wanting a sealant. It's pretty much idiot proof and great for UK weather
  20. Simply down to the tyre being wider causing more friction - other factors play a part as well including the tyre compound itself. Its very possible that the car isn't fully run in yet? Ive found MPG gets much better when a car has atleast 10-15k miles on it.
  21. ah im probably thinking about the IS then. I think the driving position is probably a reason as well - some people prefer sitting higher up so they can see everything around them.
  22. Its already coming to lower models. The IS now has it as standard. The CT will be getting the Safety System + as standard when its 2nd facelift is out later this year On a side note - Toyota has patented a cloaking device in the US which basically makes the A-pillar transparent so no blindspots around them
  23. Only 5L more. The GS in hybrid guise is 480l whereas the NX300H is 475l. Worth bearing in mind that the NX comes with a spare wheel as well whereas the GS doesn't. The seats also fold down in an NX so it can carry a bike or fridge without putting it outside the car and of course, much more shoulder room in an NX. Easier for people with dogs as well. From a practical perspective - harder to kerb the wheels due to the large tyre profiles. AWD is certainly great in winter and rainy days without having to resort to Winter tyres which is what most people CBA with.
