  1. Wouldn't worry about it personally. Plenty of S/RS Audi's, M BMWs and AMG Mercs around to take. The only one that seems to be nicked more often in the Lexus range is the RX.
  2. Worth pointing out that performance is relative to what you drive now. I found the NX difficult in terms of performance, didn't think there was much in it between CT and NX on that front albeit NX felt slightly quicker and wouldn't attempt country road overtakes in either. In the RX I find it much much easier, it just blasts past traffic.... effortless.
  3. These products are all much of the same thing. However, would defo be going detailer rather than getting the dealer to do it if needed. They're so easy to apply on a new car with a light machine polish that you'd probably do fine putting it on yourself
  4. Agreed. Sounds like it's on its last legs and corrupted
  5. From Stockport? Top blokes and car looks good too, doesn't look like it has 90k on and is a rare colour combo as well
  6. I presume yours is the 6 speaker system? I'm pretty happy with the 8 speaker pioneer system in the IS. It sounds very good to me, almost ML like
  7. If anything the newer ones are less firm than the pre facelift models. Tyre sizes are the same so road noise will be as well. The cars are essentially exactly the same between model years bar very subtle differences
  8. Rotary knob on the cars without premium nav. All cars with premium navigation have the mouse system.
  9. They haven't changed much at all, mainly cosmetics. It goes both ways, the static screen looks better and is thinner, the mouse on the centre console still exists on premium nav models etc etc
  10. RAV-4 as expected is very reliable but the interior quality again leaves much to be desired. The engines aren't the best albeit the hybrid model which uses the same running gear as the NX. The C-HR is doing quite well and I would say it has a better interior than the RAV-4 However, it uses the Prius powertrain so can be a bit noisy on the move. Also, its not exactly huge inside and IMO it doesn't have the space an SUV should do I can recommend a new Tiguan R-line though. I have a friend who got one in white, looks great and drives well too. However 3RX vs new tiguan - Id still go for the 3RX as its so refined but ultimately depends on what you want.
  11. Not as bad as losing a car but Lexus Bradford gave me a car full of polish residue on it. Was in a hurry and didn't realise until I put it in the garage and turned the lights on. Vehicle going back on Wednesday to be sorted
  12. Well I CBA going today so I rung them. They'll give the car a wash and remove the marks from the car on Wednesday
  13. Bit late to the party, but the Advance model is technically below the F-Sport but above the Luxury. It doesn't have the HUD for example which the F-Sport had as standard. That X1 is a CAT C write off!! Hence, the price. You may want to look at the X1 beforehand as the quality is similiar to a 1 series. Im not a fan of the X1 and X3, they're refinement is not a patch on the RX, or even the IS for that matter and the quality leaves much to be desired. Reliability is a key area for concern with them too and parts are expensive!
  14. 1) Under settings and then nav, you can change the volume of the woman in the dashboard. 2) Under the dash, you have to stick your neck all the way underneath to find it. In the same place as the IS roughly. Bear in mind that you DO NOT have to set the TPMS every time you put air in. 3) No paint code for any Lexus wheels. The shiny chrome look on the Luxury most certainly is standard but can be a pain to match if kerbed. Hope that helps
  15. Well yes, Im going to see the manager with the car still covered in wax. Im not after much but I want it washed again for a start - the wax will still be on the car so doesn't need reapplying which is good otherwise it'd take ages. Its not been wiped at all so I presume they must have forgotten. The interior is absolutely immaculate though and they've done a great job there so I wonder if they did just forget as I haven't had this problem before. I paid nearly £500 according to the service plan for the 40k service - I wouldn't want a car back with wax residue on even after a £40 valet
  16. Right, so the huge list I had for Lexus Bradford for the IS300h has been done (almost) 1) service and mot done. Alignment was out so that was done for £65 2) Recall for rear arches done 3) driver side door light done 4) full valet done - was a **** job. I didn't see it there but in my garage with the lights on, the car is completely covered in wax residue. In other words, it's not been wiped at all I haven't spoken to them but im taking car back tomorrow and getting the centre manager out to see if that's the standard he expects.
  17. 1) with regard to the seat icon to the left of the clock - you cannot make that go away. Its part of the climate control system which shows you in what direction the air is blowing i.e towards your feet, your head or both. 2) The USB stick takes a while to load when first put in so might take a while to become highlighted. Keep it in place, don't remove it otherwise itll keep taking ages to load up. Once loaded and left in, it will be instant. If it doesn't work, pop it out and try the other USB socket and see if it works. If not, most likely to be the USB stick. Ive had trouble with a few which were intermittently loading but since replacement, its all good.
  18. Great walkaround video found on youtube of the upcoming Lexus LS. Appears that Lexus have listened to comments and updated the navigation system graphics which look much fresher. I also like the burgundy colour but a lighter interior choice would certainly be the way to go on this beast
  19. A good leather repair specialist should be able to do it and match the colour so that you would never know its there.
  20. Definitely an MK3 RX over an NX. The refinement is at another level with the RX range compared to the NX. If you were a few weeks earlier, my RX F-Sport was sold for £23500 with 46k miles on it - 2012 and was immaculate. If you want a Premier, they'll be around the same price but harder to find.
  21. Most kwik fit centres have hunter machines now Its not the machine - plenty of other machines out there which do the same job - its the monkey thats adjusting the wheel that is to blame.
  22. Both usually tend to go at the same time more or less. Its on the inner edge so could be - but most likely to be alignment.
  23. Yep, dealers tend to be rubbish and the C63 does come with HUGE bills. I think the services are around £500-800 each
  24. Alignment and bushes would be the first things to check Seems like there may be excessive negative camber up front
