  1. Id check that vehicle out thoroughly before purchase. I bought my 4RX from cheltenham and wasn't happy with the prep and I had to sort out quite a few cosmetic issues myself which I wouldn't expect on a 1 year old vehicle. In other words, their prep is substandard. I wouldn't be worried about the mileage myself. Mine had 46k on when sold and didn't feel any different to when new. As long as the maintenance has been done, it's fine. Cheltenham sold my 2012 white/black with ML and tracker at 46k for £2350 for reference. It was on for £23990 Also wouldn't be worried about ebay either. It's the individual dealers that you need to be wary about.

  3. Well lets just say you shouldn't really have to change brakes under 80-100k miles. My 3RX was on 60% wear with 46k miles on it! Unfortunately, the RX does chew through tyres though - my 4RX is currently on 4mm at 13k miles lol
  4. They'd be mad not to offer it in the UK or Europe but indeed it might be a special order. Still £160k is steep - circa £100-110k would be ideal. The LC is an odd one, Lexus themselves have stated it even competes with an Aston Martin DB11 and a Porsche 911. Both very very different vehicles IMO
  5. Just to add to this - The Nisshoku wheels were indeed discontinued as not many people bought them and they did have issues with the finish peeling. I believe some owners were offered brand new original spec wheels for free to replace them. In the past, especially on the 2nd generation IS and RX, it wasn't really the finish of the wheel that was the problem. It was the metal underneath which was more prone to corrosion and therefore would cause the paint to bubble and peel off. In newer models, this does not appear to be the case. Corrosion on the 3IS, 3RX and 4RX is extremely rare and only occurs if using harsh acidic chemicals on the wheels every wash. These chemicals should not be used routinely but once a year will not do much harm if any (speaking from personal experience). On the older wheels, touch it with acidic wheel cleaner and you'd notice a new paint bubble the day after! I believe the new wheels are all made by BBS.
  6. Ah yes I knew that - what I really meant was the RX300/350 SE-Ls! Yes. Should clarify that the 3rd Gen RX450h Premier has air suspension but the 4th Gen has standard suspension with AVS. I agree regarding the NX, feels a lot smaller inside than its size would suggest.
  7. The 450h Premier still has air suspension I'd be going RX everyday of the week if I was given a choice between RX and NX. The RX is a much more polished vehicle all around
  8. I'd put it for £19k with a view of selling at £18.5k. Unfortunately optional extras are worth nil on a used vehicle but may aid in how quickly the car will sell I don't doubt the car would be put on Lexus forecourt for £21995
  9. After doing some digging, it does appear that the suspension and chassis have been slightly tweaked. Whether or not you can tell when driving is something else entirely. Turns out the NX200t has not been discontinued after all and is actually going to be offered as an NX300
  10. I believe those wheels will only be on the Premier. The wheels looks exactly the same as the ones on the current RX and look top notch in person. The black bits are inserts which can be changed. Most likely, they will be silver on the standard car. Im not too sure - cars like the 1.0l Auto Golf SE exist which are cheaper than the CT. Additionally, with servicing taken into account, the Golf would actually work out cheaper to buy and own
  11. I dont think they've done anything to the dampers. Im not even convinced the F-Sport has adaptive dampers but we'll have to see when it lands. Not sure about exterior colours - haven't see any new ones pop up yet. Nope, carry over.
  12. I think its the lighting as the plastics have a sparkle to them. Its black plastic, same in colour and texture as black plastic around the arches. It looks fine IMO
  13. The RX is wider and longer than the NX albeit marginally. The NX is actually quite a bit smaller than the IS is so its not as massive as you would think. From memory when the RX was parked next to the IS in the garage, the length was roughly the same. However, I find driving the RX much easier as it had a shorter wheelbase and was easier to turn etc NX smaller than IS: If going by numbers alone, the IS has a length of 4680mm and a width of 1810mm without mirrors. The NX is 4630mm and 1845mm width. The 3RX has a length of 4770mm and a width of 1895mm without mirrors. RX is about 9cm longer than an IS and maybe 3.5cm on either side wider. Certainly won't be able to tell when driving it, its easier to drive than the IS and even easier to judge where everything is as the bonnet doesn't rake down as much etc
  14. Personally I think it looks OK on the CT especially as its supposed to be a car designed to lure younger buyers into the brand. I think the Silver on black works rather well
  15. The NX Facelift had its European debut yesterday at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The NX remains largely unchanged with revised bumpers, lights and wheels. The interior now gains a larger centre screen and some new metal switchgear.
  16. The CT200h had its European Debut yesterday at the Frankfurt Motor Show along with the NX. The CT remains virtually unchanged apart from the new grill, bumpers, lights and wheels. The Wheels appear to be inspired from the RX. An interesting new design element is the two tone roof which extends down the A pillars and down the C pillar slightly and has never been seen before on a Lexus.
  17. I don't think it's the LCF engine that they're testing. I think it's the new 4.0l V8 single turbo they'll be testing for the RC-F and GS-F Ah inside knowledge
  18. Most cars tend to lose alot within first 3 years anyway. My wife's IS300h F Sport with premium nav and leather had a list price of £37k. After 2 years I got it for £23k with 10k miles on the clock. Id get £17k p/x for it and had it for 2 years so only cost me £2.5k per year in depreciation. The F Sport variants seem to hold their value better than the Premier counterparts from what I can tell but ultimately, Lexus seems to dictate the prices
  19. The above article is no good. The camo RCF is a mule. Let's just say it prob has a different engine note..... I would also expect a mid cycle refresh to bring the interior in line with the IS. I've heard talks of a hardcore rcf with 500+hp similiar to an M4 competition pack so could be that too
  20. 26-28mpg in town, 32mpg or more on a run depending on how fast you're going. It used to sit at about 35mpg at 70mph
  21. As above Its useful when the transmission gets stuck or when the car won't start and car needs to be moved.
  22. A new Lexus will be revealed at the LA motor show on 29th November this year. They've cheekily only provided the following image: Guesses?! Possibly the new RX 7 seater, maybe the new GS/ES or possibly the new LFA (oops, I let that one slip....)
  23. Admittedly, if you do the Burgundy Red colour, this F-Sport has been on for a while at Lexus Sheffield with only 39k on the clock. The interior pretty much looks pristine and its actually under budget at £23450.   24. I wouldn't use Whatcar as a basis to value the car on - they seem to be very very optimistic. The only 2 I use, and the dealers for that matter are HPI valuations and Autotrader valuations. They'll give you a P/X price and a private price and ultimately up to you on how you want to sell the car. Private price would be around £18.5k and P/X around £17.5k but dealers usually go under this so I would say expect £17k from a dealer. I've found HPI valuations more accurate (formerly CAP) which the dealers use so they know what price to fling the car off in auction if it doesnt sell on the forecourt
