  1. Yes ML is standard. Which year IS300H are you looking at as they have different specs. 2013-17? Or post-facelift? The premier on the pre-facelift models only had sunroof and adaptive cruise control as options
  2. Makes sense - in the NX its transversely mounted, hence the position of the engine. The IS has a longitudinal mounted engine. Not really sure why they are swapped around though
  3. What tyres are you on? Tyres certainly make a huge difference to the ride. To be honest - its an SUV and will ride rougher on battered roads. The laws of physics means the suspension has to be harder than on a car with a lower centre of gravity to be able to pass safety tests and anti-rolling ability. Having said that, I had the F-Sport and it was firm but not hard. The Luxury was better when I tested it but the handling wasn't as good so I opted for the F-Sport. You won't find any other SUV from the 3RX era rides much better unless its running on much smaller wheels
  4. PPF has its advantages and disadvantages. Main one is the golf ball effect also called peppering. Lexus tends to respray panels regardless of how small the damage. It's easier and looks much better than leaving clear coat lines everywhere Although in cases of stone chips, you could get away with doing a fill and wet sand method which would be almost invisible.
  5. Yes looking at that it would leave a blindspot at the very front. However, having said that I wouldn't think that the blindspot would be that much of an issue The sensors won't be picking up very narrow objects like thin poles anyway, my factory fit ones certainly don't.
  6. You say that but how much do you want to bet they won't give more than £500 off the listed price!?
  7. Where's the slight deformation in the rear bumper? Cant see it Back lights are definitely not IS-F - they have amber turn signals Rear boot seal looks fine. It's probably had its rear end shunted by a van or something - wouldn't stop me buying as long as it drove OK and nothing was amiss in the rear - would probably change those rear lights out though! Otherwise the car looks in decent nick and there's no odd panel gaps in the rear. However, another white one has just come up with 38k miles on it which looks good
  8. No idea but I would have thought they'd just say to change the original tyres to winters
  9. Thats exactly what I was thinking about scratches and scrapes etc. I quite like the interior colour - think it looks pretty exclusive.
  10. Might be doable behind the grill but not behind the bit under the bumper as there's no space due to the pop up hood sensors and gubbins
  11. No, there's too much grip in the IS but when its snowing, there's less grip for obvious reasons but the car won't allow any slip whatsoever - traction control goes berserk. Turn it off and it lets some slip through but even then, not enough to my liking :)
  12. No not a typo - i've found it very very hard in normal driving to make the IS slip at all - only does it in colder weather with traction control off, and even then, not properly!
  13. I enjoy a bit of slip though - getting any in the IS is a chore in itself - got a bit too much traction and traction control cuts in even when completely off. Its been fine in winter without any winter tyres - not so in the previous Merc which would benefit greatly from winter tyres. I love giving the RX some in snow with traction control off - the OEM bridgestones are rubbish but they're OK at low temperatures - just need warming up a bit first. Really like the MK5 Golf at low temperatures though, spins the front wheels everywhere in 1st gear - its a hoot! Im not entirely sure that winter tyres would make much difference to my driving in good conditions below 7 degrees. It barely gets under that temperature anyway, recently its been about 5-6 degrees but its usually bang on 7 or above on most days around here. I did run M+S tyres on the previous RX which were good all year round but can't seem to get any in the 4RX size.
  14. We got about 0.5cm lol - washed out within 15 minutes. Now you see why I don't bother with winter tyres
  15. Got barely anything. Although I discovered that the 4RX no longer has the Snow Mode. ECO seems to do the job in the same fashion though
  16. If G101 can't lift it, unlikely that Aldi Carpet cleaner will touch it. I suspect the Aldi cleaner will be full of bleach - e.g. listed as oxidising agents which will make the stain invisible as such - but you can do that with vanish if you really want.
  17. No electric seats?! In a Jaguar?! They should be ashamed of themselves. The GS300h F-Sport comes with electric everything
  18. I believe its 5.5". Someone fitted a 4.5" tip and had about 0.5" on each side on the exhaust tip
  19. Probably not the smartest idea to post it on the internet for all to see that's all Im not an advocate to using the phone whilst driving either - seen plenty of what that can do - should be in your pocket ideally
  20. You could always change them if you wanted to although Im not sure whether it'd be a D2S or D4S bulb I would expect you need something with 6000K colour. Not my pic but mine looks exactly like below. When I look hard enough, yes, maybe the LED foglights have a blue tint to them compared to the headlights but the DRLs are the same colour as the headlights
  21. Thats fair enough buddy! Also does depend on where you live I guess. All this talk of snow and I was just waiting as needed to go to work today at 8am but hey ho, nothing here.
  22. I had this issue on a Merc C220 CDI a few years back - turned out it was the fuel in the end. It didn't like Sainsbury's diesel and would intermittently rev at idle - solved after using BP standard diesel
  23. Yep, Id be wanting another car if its that big a job - or certainly free servicing. MOT, extended warranty for 5 years atleast.
  24. Unfortunately, there is a Nokian available for the front tyres but there is no option for the rear tyres. The Hankook and Continentals appear to be the same ones front and back without costing £1000+
