  1. Much appreciated Big Rat, although I have to confess that my "F" knowledge is also quite good, if I say so myself! The only problem is Ive not owned any of them, and unfortunately don't get to drive them very often either. Maybe some day, if an RX-F or NX-F come out!
  2. @baxlin had the pre-facelift IS. These came with a different grill and the parking sensors were built into them as the pre-facelift Advance Spec had parking sensors fitted from factory as standard The facelift Advance does not have factory fitted parking sensors, I would presume because it means that the Luxury model doesn't get any buyers otherwise The facelifted Premier has the same grill as an Advance but has built in sensors. Its a completely separate grill though so the whole piece would need to be bought
  3. Rear parcel shelf needs removing ideally for the rear tints. Otherwise its a PITA to do
  4. The ones made in Mexico are for the american market, hence why they are made there. Easier and cheaper to ship to US and Canada
  5. Fair enough, maybe the warranty is not affected but resale value certainly will be How many people do you know that will buy a car without a service history costing more than £30k?
  6. Toyota have already confirmed they'll have an electric model for each vehicle in their lineup by 2020. They're a huge company - they'll have a huge market share as they have plenty of experience with batteries since 2005 if not earlier. Service costs are barely any different. Have you seen Tesla service costs? I doubt the maintenance is ever going to be cheaper. Do you really think any company would reduce their service prices and lose income for their fancy showrooms, no chance.
  7. Quite a lot of choice really - Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 would be my choice Handy because they're also available in front size too
  8. You press the alarm disarming button before locking the vehicle. Pretty much as simple as that.
  9. Maybe the batteries are reducing in price but I don't see this affecting Tesla price. They're all hideously expensive for what they are. The interior quality of every Tesla is shocking as is their quality control. Mercedes get trolled for it on their sub £30k A class so I find it hilarious how Tesla don't get it. Must be rose tinted glasses
  10. this is the oem one
  11. All cars have some creaks and rattles.
  12. Doubt they'll be charged wirelessly - its too slow And fast-charging means reduced battery life So some punter is going to have to replace the batteries at some point - probably at a huge cost
  13. Doesn't matter whether you have protected NCB - if you make a claim, no matter what it is, even for a windscreen sometimes they will push the premiums up If you don't have protected NCB, it just means your premium will go up more than for someone with a protected NCB The rear bumper of an IS-F won't be cheap i dont think
  14. You'd have to drill the plastic grill - nightmare in itself. Then you'd have to colour match it, another nightmare as its not got a colour code. But I agree, the sensors look factory and are in a suitable place as not to impinge too much on coverage
  15. Denso blades are £17.89 for both on CP4L with code PAYDAY
  16. I think they mean smoke as in actual smoke, not water vapour / steam. I'd presume its stuff like Black smoke from those old diesels you sometimes see running down the motorway or blue smoke.
  17. Probably because the RX is designed by different people that design to every other model. They're all designed individually
  18. Underground network of roads lined with plugs 😂
  19. Thats probably why then. Mine is always on Auto air intake
  20. Figured out why mine never works then. I put my bag in the footwell behind my seat.
  21. Providing you have a driveway to charge it.
  22. Agreed, probably made worse in quieter cars as well because its the only thing you can hear.
  23. I think rattles affect any car no matter how they're built. Probably more so around here because we have extremely variable temperatures. Merc S class and BMW 7 series all seem to be affected. Worse on the BMW tbh. I dont think rattles are something we can get rid off, although the IS doesn't have rattles yet - the RX has one coming from near the Pan roof but its very minor.
  24. Was the car fully warm? Have you turned the efficient ventilation mode on in the settings? TBH I wouldn't worry about it - having all vents running is better than just the drivers side.
  25. How much have Lexus quoted you and which mirror glass do you want? I can't find any dimming ones on ebay but the heated ones are fairly cheap. You could also just get a used complete mirror assembly for £150 or so but it depends on how much Lexus have quoted you for the glass.
