Interesting look - not a fan personally - I would rather stick with the summers all around winter than put those bad boys on! But each to their own!

£287.50 each fitted LOL Thats Michelin PS4 money!

Another option- Hankook winter I cept evo2 for front and back: https://www.tyreleader.co.uk/car-tyres/hankook/winter-i-cept-evo2-w320/235-40-r19-96v-742197 https://www.tyreleader.co.uk/car-tyres/hankook/winter-i-cept-evo2-w320/265-35-r19-98w-750935 £1150!!! Who's given you that, flipping rip off that is. Even if you got these ordered and had Lexus fit them, they'd be £800 MAX They also have rave reviews by the looks of it.

1st Gen RX <2003 didn't have air suspension AFAIK 2nd Gen RX 2003-2009 had air suspension but was notoriously unreliable. This was only on the RX300 and RX350. The RX400h did not have air suspension on any grade 3rd gen RX (2009-2015) had air suspension and DAB on the SE-L and facelifted Premier models. Advance and Luxury models from 2012-2015 have standard suspension. They also have DAB Word of warning though - DAB is crap - honestly, FM sounds better

Which to choose

Very true - although I also think its true that those who tend to park further away tend to be more careful with their cars. I went to Tesco the other day and parked at the very end of the car park and there was no other car there. I came back to find a very nice 17 plate C63 parked next to me and a Jaguar XE which looked like it'd just been polished. Both had left plenty of space for doors to open as well. Welcome to the world of OCD. Im not worried about my car getting damaged for example kerbing the wheels - i try my best to make sure it doesn't happen though. I would be more comfortable if I got an edge chip through myself being careless than if I found a ding in my door from someone else hitting it. it seriously infuriates me when its someone else that damages my car - they don't have that right, only I do! -
Not entirely. The GS250 was cheaper to buy than the 300h and with mighty discounts even at launch. Additionally the refinement of the 300h and 450h can't really be compared, neither can the performance or extra bits like Rear wheel steering on the GS atleast. The difference with the Q5 is that the base engine is actually fine in terms of performance simply because of the torque rendering it slightly unneeded to change up to a 3.0l. The problem the NX has is that the base motor is lacking power and I can bet 9/10 most would pay an extra £3-4k for the NX450h and it'd tempt people away from the RX450h which is one of Lexus main models Also the Q7 is a 7 seater whereas the Q5 is a 5 seater. Lexus only has 5 seaters in the range until next year. I doubt many Q5s sell in the 3.0l diesel anymore. The majority are 2.0l diesels.

Its similiar to how Lexus brought out the GS450h and GS250 to begin with. They had a 50:50 sales split I believe. However, when the GS300h came out, this changed - barely 10% of GS sales are GS450h anymore. So you can imagine what would happen if they brought out an NX450h. There wouldn't really be any plausible reason to get an RX and sales would dwindle, especially as they'd have to price the NX cheaper by atleast £3-4k

Front Parking Sensors?
rayaans replied to Chunky1234's topic in Lexus IS 300h / IS 250 / IS 200t Club
I've just realised why that is. It's because the front bumper has sensors for the pop up hood behind it so nothing to drill through unless you're drilling in the corners -
Lexus has released a teaser of a new concept - the LF-1. It is deemed to be a flagship crossover, therefore probably surpassing the RX for pure luxury when/if it is released. It appears that there is a panoramic roof which blends into the boot glass. There is also a small side profile picture of the LF-1 on the right side showing it to have a very long bonnet and short overhangs possibly indicating an RWD SUV based on the GA-L platform from the current LC and LS

GS is about the same size as the RX. The IS is about the same length as the 3RX. The NX is smallest of the lot.

You can add Business nav to the basic infotainment system if you really want to. Dealer only thing though

How did you manage to take a photo whilst driving and having the phone on the centre console.....

Front Parking Sensors?
rayaans replied to Chunky1234's topic in Lexus IS 300h / IS 250 / IS 200t Club
Both my cars have them fitted from the factory so not an issue for me. However, I can't see why they can't fit them onto the IS because the NX Sport has the option of front and rear parking sensors fitted by the dealer. Its an aftermarket add on in dealer disguise so instead of putting a 4 input unit in, they'd just need to get a 6 input unit as they would only fit to the front sides in the IS as the OEM factory parking sensors have 2 on the sides and 2 in the actual grill. -
Front Parking Sensors?
rayaans replied to Chunky1234's topic in Lexus IS 300h / IS 250 / IS 200t Club
Has it just got rear parking sensors already fitted? You can get front parking sensors fitted but they may have a different tone and look to the rear ones. Also, not really sure why you need them? Presumably you can see out the front and the bonnet is pretty normal in size. Point is, you'll get used to it. If in doubt just don't go forward - sounds obvious but it's true -
Welcomed but won't happen as it'll mean RX sales will be cannibalised The RX is insane though, much more than just a larger car and the difference between the NX and RX is like night and day. The NX is more akin to the IS300H. The RX is like a GS but even more refined with the 3.5l V6

How many NX200T owners on here?
rayaans replied to paulrnx's topic in Lexus NX300h / NX200t / NX350h / NX450h+ Club
The NX200T actually has better traction as its properly 4wd with a locking system rather than independent axles like the 300h Can't imagine economy being much worse than an IS200T maybe 5mpg overall -

It's no wider than a 3RX. I've found people don't like parking near the RX, especially if you park on the line. I've resorted to just parking at the very end of car parks and then just walking -
What did you clean them up with and how did you do it? I can probably show you how to make it better. Also, should be able to find mats from Lexus dealer if you want OEM or there are plenty of other manufacturers of mats like Carmats4u etc etc. Go for something between £35-60 and they should be very durable unless you get duped.

Do they squeak on the NX? Because they did on the RX and drove me crazy. The Bosch ones I got in OEM Volvo XC60 size with the push button adapter (not the multiclip because these are poorer design an dont work as well) and they have been a godsend. The Denso Hybrid blades are the dogs danglies - but they only work well on certain cars. If they're OEM fitted - like on the CT, 2IS, 3IS, 3GS, 4GS and 3RX, I would not bother going for anything else. However, don't tend to work well on cars with previous conventional wipers or flat blade styles

Jaguar XJ is huge! It's more of an LS competitor. 3.0 supercharged engine is a peach although not as great in the XJ as it is in the F-type and XE because of extra mass. You won't get more than 18 mpg in town though and certainly no more than 27-30 on motorway. JLR reliability is shocking too. Probably one of the least reliable companies going at the minute and arguably worse than even the Germans

RC facelift heading our way?
rayaans replied to AndyCLexus's topic in Lexus RC Owners Club / RC 200t / RC 300h Club
Yes the discounts were around £4k on finance and £2k if bought outright. My dealer mentioned something about mid-december being a key time for some changes - not sure whether they're going to change the pricing again or the spec. I presume an RC Sport model might come out with blacked out wheels -
RC facelift heading our way?
rayaans replied to AndyCLexus's topic in Lexus RC Owners Club / RC 200t / RC 300h Club
Just to confirm, had a long chat with my dealer regarding this - Orders can still be put through as the car is still being made. He thinks the facelift may be showed off at end of January for June deliveries but no confirmation yet. As of now, the RC current gen is still being made and shipped from Japan
