  1. Yes, Im sure it is. I can remember it was in an interview, although it was a few years back - maybe 5 or so. I'll take a look and see if I can find the interview
  2. Simple answer is no chance. The NX is very practical in the sense it has a decent sized boot and plenty of space for 4. With the CT, although you'd get them in, remember that its lower and if you're kids are very young and need strapping in their seats, its back pain waiting to happen. The CT also has a very small boot compared to other hatchbacks on the market which I believe is a combination of the shape, and the hybrid battery packs under it. If I am perfectly honest, I found the CT a bit of a pain to drive compared to the NX and a few reasons for that: 1) rear visibility is the worst in class as the window is too small (probably not going to be a hit with your wife for this reason) 2) Its low so can scrape the doors on high kerbs or if the road is at a slight angle. 3) I found it very small inside - my son has a VW Golf, the MK5 which is smaller than a CT and its huge inside in comparison.
  3. Yep as said already, wonderful colour! I had a test drive last month with both the V8 and LC500h! I know which one Id choose, definitely the V8 as I couldn't stop smiling although did find some of the gearing was a bit long - was doing about 70mph in 3rd! Those wheels look great in Chrome but seem like they'd be very picky on how they're cleaned, what chemicals are used and particularly if they get kerbed!
  4. Sky blue and deep sea blue have been around for a while now. They were available on the facelifted pre-refacelifted (if thats what you call it) CT. Azure blue is just Ultra blue with a silver coating in between for more shine and has been around on the other vehicles for a while. No new colours from what I can tell.
  5. They look dreadful though, somewhat similiar to adding stabilisers to a race bicycle. Heard many reports of them flicking off and damaging paintwork too.
  6. Worth remembering that Motorpoint sell a lot of imported vehicles from Cyprus etc.
  7. Only vehicles equipped with the Premier pack will get the new headlight design. F-Sport still has the same headlights as it does now unless you opt for the Premier pack which gives you the new LED units. F-Sport gains Solar Flare. All other colours remain the same but they now have Two-tone paint options. Interior colours for the F-Sport includes the addition of White leather. Luxury and above grades get the option of white leather or sandstone which replaces the old cream leather. They have reduced the price of Premium Nav which is now £750. However, for some reason, the convenience pack is showing as an option for the F-Sport which includes keyless entry and all around parking sensors. I believe this is probably a mistake. Additionally, the Luxury spec only has 2 front sensors and 4 rear ones. Im pretty sure they had 4 sensors at the front but I could be wrong.
  8. Actually its not ludicrous. I believe one of the Chief Engineers at Lexus said that he doesn't like the feel of the E-CVT and would like to use a conventional automatic but the reason they can't use it is simply down to packaging it into the vehicle. Its too long to fit with all the other bits. Hence why they've bolted a 4 speed auto onto the E-CVT to get a multistage hybrid with 10 gears so it feels more progressive like a conventional auto
  9. 1) Yes correct, they do just come on. 2) They appear yellow from inside the car which I find odd because from outside, they look the same colour as the DRLs on the wifes IS.
  10. The reliability index website you are using is flawed and wrong. Simple Enough said.....
  11. Spotted an E55 AMG on ebay the other day, seems to have sold now but thats probably a good investment. Only had about 40k miles on it, was in a lovely burgundy colour which was nice compared to the usual silver ones. Also spotted a Phoenix Yellow M3 SMG - good investment those at the minute. C55 prices seem to be going up and older, looked after M5s as well.
  12. Trip to specsavers on the cards? Looks like white, orange and blue to me. Its a Limited Edition run, similiar to the First Edition so I would expect it to be higher in terms of pricing
  13. Why do you find the pricing surprising? Lexus Bradford quoted me £60 for 18" and £80 for 19"s and above which isn't too bad to be honest. How did you manage to get them down to 0.9mm! Don't you check them! tut tut
  14. Bit of a silly thing to say. Are you wanting Skoda prices for Audi diagnostics as well? The higher costs pays for wages (which incidentally are higher at Lexus than Toyota), the fancy showrooms and many more things. I wouldn't say its a warranty claim unless there is a problem with it. In other words, if the shocks are leaking, or there is a defect. Lots of cars have suspension squeaks over bumps particularly cars with higher mileage. My previous RX had the rear suspension squeak over large bumps, the Audi A7 suffers from suspension noise, so does the Lexus NX to an extent. Additionally, suspension is one of those things where its very easy to say wear and tear
  15. Thats the colour combo in the debut commercial so probably has been on the cards a while Whats the price? Id expect it to be a bit higher
  16. Interesting. Also worth remembering that white and red cars should probably come with that statement in the handbook too - after all, red cars go pink and white cars go yellow if not protected
  17. Different dealer groups, or atleast different depots may use their own sensor types though. I believe some of Lexus vehicles drop down in Liverpool and others in Grimsby and they could be using their own types of sensors or what they're familiar with.
  18. Remember that a car's seat will "wear in" over time. I found the bolsters in my RX really stiff at first but they've worn in over time and very comfortable. Visibility is fine - what are you comparing it to? Obviously a box like a Skoda Yeti is going to have better visibility simply because of the square shape and massive windows. Id only class something like an RR Evoque or Lamborghini Huracan as having poor visibility at the rear. What do you need to change that has functions at the side of each steering wheel? I find that really odd as most of those buttons are "do it once and forget it" kind of thing
  19. Might be the actual sensor type and installation. Worth remembering that the Sport spec doesn't have factory fit sensors and they are dealer fitted. Therefore, they could be of any brand and type which may work differently
  20. Not really a fan of those - spoils the overall look IMO. I don't get the door edge protectors either - I've never had an edge chip in 20 years of motoring as I'm in the habit of sticking one finger around the door if against a wall in the garage etc. I also told the kids not to open the doors (and was very stern) and told the wife to be careful or else I'll burn the handbags in my woodburner. Additionally, whilst the front doors of a car parked next to your NX may hit the door ding protector, the rear door of that said car would hit the wheel archs or something else.
  21. No they dont. Only standard sunroof i.e tilt and slide or Glass roof - non opening
  22. £180 does seem extremely cheap for a Full service. As above, make sure they're using the right grade oil - OW-20 - seems to be about £30 for 5l by the looks of things My son's Golf costs about £200 for a full service at my local indy
  23. You can get the original Denso Blades which are really good. Works out cheaper than actually buying the refills from Lexus https://www.carparts4less.co.uk/cp4l/p/-/-/-/-/?485778226&0&cc5_167 22" passenger side blade https://www.carparts4less.co.uk/cp4l/p/-/-/-/-/?485778266&0&cc5_167 26" drivers side blade Use code WEEKEND12 to get them for a £24.38!!
  24. Yes - definitely a sales tactic for the time being. Because Ewan Shephard recently said they're coming out with plug ins in the next 2 years. And then got shut down by another Lexus director saying they were going to skip plug ins and go straight to EV
  25. Last time I used it, 15ml was good for 4 x 18" wheels face and barrels. Bear in mind it needs curing for around 12 hours though but you should be good for 1-2 years afterwards
