  1. You sure its paint transfer? Velvet black is clearcoated - there shouldn't be any paint transfer unless you've gone through the clearcoat (impossible with SRP) Its more likely to be dirt because SRP has cleansers in it to remove dirt from the pores of the paint. Id suggest Britemax Black max followed by a wax/sealant
  2. Be careful with TFR - not really supposed to be a regular thing. Degrades LSP and is a common cause of sill corrosion. Snow foam - providing its something like BH autofoam should be more than enough tbh On a side note - those wheels weren't even that bad:
  3. GAP insurance is cheaper elsewhere. Worth reading the terms and conditions though because they differ. TBH Ive never bought it. Minor damage insurance is a tough one. Depends on if you think you're going to get your car dinged. It doesn't cover certain dings of certain sizes or depths and there is usually an excess to pay. Some policies have a maximum number of dings and callouts that they will do. Extended warranty isn't worth it on a 2015 NX - you'll get 1 year dealership warranty anyway
  4. Upping their game? Not really. Remember that the NX is actually a 2014 vehicle designed back in 2011 and its just had a facelift The 2021 NX will most likely be all new.
  5. Havent heard of any sticking caliper issues on the 3IS either tbh
  6. They have different sensitivities. Lowest and medium dont work very well at all. Its best on the highest setting. The hand also needs putting on the top 1/4 portion of the badge, not the whole part.
  7. With the risk of being sexist, this thread makes you sound rather womanly.... Us blokes love getting our hands dirty On a more useful note, perhaps use another finger? Preferably not the one you adjust your bow tie with
  8. You can have it for any amount of years. I just chose a 3 year one but I also had the option of 2 years or 4 years. Different dealer groups will do their own benefits and special offers so it'll vary from dealer to dealer.
  9. Mine is an RRG dealer plan. Its not discounted at all but I get: 1) All filters changed (usually they just inspect) 2) Don't have to pay that ridiculous excess they charge if you get in an accident with their courtesy car 3) Free puncture repairs for the whole family 4) 10% off parts and labour 5) 1 free full valet each year - they have their detailers on site (not valeters btw, proper detailers who basically do a maintenance wash) 6) Inflation proofing. So yes, no discounts but added benefits as such.
  10. Should really be there. I still have my 3RX listed on the system and its all there, along with all the 4RX ones and the IS ones. The 4RX one took 24 hours to update.
  11. I would argue that adaptive cruise control and pre-collision system are enough for most users. The rear cross traffic alert is good but its not hugely useful and same with the blind spot mirrors as well and many could do without. I think the big discounts might be on new versions of the base RC. Although the Plus pack might be great value if buying an ex-demo or pre-reg
  12. 255/35 r18 is a very common size. It's used on Merc C class and BMW 3er. 255/40 R18 is quite rare tbh
  13. Can't see why not. It's got an alcantara interior like the carbon but 10k less lol. Metallic paint is included. ML not essential really as the 10 speaker base setup is more than adequate. Will probably have huge £7-8k discounts and will probably hold its value better than the others. They all come with safety system + and adaptive suspension
  14. Ive done a bit of research on this - apparently petrol engines get hotter during normal driving than diesels hence everything will be cleared without needing a long run. Cost roughly £25 to replace but undoubtedly if you go to Lexus this will be around £250
  15. Current price on the price list for the "old" model is showing £62935 after adding Metallic paint and ML options. The new OTR price is £59620 for the base model. Plus pack is £62620. Metallic paint is standard across the range now. http://media.lexus.co.uk/2018/02/equipment-technology-upgrades-2018-lexus-rc-rc-f-coupes/?utm_source=LexusOwnersClubUK&utm_medium=ForumLinks
  16. But the price has still gone down spec for spec. Its showing £62935 with that spec and I don't think you can even get heated steering wheel currently. Also I think you mean the Card key, not the keyless entry because thats standard across the range. 19" alloys are also on the base model - just not forged ones
  17. It looks good but I wouldn't be sure of the quality of materials. The knobs are almost certainly metal looking plastic. A lot of these come from Mercedes Infiniti quality is nowhere near Lexus though that's the issue - it all looks good but you know when you start prodding around.
  18. Torques down as well And so is the price!
  19. And also an ex-owner car - wonder who's it was......
  20. Take one of the fuel pumps off - youll probably double your mpg
  21. Worth remembering that a car's value is also determined by condition. Some of these are absolute dogs with lots of bodywork issues. There's probably a reason why the 2010 IS-F you mentioned being the cheapest, is the cheapest and has not been snapped up yet It's mostly because people looking for an IS-F know what to look out for and are usually car enthusiasts - hence, if they spot something odd, like most car enthusiasts, they'll give it a miss.
  22. They will be doing but it can take months to arrive which usually means its not very urgent and the likelihood is very low Otherwise they'd be ringing people up personally
  23. The touchpad is a pain - much prefer the joystick. I guess MPG depends on driving style and journey types - short distances and you'll be getting about 25-30mpg. Longer runs on the motorway at a steady 70mph will get you about 33-35mpg
  24. No I use Lexus Bradford which are part of the RRG group who include Stockport I presume the equipment would be the same as they recently were refurbished
