  1. By the way, the current word is that the GS/ES which is coming in the next few months is going to be a 4 door coupe!
  2. A Cadoxton Slate one has just popped up on AT - again a MY10 one with the LSD at £17450 with 72k miles. Appears to have all the documents in place too and cheaper than the Grey one you've posted already https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201710250637403?make=LEXUS&model=IS F&logcode=p
  3. What is this sorcery? I've been updating the system through USB and that's usually what dealers do
  4. Dont know where you heard that from but thats BS. The nav system and firmware is separate.
  5. Yes it is, owner has been putting it around the £19-20k mark so I presume its just a typo and should say £18500
  6. Very nice! its the Top Gear & Grand Tour GS-F - atleast when you come to sell it you can say JC sat in it! Did you P/X the IS-F? Son is dreaming about an IS-F but its unlucky that they won't insure him!
  7. Meh who cares, can't buy it anywhere apart from Japan anyway!
  8. Yes, should just be plug and play - the front bumpers in all facelift CTs are the same The F-Sport just has a different grill, fog light surrounds and additional black paint under the foglights
  9. Unlikely to be air con gurgle then. The hybrid system does make some gurgling and whirring noises, especially after its turned off (it freaks people out in the car park) as does the auto parking brake so most likely it is normal behaviour of the hybrid system.
  10. Yep rain sensor. If you want a good oem looking dash cam, go for the spytec a119 and mount it on the right side of the mirror. Display can be set to turn off after few mins so shouldn't distract
  11. They might entertain you if you say it crashes and it's buggy. I believe there's a TSB out for the older systems but only if customers complain about it to their dealer. Shouldnt really be charged considering it used to be free.
  12. Would recommend michelin cross climates too. Goodyear vector 4 seasons are a decent tyre as well but not sure on whether it's available in IS size.
  13. Few things it could be: Air con gurgle if been regassed and not done properly. Or its the normal hybrid gurgle which happens every so often.
  14. Probably should change the rears too then. 26k sounds about right, the oem dunlops on my 3RX were changed St that mileage but I opted to change all 4 together to Michelins. The dunlops were very skitterish
  15. Ah never mind, my key must have been an older one then as it didn't have inside screws!
  16. I did on the RX450h after the OEM set wore out. No issues at all in fact, the road noise was reduced and they had more grip. There was no noticeable difference in MPG Of course this only applies to the tyres that I got which were Michelin Latitude Tour HP but I believe they are discontinued now
  17. If you are looking at bollards you really do want the automated ones with sensors to stop them jacking the car up unwittingly. They're about 80cm high so would need digging that much to get them flush with the ground. Once they're in though, no one's going to get that thing out and.... It's not much faff to get it up, you just need to press the right buttons when parking up after work ;)
  18. For the styling I like it. Looks more aggressive from the front but the grills stand out too much in anything other than a dark colour on the F Sport. Addition of longer rear tail lights is certainly welcome and looks spot on IMO as the current ones looked a tad small and only 1 bulb lights up for the brake lights which i thought was unsafe but thats changed now, a few light up so easier to see. New screen is a bonus and the new toggle switches look and feel better. Overall not bad at all but I think they should have paid some attention to the drivetrain and given it the IS engine atleast if the wanted to keep costs down.
  19. Bollard is a good option although roller gates or the likes might be a similiar price (some of these bollards cost like £2k) Might help if you put a motion sensor LED floodlight there as well
  20. Only the outermost plastic cover is attached by a screw. The inner battery cover just pops off so not a problem there.
  21. Why don't you park the car at the entrance of the dealer and kick up a fuss. Works very well when other customers are in the showroom too. These issues seem isolated to your car, nobody else seems to complain about their 300h drivetrains
  22. Just crack it open and swap the internals with an eBay replacement. Don't forget the immobiliser chip btw
  23. That's odd because I've already seen some in the showroom
  24. Should mention that the NX F Sport with Premier pack should be coming with a credit card key as its essentially Premier spec with F sport aesthetics
