  1. With powerflex bushes - you generally keep the existing arms and just pull the old ones out although its a bit of a faff so places just like to replace the whole thing. Look at Meyle or Lemforder - they seem to be the better ones out there. Aristo make the OEM ones for GS430 so you could look at these. Plenty on ebay as well just be careful who you buy from
  2. Not surprised They're a dog of a company. The people who love them tend to love them due to low quotes but their customer service has been consistently shocking for the past few years. I prefer dealing with Chris Knott, much much better
  3. Its fine, I just spray it on either the horizontal part of the seat or the vertical part of the seat, scrub with a leather brush and then remove with an MF
  4. Go to a Toyota dealer - more than likely to be cheaper and be able to get the parts for you no problem. Powerflex bushes are the real deal - could go for them
  5. From what I understand, Lexus count full service history as done within 30 days of the 1 year period or 1000 miles. So technically you can get a service done every 13 months or 11000 miles But im picky so my book is stamped within 2-3 days of 1 year of the last service date lol. Most I've had is about 7 days late
  6. Yes should be OK unless it specifically says on the item that it cant be used on Semi-Aniline leather It takes ages though putting the syrup on and taking it off again, and buffing the conditioner on and off. Do a 50/50 with a better product and you'll see what I mean - the seats might look clean but the dirt the other products pull out is unreal.
  7. Interesting stuff but yes, if its too good to be true, it usually is If you want spark plugs from ebay - buy from the Green Spark Plug Co or recognised seller.
  8. Well I mean it is a dealership so what did you expect? So yes you would need a minor service at £195 which will include the hybrid healthcheck - gives you an extra 1 year of warranty on the hybrid system If you go for other places it'll cost you £199 - £140 +£59 hybrid healthcheck The 100k service will be due in 8k miles or 1 year whichever comes first and its more expensive due to being a more thorough service - its basically a full service + cleaning air flow meter and changing the hybrid inverter coolant.
  9. Lidl do a better one which is triangular shaped with curved edges - gets into the corners better and 99p cheaper if youre looking for a bargain!
  10. I think this is a case of user error - not manufacturing problem. If i tried sitting on a biro, I would expect it to snap - same with the key card Would you put your key fob in the back pocket?
  11. I just got rid of the gliptone twins on ebay Thought they were rubbish tbh - cleaner is slow and takes too many hits - conditioner smells nice but greasy and leaves a shiny look which I dont like Fine for using it every month but I dont have the time to be cleaning all the leather surfaces in an RX every month.
  12. My wife only does about 2.5-3k per year but yes, I always get it serviced at 1 year. TBH shorter journeys and lower mileages are harsher to the engine if its not maintained properly. So I would say yes, get a service done. If its serviced properly though, shorter journeys won't make much different to the life of the engine. And yes, you can just change the due date of the service. I keep mine about 30 days before its actual due date as a reminder to book it in
  13. I'm pretty sure the instructions say spray onto a cloth and rub into seats or something like that. How does that clean them? Says it makes it shiny - leather is supposed to be matt
  14. Don't think that applies to leather seats and door panels. Think its more relatable to carpets but even then, only if not properly dried.
  15. You do realise you've quoted a post that's over 2 years old right? And it's not nonsense. Baby seats are tested on weight, not on age. That's why they say "up to 2 years" rather than until 2 years
  16. Thats tragic - I would assume its more luck than anything else and the type of roads you're going on. Motorways aren't too bad for stone chips IMO unless going behind trucks. Its almost never an issue on the outer lane - touch wood Ive only got the one on my RX. B roads and country lanes are notorious for stones - mainly because of tractors which leave their sediment around and also at this time of year, rock salt. Additionally you tend to have cars coming in the opposite direction which can flick stones to your side of the road. The NX is always going to be more susceptible for stone chips compared to a CRV - look at how low the painted panels go in comparison to a CRV with masses of unpainted plastic at the front and sides. You can always get chip repair insurance but its exactly that - insurance! They only fix chips of a certain size, depth and nature. And then they usually have an excess so its worth looking at the small print before buying it. I know of a few owners of different cars who got stone chips and the insurance company said the paint was too expensive so they had to pay extra - for BMW Champagne Quartz. There was another one who said they would only do a maximum of 6 chips in a 1 year period etc etc
  17. If you mean the 2017 one yes, drove it the other week. Its a beast and extremely quiet inside. The dimensions are almost too big for UK roads and its difficult to find any space that it will fit in - if you do, you cant get out as its very wide as well. But, worth test driving once in a lifetime. Don't think I would buy it though - way too big - even in comparison to the RX
  18. Echoing all the comments here but very very nice I genuinely like the standard wheels more than the Sport and Sport+ ones Undoubtedly easier to fix if curbed as well and less likely to do so in the first place with those beefy tyres!
  19. And I've compared loads! When I say best Im taking into account everything including value for money. Dr leather leather cleaner has the same performance but it's more expensive but that's the next "best" one so to speak. Valetpro leather soap is good but needs 2 hits rather than the 1 with dodo juice. Gliptone cleaner is pathetic in comparison to dodo juice requiring multiple goes but would be OK as a 1 monthly cleaner but that'd be too much effort for me tbh. All purpose cleaner is generally fine but the problem with it is dilution. Too much and you'll degrade the protective coat. Too little and it doesn't clean very well. I'd rather just buy a ready made solution.
  20. Best leather cleaner at the moment? Dodo juice supernatural.
  21. Sonic white/Eminent white - has a sort of glow to it F-Sport white/Ultra white - looks fairly flat and bright white unless the sun comes out when it goes slightly blue.
  22. Should have told you to check out Chris Knott - they offered to beat any quote I had for my RX Directline dont like me - they always give me ridiculously expensive prices Im on Admiral Multicar - £1k for RX and IS.
  23. Still looks fine and the seller is being honest Has a towel underneath the baby seat which is always a good sign Decent price too No alarm bells ringing for me - and its still under warranty
  24. It can probably be done but Id bet nobody has done it in the UK Additionally, it won't change the brake feel as most of the time, its the regen on the IS300H that is braking, not the physical brakes
  25. ECP is fine for pads Although I tend to use CP4L which usually work out a lot cheaper compared to ECP whilst being the same company for different markets However, I have almost always found that OEM is better
