  1. I would say the 300h will be the best for you from what you have said - and comparatively easier to find. I have yet to find a human being hate on the IS300h CVT after driving it - of course, motoring journalists don't come under "human being" as they are some sort of super human racing drivers The IS300h BHP figure is 220hp combined. If they are quoting 178hp, they are stating just the engine HP and not the combined HP.
  2. Maybe good handling for a muscle car but it doesn't go around corners well if that's what you're wanting. Its a proper old school vehicle ie straight line speed and skittish in the corners. The material quality is the same as the other C-classes. They didn't change the interior much. I think the biggest complaint that the Merc got was the huge masses of elephant hide look plastic on the dashboard. Best to drive them both to be honest with you and you'll see what I mean. Most reviews say the IS-F isn't great either
  3. 1) official time is 4.5s or thereabouts 2) having driven the c63 2012 model, it doesnt handle as well as an RC-F and is firmer. 3) also seems to be driven by yobs with no regard for other road users. A friend of mine tried selling one to an enthusiast. Ended up getting calls from people with vocabulary extending no further than bro.
  4. Very nice - the red is a lovely colour and suits the GS, especially with your interior choice Ive resorted to using Sonax BSD or Carplan No1 super gloss on the RX - its too bloody big to wax as well as polish!
  5. Great price - would definitely remove the wrap though. Hopefully the paint underneath is pristine - some of these wrapping folk handle a blade like a machete
  6. The springs are probably the same but the shocks are different - Tokico on the F-Sport
  7. Ah yes, the sonic red is a fantastic colour and the combination with Clove interior is perfect too - Im not a fan of the typical black interior choice! Probably not the best interior colour for Big Rats choice of T-shirt though, would look rather hilarious just seeing his head from outside!
  8. That would explain why the front bumper is probably misaligned - the radiator would have been a bumper off job. Not sure why the rear would be though?
  9. Yes, you're right but I think it may be the front bumper than the bonnet. Its obviously misaligned as well.
  10. Yes, I think there are some RX's under warranty from 2003-2007 and they do continue to warranty them as its good money for them.
  11. Yes, looks off to me as well especially when you look at the website pictures - the drivers side gap is about 1-3mm more than it should be so may have had a repair at some point in that area.
  12. Thats not strictly true. Its worth getting into contact with your dealer regarding this because I know that they will put warranty on a car older than 10 years/140k miles if its been under warranty for a number of years already
  13. My 3RX had a little tray in it from factory. Should be on all 3RXs post 2012 not sure about earlier vehicles.
  14. I've seen a few CT Sports around. Only problem I saw was that the wheels looked extremely tatty when kerbed, the white underneath shows through like nothing else
  15. Definitely get better mpg in eco but not much, maybe 3mpg. Eco makes no difference to ride quality so you must be imagining that!
  16. Real chrome is cold to touch. Chrome coated plastic isn't
  17. Yes thats the pre facelift GS screen software. It won't let you have maps on the right. The new system like the one on my RX you can have the map on full screen or on the right on the smaller screen.
  18. Eco makes the car feel slower than a 1.0l Polo. I really don't see the point of it. If you want outright economy get a diesel or plug in passat
  19. Yep the premium nav was complimentary early on whereas leather was always an option.
  20. Painting them is pretty simple if you're into that sort of thing. Id probably go for silver/black though. Not a huge fan of coloured calipers unless they're brembos
  21. This has been going round for a while now. I doubt it'll take off in the UK as the XL RX will be 20-30cm longer than the current RX which is massive anyway
  22. Interesting. The deal itself sounds great and there's no harm done if the payments are pretty much the same despite the tax rates going up since 2014 If she's not a car person, then it doesn't really matter what you opt for. Some people buy cars just on looks, others based primarily on fuel economy and tax rates and some on all round prowessm
  23. Might not be the metal itself but due to nothing underneath supporting it.
